I came here to pickup food since one of my friend's friend lives close by and I have to say, I was happy with my meal except for one dish. It was a typical Italian American restaurant with all the classics. The food: Penna A la Vodka with Sausage- This was highlight of the meal, I thought the version here was excellent. The sauce was great, the sausage was a nice addition and the penne paired perfectly. This is a must order. Eggplant Parmesan- This was made well with a nice tomato sauce. The sauce has a bit of sweetness but wasn't over the top sweet. I would get this again. Lasagna- The lasagna was good, the sauce was nice, overall flavor was solid. Chicken Piccata- This was the only dish I didn't care for, while the flavor on the dish was fine, the chicken breast was cooked to death. Also, the artichoke heart they are using for the dish, they need to take out one outer layer because it makes the hear fibrous and chewy. Garlic Knots- I enjoyed the flavor on these but they were oddly a little too airy for me, I like my garlic knots to be crispy on the outside and have a nice chew on the inside. read more

Been here quite a few times. I've only had their pizza, but they do have heros and different types of rolls as well. Great selection of specialty slices on display. In my opinion, the pizza is definitely above average here. Service is pretty friendly and fast. Casual atmosphere with a decent amount of tables. Heard great things about this place so finally tried it when I was in the area! I got a vodka slice and a garlic knot. The vodka slice was so delicious, I loved the sauce and the crust was soft, not too hard. The knot was very fresh and huge which is just what I wanted. They have many speciality slices as well as different desserts. Will definitely be back! read more

The service is great; lovely, friendly, quick staff. The Grandma Pizza is terrific and so is their lentil soup. However, it goes downhill from there. The breads are always dry and stale; not worth chewing/struggling. The Rigatoni Alla Norma was a big disappointment; not good; very bitter. Why don't they substitute olives for that eggplant? But that's not the real problem with this dish; it's just plain bitter and tastes badly. The Sweet Chili Glazed Faroe Island Salmon is extremely salty and sugary. Watch out! The fresh salmon is cooked well though, but too much salt and sugar wrecks it. It is served over a - not a "bed" - but a thin "yoga mat" of Spring Vegetable Egg Fried Rice. This does not look like any actual "fried rice" and there is so little of it - maybe two tablespoons......So, yes to pizza and soup, but no to the real dishes. Just not that good. I came here at 11 AM on a Thursday before catching the train out of town. The sliced pizza didn't look super fresh but the chicken bacon ranch slice still tasted pretty good. The sesame seeds on the crust was a first for me, I'm not sure if it's a local custom but it wasn't bad. The service was ok, the people behind the counter didn't seem very happy to take my order. I visit this spot when I'm visiting family in NY. Last night I ordered pasta with broccoli rabe. It was very tasty. It had lots of garlic. The broccoli rabe was very tender and perfectly cooked. It was a decent portion and I was able to make 2 meals out of it. My pasta dish had a side of garlic knots. I didn't love the knots but didn't mind since they were just the side. My family member had a few cheese pizza slices and enjoyed them. Staff is always friendly and welcoming when I pick up my orders. Ambiance is nice and I always enjoy watching the fish in the fish tank - so calming! Parking is relatively easy since there is street parking and also a parking lot behind the restaurant. read more

Most amazing ice cream in the world. I hype up this place to everyone regardless of where they live that's how good it is. Employees are very friendly too. I would suggest everyone get the campfire smores or birthday cake ice cream. I almost forgot the ice cream shop inside the restaurant. We bought three delicious pints to go, including Cookies & Cream, Black Raspberry, and Peanut Butter Fudge. The server tried hard to pack as much ice cream into each pint as possible, with the lids having a hard time to stay closed. Just ordered straight from their website. Was transferred to the Slice app, placed the order, delivery est 3:49-4:04. Called the store at 4:15, they said I have to deal w Slice. Turns out the delivery person works for Francesca's, not Slice. Just over 90 min to receive soggy cold food. The run around was included at no addl charge. Received my food at approx 4:25 pm, 30 min after a text said my food was on the way ( I live about 7 min from the store. I decided on the blackened shrimp caesar panini. I think that is where it all went wrong! The flavors were great. The shrimp were nice and plump. Not sure if this was a panini though. More like a ciabatta sandwich. Yes, the shrimp were prepared very well, but I'm from New Orleans so I know seafood. You can't give anybody a sandwich with 4 shrimp total on it. I decided to take all of the shrimp and place them on half the sandwich so I could have a halfway decent sandwich. Not complaining about the taste, but for $13 I could surely use more than 4 shrimp on my plate. Even Popeyes knows that a small portion of butterfly shrimp is 8. Come on man!! Over all tasty but not with it if they are gonna skimp on the serving. Maybe get ice cream next time or just pass by. read more
