Well, this place was a nice surprise. We stumbled upon this place only cause another place across the way was closed for the holiday. Which worked out great! Mary's pizza shack makes really good pizza, and the meatballs for two as an app yum. First off, the pizza was cooked perfectly with plenty of toppings and very flavorful. The meatballs and sauce, oh the sauce, I should have had them put it in a jar so I could bring it back home. I live down south in Orange County, and I haven't come across a restaurant that has sauce as well as Mary's pizza shack! The service was friendly and attentive. DoorDash has eliminated Mary's in Windsor from a Central Healdsburg delivery. Whereas they deliver from other restaurants farther away. I called Mary's and spoke to the manager three times. Apparently it's so popular that DoorDash drivers feel that they are loosing money on a delivery beyond 8 miles away. At least that is their excuse. The Mary's franchisees used to be family member operated. If the Windsor operator is family they should be excommunicated. Mary's hamburger has been famous for years and I have had them at numerous Marys locations. The worst burger ever tonight was at Windsor. The True Mary's Burger SHOULD (1) be fresh beef shaped for the (2) Crusty Sour Dough Baggette, with (3) lots of grilled onions and (4) a tasty sauce. INSTEAD I got (1) a Frozen round cheap supermarket patty on (2) a stale supermarket soft roll with (3) three tiny scraps of half-fried onions and (4) some cheap crap vaguely red sauce. Barf. The food was all good except for the cheese sandwich. The focaccia bread was nearly burnt. What was worse was the service made difficult by a slow kitchen. With two of us dining, the food came to the table at different times. My husband was finished with his hot soup 5 to 10 minutes before my cheese sandwich was delivered to the table. Totally grew up on Mary's pizza shack and have always loved it. I ordered take out with some coworkers and of course got pesto bread sticks with extra ranch (they hooked it up and it's the best) and a super good chicken Parmesan (and it's amazing with the fettuccini Alfredo under it). Highly recommended, food is always consistent and great and can always count on it making me feel right back at home. Leaving Sonoma County meant leaving Mary's behind but it will always hold a special place in my heart. Their chicken fettuccine Alfredo, every pizza, and even sandwiches are great. Been here plenty of times but this last weekend we ordered trays for a graduation party. 2 full trays of lasagna, 2 full trays of penne pesto , 2 full marys salads with 6 dressings, 1 full ceasar salad and 6 loaves of garlic bread. I took my mom here for lunch and she ordered the tortellini a la Mary's with cheese bread and I got the lunch Cambo pizza slice with a Mary's salad. The food was very hot and really good! The server was nice and checked on us making sure we were okay. It was around noon so I'm sure it was maybe their slow time but I like that the server was very attentive. Our food came out at a decent time and was hot. I've come before and have had cold food brought to the table and not happy with the service. This time everything was good. The bill was pretty cheap @ $32 especially for Mary's because it's usually pretty expensive. I need to come more often at lunch time lol. Had to settle for Mary's Pizza tonight because Sweet T's was closed. Had pasta at Mary's Pizza it was ok. Bread sticks a bit under cooked my pasta sauce had way to many onions in it and the dish was not hot. Overall pretty disappointed. I will give it another try but not for awhile. read more

I am very disappointed to be writing this review. WORST catering experience ever! I ordered a large lasagna and half tray of pesto. When we got home and opened the tray of pesto it was only a third full. We called to ask them to fix this because we had people to feed we were told we would be called back in 20 minutes, We did not get a call back. After calling again we were told the GM "Jeff" left until Tuesday and we were not going to get free food by the shift leader? "FREE FOOD"? Who said free food? We didn't! That's not only insulting but rude! We just wanted the food we ordered and paid $216.00 for. I have ordered Mary's catering for years and years I have never experienced such incompetence and disrespect. There was no reason for this and there was no effort to make things right. All we got was a shift leader that did not call us a back and a manager not interested in the community that has supported this family business for over 30 years. Unfortunately this checks out with Mary's current reputation in Sonoma county. I was really trying to stay a loyal customer but after such blatant disregard I will never spend another $1 in any Mary's restaurant again. Super friendly staff, our orders are pretty much always ready fast and hot but I think you have to stay away from the salads. I ordered one before and they messed that up so I decided not to again but today their Cobb salad looked so good....got home and pulled out a ton of brown wilted lettuce and slimy spinach. I tried to pick as much as I could because it's a $15 salad but then I start to mix in the dressing and the brown water at the bottom sealed the deal to toss it! Unfortunately not good. Been to this chain many times, but like a lot of things these days, quality has gone down. I give this place 5 years before it's gone, because they're really dropping the ball. They probably won't improve and seem to cater to the grub hub to go world, than the people right in front of them. Came to eat for my mom's birthday and something so small as a miscommunication of a salad order, couldn't seemed to be resolved by the "professional" in front of us. No solution and not willing to try to resolve anything, just an immature blame game over lettuce. Then things got worse after that. The pizza I ordered was wrong but at this point I barely wanted to say anything to the waitress. My kids ordered kid pizzas but they were 2 different sizes. Again, afraid to say anything because at this point our silent waitress seemed unhappy with us and I was so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave. My mom's entree was visibly burnt and it was just an overall disappointment that ruined our dinner that we were hoping would be a nice get together. I know it seems silly when there are worse things in the world. Yet, when you have so many choices these days for food, and everything is so expensive, it's extremely frustrating to feel like you just paid for something you wish you could take back. Not worth it at all. I don't even think they wanted our business, service was slow and it wasn't busy for a sat night. I worked in a few restaurants and too bad some people don't realize that bad business means less people, less tips, less hours til the business goes under. You can see my reviews, I have more positive ones than negative ones. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but someone needs to change their mindset when working with people. Just to be clear, this review is solely based on the service and not the food. As many people know, Mary's Pizza uses Doordash to deliver to their customers, and they receive a lot of business because of this service. I am writing this review as a Doordash driver. I received an order at 8:00 pm. I drive to Mary's and tell them who I'm picking up for. The waitress went to look at the ticket and immediately told me that the order wasn't scheduled to be delivered until 8:30, so "I can cancel if I want". First off, cancel? I'm not canceling an order that a customer placed, and losing money, because you don't want to make the order. I found this to be extremely rude, as there were three other drivers waiting to pick up for their customers as well, who were also being treated poorly. It was clear that they were not making the Doordash orders, and they were making every other order because customers who were picking up their own orders got their food right away and didn't have to wait at all. Multiple delivery drivers left because of this. I go outside and return at 830, when "the order was scheduled to be delivered". A different waitress tells me it's not done yet, so I sit down and wait. As I'm waiting, there are four female waitresses talking behind the counter. One of them says, "This is ridiculous, I'm not accepting anymore orders, I'm not doing anymore orders" loud enough for me to hear her. The older waitress tells her that it's ok and not to accept anymore because "this is just crazy". Seriously? I've been picking up orders for over a year, and I have never witnessed this amount of unprofessionalism. Purposely refusing to fulfill Doordash orders and being rude to drivers who are just there to deliver food to YOUR customers? I wasn't able to pick up the order until 8:57 because of their behavior. On the reciept, the waitress made sure to highlight the delivery time of 8:30, like I'm the reason why it was going to be late. That might have worked if I didn't already let the customer know what kind of horrible service I was dealing with and why their order was so late. Making your customer wait an extended amount of time for their order because it's being delivered by a doordash driver is just petty. Everytime I pick up from this location they act like they are being inconvenienced and they are extremely rude. I'd like to know why Mary's Pizza Shack uses the Doordash service if their employees dont want to fulfill the orders and are rude to the delivery drivers? This is unacceptable, and because of how I've been treated, I'll never frequent a Mary's Pizza Shack as a customer. Your staff needs some serious customer service training. read more

This particular Mary's is sadly disappointing and does not seem to care about customer service or quality. We've been ordering Mary's for years and a family friend is friends with the original Mary's family. The main issue we've had is that they don't have their own delivery service and they rely on DoorDash. The delivery times have never been correct and tonight we waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food. Tonight after waiting over an hour, I called the restaurant and was treated like I was a bother and told there were more important issues to handle than my order. Was told to call back if my order didn't arrive by a certain time to "make it right", and when I did call back, the manager wouldn't even get back on the phone with me. The last two times our order wasn't correct missing half the order, sides and drinks, plus arriving cold. Our favorite items like chicken parm was burnt on the bottom with a discolored sauce that used to appear red in color. I thought it was just delivery that's gone downhill, but we have been inside the restaurant also, and sadly the service was slow and food quality not much better. The quality of the food here doesn't seem to be as good as other Mary's in the area. You would think after the number of poor reviews on here and word of mouth, that this place would make some changes. read more

Wonderful over-priced pizza with the most horrible service ever. I mean no plates when the food arrived, silverware thrown on a pile on the table, half the party served salad and had to beg for the bread while the bread stick order that was said to be done in 3 minutes arrived 20 minutes later, and they were not busy. Three management people standing around doing nothing! When we questioned if this was a new team the response was just as bad, " We are lucky to have staff." Well, train them first for goodness sake don't torture your customer. How can you not know to bring plates for eating lunch? All these small issues can be fixed in five minutes. I ate here recently and ordered the Napoletana pizza. This pizza comes with diced tomatoes, garlic, basil and olive oil, topped with mozzarella. The pizza was delicious. The pizza was made in a reasonable amount of time. We picked the order up so I can't comment about the dine in experience.
