Maharaja jahm
Mitali S.

We went to Masala Bistro during our last minute trip. We waited a few minutes to be seated which was expected due to holiday weekend. The restaurant has beautiful decor and nice ambiance good for family dinner or date night. The person that seated us and took our order seemed extremely distracted. I ordered the Maharaja jahm which I was extremely excited for given it had my two favorite flavors. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed and only managed to drink few sips. We ordered cauliflower Manchurian, chana masala, malai kofta with some tandoori roti. The best part of this meal was the gravy in malai kofta(which tasted like they were frozen bit cold on the inside). Overall it wasn't the worst Indian food I have had. I would return to give it another chance when and if I were in the area again

The food from the restaurant was delicious! My butter chicken was extremely spicy. I ordered from DoorDash and my food came exactly as I order and it was still hot.

Really excellent Northern Indian food for Myrtle Beach, especially since they have a small Indian population in the area. All the tall Indian beers that you could desire, I had the Old Monk and Haywards 5000. We started with the garlic naan and the spicy Gobi Manchurian. The Gobi was especially nice since it was extra crunchy. Our server was really busy but he managed to stop by several times to see how we were doing and let me indulge in a few questions. I had a goat dish that I have not see on any other Indian restaurant menu's and is was delicious. I cannot highly recommend this spot enough if you are in the area and a fan of the cuisine.

We went there for lunch during our vacation at Myrtle beach. Its a very well kept place and ambience was good. We had few drinks and ordered malai chicken as starter. Drinks were ok and starter was not great. We felt it was nut tender enough. Main course had malai kofta, butter chicken and biryani. Malai kofta was best among 3. Naan was good though. We felt that it was little bit on bland side and could have been better if we could get taste of more spices in all dishes.

As a consumer, I would like to pay for what I order and what I eat. Reading the initial comments, I was really optimistic about this Indian restaurant. We've just moved into the area and this was the first Indian restaurant we tried. The decor and everything was really nice so it looked well maintained. We ordered a beer and a kamasutra drink. I tried the drink it tasted odd. No saffron favor and they used a cheap vodka- spider that was burning my throat. So I asked our server if he could switch it or something and he said sorry, we don't do that. alcohol isn't cheap apparently when I asked another server to speak to the manager. So the 10$ I wasted on the drink that I didn't even drink is fine? It's fine for the customer to pay for something that they didn't even consume but you, as an establishment can't lose money ? That's such bull. I will not be coming back and hope the manager does something about it or else he will lose more customers. It's very sad that they can't correct their mistakes or make the paying customer happy. Such a disappointment. Oh also, the food was mediocre. Lacked flavor and spice. Only bonus point was the naan. Thin and crispy.

Excellent Indian food.. Was surprised by the quality available in MB. The appetizers and the main course were fresh flavourful and overall very satisfying

Food quality for vegetarian dishes was poor. Chicken dishes were ok. Workers were friendly.

Authentic Indian food, the portions were generous. The only downfall was that it closes relatively early.

They quickly seated our party of five, which was a great start to our visit. The service was okay. Nothing over the top, but not bad either. There were a few times our drinks got low, and we had to look around for our waitress, but it wasn't a huge deal. One thing I did notice was that the restaurant felt a little warm and humid inside, but with how busy it was, I can understand why. Now let's get to the best part--the food! My mom ate the crab cakes and cleaned her plate. She said they were so good she almost licked the plate clean! The kids had the chicken tenders and loved them. They were just a little overcooked, which is why we ended up taking some home, but they still enjoyed them. My wife ordered the HUGE grilled shrimp salad and finished every bite. She left happy, but she did mention she would have liked a few more shrimp, especially considering the price. As for me, I had the Catch of the Day, which was swordfish. Let me tell you--if you've never tried swordfish before, go to Carolina Roadhouse and order it! I had mine broiled, and it was cooked perfectly. It was tender, flavorful, and hands down one of the best fish dishes I've had. My only complaint? I wanted more! Overall, my little family had a great experience, and we'll definitely be back. Next time, I'll finally be trying the famous ribs that everyone keeps talking about. Thanks for a great meal, Carolina Roadhouse! From the Griggs Family

Unfortunately, this dinner just added to our frustration. We had a 6:15 reservation and waited quite a while before a server arrived. When she did, she was very kind and took our drink and appetizer orders. But everything moved so slowly -- drinks and app took ages, and we placed our dinner order not long after. By 7:30, we still had no food. The server kept apologizing (she really was kind and doing her best), but it was clear something was off in the kitchen or with management. Eventually someone else came over, offered 20% off, and said our meals were "plating now" -- but that wasn't true, because we waited another 20 minutes. We were ready to cancel, and when the food finally came, I honestly couldn't enjoy it at that point. My chicken sandwich was nothing special (definitely not worth the wait), and my mom's scallops were salty and just bad. While our server was lovely, the overall experience with management and the kitchen was disappointing. Won't be back.

The wickisticks were a huge hit and kept him entertained the entire time we were waiting for our food. For such a cute place, it was very kid friendly. They were able to make eggs Benedict on a gluten free biscuit. It was my birthday and it was exactly what I was craving. It exceeded my expectations and the biscuit really added to the flavor. The hollandaise, the Canadian bacon, the poached eggs, and the greens were all perfectly complimentary to each other. I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed the greens. Also I was hesitant to order the fruit as my side because I usually find restaurant fruit cups lacking but the fruit but this fruit was so fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend Seasons for great food and a cute and relaxed ambiance. I can't wait to return to try the salads or flat breads with peaches.

It consisted of 2 deep fried soft shell crabs, 3 deep fried jumbo (and yes, they were actually jumbo) shrimp on top of a bed of various deep fried vegetables. Although the entire dish was deep-fried, it didn't feel heavy or greasy. And the batter chef Bo made mad it all sooooo flavorful! I ordered the granddaddy's grilled cheese. It was a very different take on grilled cheese, but also absolutely delightful!! I believe you can't go wrong with bacon and fig jam on sourdough bread. And for my side, I wanted something a little different so I ordered the sweet potato grits. Do yourself a favor and try them! They are rich and creamy and sweet but not too sweet... Perfect! As delicious as all that was, the showstopper was dessert. We had the lemon blueberry cake. There are not enough words to say how delicious this was! Dense, sweet, but also tar from the fresh lemon with fresh blueberries baked in with a perfect layer of cream cheese icing. I wanted to order another one just to take home. And if the food wasn't enough to keep us coming back. Our service was absolutely amazing. Rachel was our server and she was a rockstar!!! She knew the menu very well! She made amazing recommendations and was attentive and friendly and all-around wonderful! As an added bonus, we were seated in the perfect corner booth for date night. Jan. 2026 My wife…read moreand I hadn't been back to 44 & King in a few years. With so many good restaurants in the area, we usually try new places, but before heading home we decided it was time to stop in again for dinner. As usual, we try to go during happy hour when prices are a bit better, and we sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly she greeted us right away, handed us menus, and took our drink order. The menu had changed a bit since our last visit. My wife ordered a Coke, and I had an Old Fashioned. For food, my wife chose the Fried Crab Claws with fries, and I ordered the French Onion Soup along with the Pork Nachos from the happy hour menu. While we were waiting, the bartender asked where we were from. We told her Southern Maryland, and when I said Huntingtown, she immediately said, "That's where I'm from." That alone surprised us not many people even know where Huntingtown is. When we mentioned the road we live on, she said, "That's the road I turn on to my parents' house." This was the first time we've ever met a bartender or server over 400 miles from home who lived that close to us. Small world. Our food came out and my wife really enjoyed her crab claws -- I tried one and they were very good. My French onion soup had a nice, deep beef flavor and was very tasty, but after a few bites there was a heavy pepper bite that came through. It was still good, but I had to switch over and eat some of my nachos, which were also good, though different from how I remembered them. I think the BBQ sauce changed the flavor, and the lettuce (which I usually prefer without) was something I should have asked to leave off. I asked my wife to try the soup and mentioned the pepper and that it might be a little spicy. She agreed it was good but said it would be better if it wasn't so peppery. A little later, the chef came out and introduced himself, Bo. He asked how everything was going. I told him everything was good overall but mentioned the heavy pepper bite in the onion soup and asked if that was normal. He said it shouldn't be that strong and that it needed to be toned back. Bo then asked if we had ever tried Mama's Soup, the tomato vegetable soup on the menu. We hadn't, and he asked if we'd like to try it. Not long after, he brought us another bowl and said, "This is Mama's soup give it a try." It was a vegetable soup with hamburger and a tomato base, and it was so good. When he came back, he explained it was his own version of his mother's soup. We told him it would go perfectly with a gooey grilled cheese, and he laughed and said they actually have one on the menu. It was really nice of Chef Bo to come out, check on us, listened and know something wasn't quite right, and it's being taken care of. That kind of interaction truly makes dining out a better experience. It makes the place feel welcoming, like they genuinely want you there. Yes, we will return -- and we were told that Mama's soup is always on the menu.
