    Maharaja jahm

We went to Masala Bistro during our last minute trip. We waited a few minutes to be seated which was expected due to holiday weekend. The restaurant has beautiful decor and nice ambiance good for family dinner or date night. The person that seated us and took our order seemed extremely distracted. I ordered the Maharaja jahm which I was extremely excited for given it had my two favorite flavors. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed and only managed to drink few sips. We ordered cauliflower Manchurian, chana masala, malai kofta with some tandoori roti. The best part of this meal was the gravy in malai kofta(which tasted like they were frozen bit cold on the inside). Overall it wasn't the worst Indian food I have had. I would return to give it another chance when and if I were in the area again

The food from the restaurant was delicious! My butter chicken was extremely spicy. I ordered from DoorDash and my food came exactly as I order and it was still hot.

Really excellent Northern Indian food for Myrtle Beach, especially since they have a small Indian population in the area. All the tall Indian beers that you could desire, I had the Old Monk and Haywards 5000. We started with the garlic naan and the spicy Gobi Manchurian. The Gobi was especially nice since it was extra crunchy. Our server was really busy but he managed to stop by several times to see how we were doing and let me indulge in a few questions. I had a goat dish that I have not see on any other Indian restaurant menu's and is was delicious. I cannot highly recommend this spot enough if you are in the area and a fan of the cuisine.

We went there for lunch during our vacation at Myrtle beach. Its a very well kept place and ambience was good. We had few drinks and ordered malai chicken as starter. Drinks were ok and starter was not great. We felt it was nut tender enough. Main course had malai kofta, butter chicken and biryani. Malai kofta was best among 3. Naan was good though. We felt that it was little bit on bland side and could have been better if we could get taste of more spices in all dishes.

The food was very good. It was the typical restaurant Indian food if not the most authentic but still pretty good. A bit expensive though.

It's well decorated and it was quiet when we came but it is December so it's definitely not tourist season. Our bartender was a fantastic guy and made a mean drink and fun conversation. Although we came for a few drinks, we ended up getting some dinner as well. The food isn't anything fancy but is was surprisingly tasty. I had the Heat Burger and wow was it flavorful. My only problem was the bun. It was stale and fell apart while I was eating the burger. Still good though. We also had the Margarita Flatbread which was also flavorful. Loved the texture and the fresh ingredients. Definitely worth checking this place out even if you're not staying at the Hampton.

Chef Bo was not only personable (he came out to personally ask how I wanted my salmon cooked) but he was absolutely on point with the recommendation. Wings cooked to perfection. Burgers were also delicious. ...then as if that hadn't been enough for the 5 stars, here comes Chef Bo co-signing the dern hummingbird cheesecake. We took 3 slices to go. Nuff said. It consisted of 2 deep fried soft shell crabs, 3 deep fried jumbo (and yes, they were actually jumbo) shrimp on top of a bed of various deep fried vegetables. Although the entire dish was deep-fried, it didn't feel heavy or greasy. And the batter chef Bo made mad it all sooooo flavorful! I ordered the granddaddy's grilled cheese. It was a very different take on grilled cheese, but also absolutely delightful!! I believe you can't go wrong with bacon and fig jam on sourdough bread. And for my side, I wanted something a little different so I ordered the sweet potato grits. Do yourself a favor and try them! They are rich and creamy and sweet but not too sweet... Perfect! As delicious as all that was, the showstopper was dessert. We had the lemon blueberry cake. There are not enough words to say how delicious this was! Dense, sweet, but also tar from the fresh lemon with fresh blueberries baked in with a perfect layer of cream cheese icing. I wanted to order another one just to take home. And if the food wasn't enough to keep us coming back. Our service was absolutely amazing. Rachel was our server and she was a rockstar!!! She knew the menu very well! She made amazing recommendations and was attentive and friendly and all-around wonderful! As an added bonus, we were seated in the perfect corner booth for date night. And they had one of their regular live music performers there which added just the right touch. We can't wait to go back!
