Pakora sampler

The food quality at this establishment has gone downhill. Not sure if they had a chef change, but was very disappointed with the flavors of the butter chicken and the makhni paneer. No flavor at all and will not be back because of that. Service is still very good and friendly. It is beautiful inside with a great vibe! The food items that were good were the garlic naan, the vegetarian appetizer and the masala chai tea. The Indian beer was also good. My dad did say his lamb dish was good as well.

Definitely my new favorite Indian food spot in Williamsburg. The food was so flavorful and the service was just amazing. We ordered Crab Masala and Chicken Sarson Ka Saag (both level 2 spice). The meat for both was so soft and the crab masala was the best thing I've ever tasted. So smooth and creamy and the crab chunks were pretty big.

Marsala Craft is a true Williamsburg treasure. As someone who has dined here multiple times, I can confidently say the restaurant remains consistently excellent. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is friendly and attentive, and the food is simply outstanding. For those not familiar with Indian cuisine, the staff is great at explaining the menu and making recommendations. For those who love Indian food, you can rest assured they do things right here. Everything is fresh and can be made as spicy as you like. We've loved every dish, from the lassi and the chaat of the day to the main courses. As a starter, I highly recommend the Assorted Vegetable Sampler and the garlic is always a must-have, it's absolutely excellent. For the main course, you can't go wrong with the Tandoori Chicken Tikka and Cauliflower Mushroom Steak. Both are very delicious and made as spicy as you can handle. The portions are generous, so you'll definitely have leftovers to enjoy later. The combination of amazing food, an excellent wine list, and a wonderful atmosphere makes Marsala Craft the best Indian restaurant in Williamsburg. Their drink selection also complements the food perfectly; the Rupee IPA, in particular, goes exceptionally well with the spicier dishes.

We love India food. Greeted right away and it looked really busy . We were seated in 5 mintues. Tables were really close together and I am usually not a fan of that but the people at the adjoining table were so nice. Inside is really an upscale restaurant so it was a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable. Very attentive and friendly. We all loved it!! My only negative thing is that I wish with the appetizer I can order quantity. We ordered the punjabi samosa. Excellent by the way but there were 3 of us and we only got 2. Crisp and flavorful. Tikka Masala-great flavor, perfect amount of sauce to chicken ratio. Everything was steaming hot. My favorite. I got a 3 heat and it was perfect. Vindloo-great flavor, I had never had this before and I have to say I will be getting again and again. Got a 4 heat level and at first it is perfect but as you continue to eat it feels like it gets hotter. But still super yummy The Naan Bread was very fresh and I always get the garlic. It was so great I ordered more. I have to say I ate too much . It was wonderful. Chennai style Chicken Curry-excellent flavors. Got the 3 heat and that was perfect for us. Creamy and just the right amount of sauce and chicken and the rice was also seasoned. Basmati rice made perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The appetizers were delicious. I wasn't able to capture photos of the appetizers, but my favorite was the fried cauliflower dish. As for the meal, this is where the service went wrong for me. My meal said that it included rice. Everyone else at the table was served a gigantic bowl of rice and when I told the server I didn't receive my bowl of rice for the curry, he was rude and embarrassed me in front of my table and other guests and said I could share rice with others at my table. It's cold and flu season so I don't feel comfortable sharing food. Needless to say, when I was later offered rice by the server I denied it because at this point I'm annoyed and he had already made me feel embarrassed in front of the people I was with. I ended up eating my curry with no rice. It wasn't good enough curry for me to enjoy it without rice to be completely honest. There is no reason a restaurant like this should have individual meals that promise rice as a side and then serve rice "family-style". I put family style in quotations as normally this dining style would include one meal being selected for the whole table to pass around and share. As for the flavor of the curry, I wasn't impressed. Overall, my experience yesterday at Masala Craft wasn't great. I'm hoping this was just an off experience.

Loved every part of this restaurant. Family-owned and operated with authentic and creative dishes. Ordered the chicken and paneer tikka masalas which were delicious and fresh and plentiful in protein. Then ordered galab jamun and ghee bundt cake which were served warm and melted in your mouth. The ghee bundt cake was something we've never had and I would go back just for that in a heartbeat. A must try. The ambiance and table settings are immaculate as well. This restaurant should not be missed if craving Indian and in the area.

This place is always wonderful; it's our favorite Indian restaurant, called Masala Craft. We usually visit once a month, and each time we arrive, we're reminded of how great the space is. The atmosphere is inviting, the vibe is fantastic, and the people are friendly. Today, we enjoyed the seafood Kasundi and salmon with garlic naan, which is always fresh. Our usual appetizer is the house salad, featuring a delicious cinnamon vinaigrette. If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying this place! Will certainly return.

The butter chicken is absolutely amazing and that drink was just" what the doctor ordered". This restaurant was clean and beautiful.

Everything was delicious and the cocktails were so very good!!! I had the butter chicken and my daughter had the chicken Marsala . The drink was excellent and just what the doctor ordered! Beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning

Yay! They have Papadams offered as Papads so incredibly delicious! Thin and crispy served fresh and hot which I eat without any sauce though my hubby likes the mint one. I had jumbo crab Marsala and hubby had chicken vindaloo. I asked for 2 out of 5 vs. hubby's request for 7 out of 5 for spiciness. He said it was well spiced but not enough. Hey, I know.

Tandoori prawns

I ordered takeout. Got the palak kulcha and the shrimp tandoori. Both were fantastic! The portion size was VERY large, I had enough for 3 meals.

Absolutely incredible food, service, and ambience! Family owned and operated, you get to speak to THE chef during your meal. I come to this area every quarter for work and have experienced many Indian food options over the past couple of years, and this place takes the win on authenticity and taste! Whether you're in for your standard butter chicken or wanting to try their unique tandoori chicken, this place offers options that will make your mouth water. A must try from this place is the Mango Rupee beer--it's great if you're trying the spicy options to give that refreshing finish. Their naan is made fresh and comes out piping hot! If you're daring enough, I recommend trying out the bullet naan--baked with fresh Serrano peppers and other spicy fixings. The family who owns this amazing establishment all works in house, the bar, server, and chef. You can just feel the warmth of their hospitality from entrance to exit. For locals and visitors alike, please make sure you check this place out!

I loved this place! So much so that I wish I lived closer by so I could eat there more often. Warm…read moregreeting at the door, comfortable seating, eye-poppingly bright décor against a dark background (also known as a 'wall,' or wallpaper, ha ha!) so it really stands out even more. The service was great, the food was delicious, the experience exalting. End result: relaxed, refreshed, ready to move on having been greatly nourished .... It was also fun to try some new things I had never had or seen before! That's always an added bonus when it happens -- and here, it did! I'd never seen 'Masala Papad' before, so of course I had to get it! It did not disappoint! I'd imagined the papadam being as they usually are -- flat -- and then in this dish that it would have some toppings on it, looking like a flat taco or a small pizza, but oh was I gladly wrong! Wow! Only thing is, I might be ruining this for someone else by taking away the joyous surprise! However, I understand that most people don't like a surprise as much as I do, so I guess it's okay to give it away. Anyway, these were super-flavourful and fun. I got the 'three' spice level. That's a wonderful aspect of dining here -- you get to choose your spice level, dish by dish. For the hot and sour soup, I got a 'two' spice level -- however I found it to be spicier than the two of the Masala Papad, and I'm guessing that's because, well, it's soup and so there is more of it closer together, rather than the air between pieces of various foods in the Masala Papad, and also the thermal heat of the soup probably elevates the feeling of spiciness. Another dish I had never tried was the Chilly Tofu. It was absolutely, spectacularly delicious not only in taste but the wonderful texture. In fact, I was so amazed by how good the texture was that in describing my delight, the waiter wondered if I had ever tried tofu before. I'd had tofu many, many times in my life in a large number of settings and so many different variations -- such as soft, pan-fried, deep-fried, in soup, skewered on a stick, served with all kinds of things -- but this particular tofu was just extra super-duper scrumdiddlyumptious! The three appetizers I ate filled me up enough that I didn't need anything else -- well, except chai, that is! -- so I didn't order an entrée, and will have to leave that for next time .... Might I add, it is an oasis from the heat and anything else going on outside ... and the dishes and drinks served here will also give your body more heat-fighting ability because that is the nature of Indian food! It's healthy! Not just nutritious but literally body-building -- including giving your immune system just what it needs .... Definitely, absolutely, certainly most highly recommended!

During our visits here, we've hardly had any issues with meals we ordered. Shall we get into the details? Foot traffic was minimal when we arrived and were seated immediately. We were served water and their homemade chai tea. The vibe was welcoming with soft music playing in the background. After a few minutes, we were ready to order. I selected their chicken schezwan hakka noodle dish along with garlic naan bread to share with Sophia. The noodle dish was very good. I chose the mild spice and it was just right. There was so much served it took me three meals to finish the whole plate. Unfortunately, the garlic naan was underwhelming. When we received the order, it was hard to chew and the garlic taste wasn't strong. Usually, naan is soft when served, but not this time. Despite the naan disappointment, both of us walked away full. A dish like this I could order again the next time we stop by. Till next time :)

Our waiter grabbed us each a bottle of water, and we also received a complementary cup of mint tea. Very good! Food wise we ordered the onion paroka, samosa, garlic naan, and butter chicken. All the food was fresh and plentiful. I loved the onion paroka and the batter was nice and light. The garlic naan was some of the best I have had, and the butter chicken had a great flavor! Service was excellent and the restaurant is not overly large, but it has sone nice decor inside. Can't wait to go back for amazing Indian food!
