We went with the Classic Roll which features Maine lobster served chilled with mayo & lemon butter in a New England split-top roll. Woah. Got the Classic Lobster roll and also the crab roll today with my partner. Great customer service and relatively fast preparation time for our food. Taste was decent. Lobster and crab portions in the sandwiches were fairly generous and tasty/flavorful. Buttery bread and meat was a bit heavy but not unusual for this particular dish. Not sure if the total meal/experience is worth $51 after tax, but it wasn't the worst $51 I've spent on food before. Restaurant is clean and certainly upholds its EXCELLENT health rating. Customer service was a 10/10. Absolutely lovely people here, truly. The food was mediocre. I am perhaps spoiled by being a Seattle native with a huge seafood scene. I don't love salty foods and rarely add salt to foods, but we had to add some to these lobster rolls. Something was just....missing. Food: We ordered a classic lobster and a connecticut lobster rolls, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Man, it's been a while since I've been to a lobster roll store where they give you big pieces of lobsters in the roll!!! It was so fresh and I barely added any seasoning and sauce. The soup was on point and perfect pairing with the rolls. I really appreciate that they offer gluten free roll option. Pricing was so much more reasonable compared to other lobster roll places in Pike Place Market. Customer service: The staff were so friendly and informative about the menu. They helped me understand the differences of each roll that allowed me to select one that I would enjoy. Ambiance: The store is very clean with plenty of seats. I'll be honest, the slightly lower prices at Mason's drew my interest and I was sold at the signficantly lower line. Staff is friendly and the shop was clean/well maintained. The New England clam chowder was tasty, with more clam than potatoes which made the price worth it. However compared to Ivar's or Pike Place Chowder, Mason's chowder seems slightly smaller. The Connecticut Roll was indeed buttery but well grilled, and considerably packed with lobster. I was a bit surprised with how small it was (slightly smaller than a regular fork), but I suppose that's the trade off for the lower cost. The whoopie pie is a nice treat down nostaliga lane. I ordered the classic lobster roll along with a small cup of clam chowder. The chilled lobster meat was very fresh, while the buttery toasted roll offered a nice contrast to the texture of the lobster. The clam chowder was also solid, with a lot of freshness and flavor as well. Even though the prices are on the higher end, I do think the quality of this restaurant was great and I would definitely be open to coming again. I ordered the regular Connecticut style lobster roll and it was delicious! Perfectly buttery and toasted. We split some tater tots that were just okay.
