Had a massage last week by a guy and never felt so man handled in my life. I've had lots of massages in the past and have never felt so uncomfortable. A couple times I wanted to end the massage. I felt like the guy didn't respect my body I'm not afraid to get a massage without bra but I just felt like my privacy should have been respected more than it was. I didn't like how he massaged me it felt inappropriate. He rested his hand on my butt cheek while he used the other to massage. He also massaged both my butt cheeks and then inner thighs at same time it literally felt like he was spreading me apart. I wore full panties and he did not ask for permission he started pulling my panties down too low and up on the sides. I pulled them back and he pulled them back again. Another time he literally just pulled my legs open aggressively. I can't believe I paid for this service it was terrible. It was like he was beating my muscles to relax he was in super fast mode it was not relaxing at all. I felt violated and abused. I don't know if he understood what I was saying. I told him several times he was being too hard on me. He also popped my back which I've never had done during a massage and he wanted to pop my neck and I said no. He pushed my upper back into the bed so hard. When he wanted me to turn over he didn't say a word and pulled the whole drape off of me and exposed me to hisself and the lady giving my husband a massage. I was trying to cover my breast as best I could as I turned over. So inappropriate. He even scooted the whole bed while I was laying on it without saying a word. He walked out the room to get some burning hot rocks and he slammed the door into the bed. It was an hour massage I'm not sure why he seemed in a hurry it was just weird. I wish I could give less than a 1 star for this review. Will be reporting to the California state board of massage. I think this guy needs to take into consideration that he is massaging a women and ask for consent when massaging a women's butt and or inner thigh so close to the genitals. I just had my first massage here & it was life changing. Wendy was my masseuse. She was friendly & made me feel really comfortable by asking if I like soft or hard pressure before she started my back massage. I said "in between" & she did stay consistent. She asked me a few times if her pressure was too hard throughout the massage to make sure I was okay. What really won me over were the hot stones, scalp & face massage! I liked how Wendy took her time on my shoulders which have a lot of knots. I couldn't believe it when the hour was up! The only things I wasn't too fond of is when she asked if I wanted to extend my massage for 30 more minutes for a $20 foot massage in the middle of my session and how the sign on the front desk encourages a $10 minimum tip for a $40 hour session; however, I did pay the $10 anyway even when I was in the middle of asking for change since I just used a gift card. being massaged behind a curtain in the lobby isn't all that relaxing. You can hear people coming in and inquiring about prices/services. The person that gave me a massage talked on his cell phone twice while using his other hand to press on me in a very pokey manner. Then he took off for a good 5 min twice. I sat up wondering if he was coming back since he didn't say anything to me. He seemed really impatient and not into it. What topped it off is he got mad when I only tipped him 15%. Whatever! Do a better job and you'll make better $$$. My friend who I was with had a great massage so I'd be willing to go again, but I'll request someone else next time. I'm only giving 1 star because there were spurts of good massage, however the place is dirty, smelly and unprofessional. I did like the fact that walk ins are welcome, however i was charged for 90 mins when I only wanted 60 mins, it def could have been 90 mins I just had a lot of things on my mind so.... Ok first of all I felt very violated, my lady kept peeking at my breast, she touch my "lady part" probably 4 or 5 times, thank goodness I had underwear on. When I was on my stomach and she was massaging my butt she got all the way into my crack. When i was on my back she lifted my leg then opened it and practically massage my labials, SO GROSS! This massage should have been between significant others not professional/client. I forgot to mention some how she managed to put her crotch on the back of my head, I am so disgusting! I live off of telegraph canyon and I thought great a place that is near me that's awesome. I do Ariel pole, so my body is always tight and sore, so when I have late schedules, I could go in and it would be fine. Well The first time I went the guy I dealt with was sick, so the whole time I'm hearing him suck and chomp on a cough drop and sniffling and then the second time I went I went with a friend of mine and they kept, stopping the massage to offer more services to what we had already agreed upon. No if I wanted that I would have said it. Also there is that language barrier that can get a little tricky. It's not a bad place, but there is better out there and I will most likely only use it if I have a wonky schedule. read more

I took my 14 year old daughter there for a one hour massage. They told me I needed to give a $10 tip because they work hard. I agreed and was charged $52. When I asked why they said tax. I have never been charged tax on services. They are very aggressive on the tips and over charging. We did not feel comfortable, and will not go back. read more

Went in yesterday with my friend the lady was outside on the phone and made me feel like we were bothering her coming in for a massage she then rushed us to a room and closed the door. She didn't instruct us to remove our clothes and put the sheet on or anything so I thought that was weird. During the massage the 2 ladies kept talking to eachother and laughing.. while I'm over here trying to relax but can't. The massage was too rough I kept tensing up. I felt the lady spent too much time massaging my butt then anywhere else. At times she got too close to my private area. When she gave me my back massage she would go down my back and the sheet would go lower and lower and ended up under my butt during most of the massage. People kept coming in and out of our room and I was getting pretty annoyed cuz my butt was showing they didn't knock or anything. After the massage my friend went to tip and it was under the $10 the man then told her the limit for tipping was $10 minimum I thought that was ridiculous. Once I got home my back was hurting I was super sore it hurt to raise my arms. I couldn't sleep throughout the night I'm in pain. It's the next morning & im still in pain. This is a sad, sad story. My massage therapist, Soosang, aka Susan, is AWESOME. Seriously, she gives the best 35$ massage in all of San Diego, I've tried a ton of these places. I've also been to world class 5 star spa hotels. So I know a good massage therapist when I find one. Hence, I've been coming to this Massage Eden place since I found Susan, almost a year ago. And because it's affordable, I visit Susan at least once a month, usually twice a month, sometimes three times a month. And what begins as a one hour cheap massage usually gets stretched out -- it's kind of hard to say no to 'would you like another half hour' when you're a curdled noodle feeling bodiless and relieved for the first time in a while. HOWEVER, here is the big problem, makes me wanna cry. Out of the maybe 30 times I've been to this place, I've had to go home with no massage 4 times. Today is the fourth and I am getting FED UP. They have people answering the phones there who DON"T SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. Yeah, sure sure Susan's available no problem, you come. So I come at the time they tell me. And guess what. Susan isn't there. Or she's with a client. And SHE DOESN"T KNOW THAT I"M THERE WAITING FOR HER. For someone who has to negotiate a bathroom or food break, getting away for a massage is no joke, especially when the body can't go on and it's desperate. A whole hour or more with traffic, wasted, coming and going to this place, only to show up and have confusion at the front desk. Four times. 4/30. Can you afford those odds? When I need a massage, it's in lieu of physical therapy. If I don't get my treatment, I'm basically incapacitated. So, you can't rely on this place. At all. It's a crapshoot. I've been left in the lurch in extreme pain too many times and I think it's time to find a new place. Sorry, Susan. You should start your own business if you want to get ahead. I've gone there few times and I don't know why they always ask for more tips when paying time. I"ve always given $5 or 6 but they somewhat annoyingly ask for more, despite everyone is complaining about them doing these, they still do it. I don't think the owner of this place or these places care because again the reviews I've read people are complaining about them asking for more tips. Driving people away like me. This review is from an experience I had here more than a year ago, but because it was so bad, it's worthy of placing it anyway. I walked in and was asked if it was okay if I had a male masseuse (I am female). I usually have no problem with that. I entered the room and undressed and covered with a ridiculously thin sheet. I was super uncomfortable with this but the lights were low and I was going with the flow. The "masseuse" came in and began. During the massage, he used one hand while the other was either picking his nose or messing with his face, and then continued to massage me. At this point, I am so uncomfortable that I want to stop, but you figure it's almost over anyway, right? And then I turn over and he says to me, "next time you wear underwear." Therapists try several times to sell an upgraded session(60 minutes to 90 minutes) They DO NOT honor their own coupons for a discounted session despite having paid for the session and giving them the coupon in advance(3 months prior...no expiration date on coupon).What was once charged and paid for($90.00) was NOT accepted. They now charged $100.00 and wanted the difference. Lastly, they then showed a sign asking/expecting(almost demanding) a complimentary tip of 20% for the therapists' services...as if they were entitled to that percentage automatically.They have lost my business, I will not be returning, and will not talk positively about this service to potential seekers. read more

I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for them trying to force to me tip $10.00. I really wonder if people actually get forced into tipping what they almost demand for you to pay. First time coming here because it's near my house but I doubt I will go there again. The massage is actually awesome. Their website says 39.99 for a 60 minute massage. Their sign on their window says 39.99 for a 69 minute massage. I was actyally going to purchase a gift card for my sister but I would hate for them to treat her the way they treated me at the end. When it was time to pay the lady at the front counter said it was 39.99 and how much tip on the card, I told her $7.00 tip on the card and she said no it's $10.00 and I said no I want to tip 7 but you know what since she was great I'll leave $8 and then she said we ask for 10 and I said 8 please. She was aggressive and serious and I said to her again 8 is what I'm leaving for a tip. So then she said ok so there's a $2 charge to use a card and I said no worries I have cash and then she said AGAIN 10 dollars tip. LOL! and I said nope 8 dollars. Anyways just be ready for their little tactic. If they feel that their employees deserve to be paid more money then either raise the prices or pay them a higher salary. I needed a foot massage after a difficult 3 days of work walking miles on concrete. I wanted to find a place close to my home so I went to Massage Eden, at Telegraph canyon mall. Michelle gave me a good massage for the price of $25 an hour. She was strong but not overbearing. She rounded my sharp edges and I was able to move better after the massage. Do not come here unless you want to be ripped off. I asked for a 1 hour massage and the lady was not clear to me and up sold me a half hour more for 20.00 more bucks. I go to this place mostly for foot massage. But today, my husband and I came for body massage. At the reception, cashier told us that its $40/hr each and pointed to their pricelist. We agreed to do the massage at $40 for 60 minutes. We told cashier, we also prefer woman and to be in the same room. The massage went fine and in the middle of my massage my chinese lady masseur who speaks broken english asked me if want to massage more my feet or body. I said I prefer feet. ( Plain and simple question will cost you more) When it was time to pay, we were told that both masseur did 90 minutes for both of us instead of 60 minutes because she asked me about it. I said it was never mentioned that she will add 30 minutes time to our massage, how will I know? I am not even watching the time!!. I thought that was courtesy that she asked me what i like. I didnt realize she was up-saling me in the middle of massage. The cashier insisted that I confirmed it. I said there was no aggreement that I will add 30 minutes, I didnt even hear her say anything about adding 30 minutes! The other lady masseur didnt even asked anything to my husband, how is it that she also added on 30minutes to my husband when I was the only onr being asked? TOTAL BULLSHIT and RIPPED OFF. I was super disappointed in my entire experience here. I called and asked for Cece, who was amazing at deep tissue massages. I asked for her and the dude said she didn't work there anymore but that the other person (Linda?) was "way better". He convinced me to "give it a try!" So, I said sure, I'll give it a try. Basically all this chick did was run her forearms up and down my back awkwardly. It was horrible! Literally the worst massage I have ever had. And then when they charged me $40 (they raised the prices, this massage used to be $25), I offered a $6 tip (thinking that was a generous 15% considering it was a terrible massage) and the guy goes "Can you leave at least $8?" And I was like "excuse me?" And he was like "these girls work hard you know." And the girl who did my massage was standing right there so I didn't want to be super rude like "you know what, she actually did NOT work hard, she was pretty bad." So I just muttered "that's fine". First of all, let me let you in a clue. Regarding Chinese based massage in San Diego, After many years of these type shops opening up in the area, we as consumers have many choices. This place as an earlier poster mentioned is truly a hook that pulls you in yet the actual quality of massage is mediocre at best. Btw, A hygienic tip, some of these type of businesses rarely change the sheets on the massage table but maybe once a week or once every two weeks, so think of the number of people they massage and all those germs, bacteria etc, possibly bring your own sheet or see if they will change it. For more Bang for your dollar, you are better off going into the Convoy area where new business are ready to offer you true customer service, ie Chinese Therapists with better experience, customer service and maybe some price breaks without $2 service charges for merely using your own debit card. The very few times I had massages here, it is truly hit and miss, Therapist doesn't communicate well, they step out every 10 min, or the noises around are too loud etc. The only advantage is that if you live in Chula Vista, its conveniently close, but don't let that make you spend the money.
