But here is the reason for the 3 star: I purchased my massage through ClassPass. I opted for the First lady treatment which consisted of a deep tissue massage, salt scrub and free hot stones. When I first got there, I informed the receptionist that I had an appointment through ClassPass. Without asking, she grabbed my phone, took a picture of my screen then proceeded to call someone on her phone. I believe this may have been because of a language barrier. The gentleman on the phone confirmed I was there for the First Lady package and told me I'm all set. I then followed her to the room where she simply pointed to and walked away. That was fine. Lucy, then came in and created magic with her hands. The deep tissue massage was magnificent. The salt scrub was so glorious, I even got chills. Once she was done cleaning up the salt scrub, she said we were done. I politely reminded her that my appt came with the hot stones. She stepped outside, came back in and showed me her phone. It read: "colleague forgot to turn on the hot stones. Sorry" . Then, she said proceeded with offering me a hot towel instead. I declined the towel. As I was walking out, I was disappointed but I was still leaning toward the four star review because Lucy really did a good job despite missing the hot stones. However, when I approached the front desk, it was a different receptionist . A young lady with perfect English. She asked if I wanted to leave a tip. As I was getting my card ready to leave a well-deserved tip, I casually mentioned that my package came with the hot stones but that portion of the service was not provided. Her response was "I see..." She then charged my card for the tip and completely disregarded what I said. While my body feels relaxed, I left highly disappointed by how situation was handled. Mistakes happen, but acknowledging them and making an effort to address them, goes a long way.

The room was really hot and the masseuse had to stop a few times to wipe his sweat, which wasn't his fault since he was putting in the work for my requested firmness, but def need a fan or something in the room to keep the air flowing and to keep their therapists from overheating. Scalp massage was nice, 60 minute full body with hot stone with 30 minute foot. Def left super greasy that even after the hot towel I found myself wiping off a lot more with the sheets. Was a bit hesitant to try this place because of the other bad reviews and sad to say I also can't recommend this place. There's 3 Massage Edens in the area and this was the only one with a male masseuse that day. Since I live in the area, I thought I'd give them a shot and disappointed by the overall experience. May just have to go to my usual spots on Convoy, but would be nice to have a spot closer to home.

So they're in the same shopping center but now they're upstairs just above the Mission Federal Credit Union. The office is a little smaller and they no longer have the little tranquility waiting rooms, which is a bummer. I've used a few different therapists and all great. My new favorite is Elizabeth. She's newer to Massage Envy, but has a lot of experience in massage therapy. She's awesome. Really pays attention to target areas. Nice strong pressure. Wanapa and Rikki were amazing but both gone. Rocio who is there currently is very good but reliability is poor. Multiple appointments have been cancelled last minute so it seems like employee reliability and them not have back up therapists to cover callouts in definitely a negative. And though they like us to confirm our appointments 48 hours in advance they have cancelled on me 3 hours before an appointment. We are penalized for late cancellations so it only seems fair that they are as well, maybe a free add on or whatever each time our appt cancels. I'm sad that this location is going down the tubes but I see why they only have 2.8 stars whereas the Lemon Grove location has 4.5 stars. I will be taking my business and referrals elsewhere and trying the Lemon Grove location as I can't count on the Eastlake location for appointments.

I worried about getting injured, looking foolish because I didn't know what I was doing, and whether the effort would actually produce meaningful results. I started training with Christian in late April, and I have been genuinely surprised by the progress I've made. Physically, I've dropped a clothing size in both pants and tops, and my DEXA scans show that I've increased lean mass and bone density while losing weight in a calorie deficit, which is especially meaningful to me at this stage of life. Beyond the visible changes, I've also seen improvements in several health markers, which was one of my primary goals going into this process. For me, strength training wasn't about athletic performance--it was about improving my long-term health. One of the biggest reasons I've been successful is the coaching itself. I have low blood pressure and can become lightheaded during heavier lifts, and I also need careful attention to form and knee positioning to avoid injury while still being challenged appropriately. I don't think I would push myself safely or effectively on my own. Christian does an excellent job of finding that balance between encouragement, proper technique, and progressive overload. One of the strongest endorsements I can give is that he has developed a program tailored specifically to my goals, my health concerns, and my abilities. Over time, that has built a level of trust that allows me to focus on the work itself, knowing that each session is designed to move me safely and effectively forward. He is also genuinely passionate about what he does. Every session includes explanations about physiology, training, and conditioning, which I particularly appreciate because I came into this with almost no strength training knowledge. I had just experienced another flareup and was feeling desperate. They were able to get me in to see Dr. Shane quickly, and when I tell you that I felt like I was with a miracle worker. We went through several motions during the intro session, and he was able to diagnosis my issue (piriformis syndrome and tight hips). He performed cupping and massage, and he was able to loosen up my stubborn hips. He then had me perform some PT exercises, and I IMMEDIATELY felt relief. I honestly couldn't believe it. I thought the relief would go away after a few hours, but it stayed for a few days. I've worked him for about 6 sessions now, and I've felt drastic improvements. He tailors the training session to my problem areas, and he doesn't increase my load too quickly, to make sure I don't reinjure myself (which had been happening before). It's a bit pricy, but it's honestly been a lifesaver for me. Would recommend to anyone!

So, I wasn't going to leave this review- I was just never going to come back…read more So I was getting Gel X done with extensions, the girl who helped me trimmed my cuticle and caused me to bleed a lot. In her panic, she put super glue on my cut to stop the bleeding, then put a washcloth back on it to stem the bleeding but ended up supergluing the washcloth to my finger. She then ripped the washcloth off my finger (which HURT) and had to spend 5min tweezing off the bits of washcloth that were not glued to my finger. She also gaslit me and said my skin was so thick, so it was my fault. Not only that- but she often applied too much glue and had to keep redoing her applications. Even after that horrific experience- I was going to let it go. I even tipped her $30 because I'm too nice and hate conflict. But we're barely 3 days in having these nails and already my thumb nail popped off in front of my friggin boss. Beware of this place. There's a reason why some people never return.

I cannot say enough about Wannapa. I have been going to her for over a year, but had let some time lapse over the past few months. My left hip flexor is very tight and I have been trying mobility classes with flexibilty sticks, strength training, ART (Active Release Therapy) and physical therapy. All of the above have been somewhat effective and necessary, but I saw Wannapa today and the effect of her work on my body was unmatched to all those things. Her knowledge and expertise combined with her intention, love and care brought significant healing to my body. I've had massages for the last 40+ years and can say without hesitation that this was the best massage I've had in my life. When you get to my age everything hurts especially after a bout of COVID a few years ago. I have not felt better in ages since my 90-minute Deep Pressure massage. Despite multiple visits to both a chiropractor and an acupuncturist, nothing seemed to alleviate the pain or make it even slightly more bearable. It wasn't until I visited Debi that I found real relief. She immediately noticed how tight my hips were and pinpointed issues in my posture that I hadn't even mentioned. She could even tell how I slept just by observing my posture, and she was spot on. After our session, I felt completely relaxed and, for the first time in weeks, 100% pain-free. I can't recommend Debi highly enough. If you're dealing with pain that other treatments haven't resolved, she is truly a game-changer.

That's exactly what happened on my visit. But the team here is very kind and accommodating. The biggest draw is the price point. The team generally offers specials and you get a massage at a fraction of the price -- about $50 or so for an hour. It is very difficult to find such an affordable spot, and one that keeps decent hours. It is very accessible. But the space is lacking in ambiance (though it is tidy) and the massage was just OK. Nothing terribly wrong, but I did not experience the depth of relaxation to which I was accustomed. Also, I left feeling appreciative for the time, but the benefit of the massage (which will usually last me 2-3 days ) was not apparent, so I ended up going to my regular masseuse later in the week. Given these reasons, Southbay Massage simply can't compete, and pales pales in great comparison, with my favorite location: Cozy Thai.

It texted her off her Yelp page and within a few days she responded, I text her back and I was all set. I arrived at her shop where I was taken to a very nice quiet room and we discussed my condition and I left the rest up to Veronica. From the minute she touched me I felt her energy , her hands, warm almost radiating heat and soft. She literally went thru every muscle , tendon , knee , elbow , feet head stomach , neck chest and face. I've never experienced a true head to toe professional massage. She and I communicated in two languages without a problem and the 90 minute appointment went by so so fast. When complete we booked another appointment and I really look forward to having her as my personal massage therapist. The location was very easy to find and there is parking in the back. I scheduled myself a facial as they were booked months out for a massage on a Saturday, the only day I'm able to come in. When I was arrived , parking across the street was available and cheap. I believe I paid $1? I was offered water, tea or a mimosa while I waited on the patio which was lush with plants, my vibe for sure! My esti was Evelyn and she was very kind and knowledgeable. She did a quick consultation and then the facial began. I've had lots of facials from when I used to work in spas and this facial was in my top 3! The attention th detail for the extractions was great! My skin actually felt clean. Evelyn suggested a different facial from the one I originally booked and said it would be a better option for my skin. She's the expert so I agreed. We also added on the red light therapy. My skin had no problems with the facial, in fact, my skin felt so hydrated and it was so glowy afterwards! Evelyn's face massage technique was very relaxing, especially around the eye area. Unfortunately the facial had to end, but I already knew I would return. One thing I really appreciated was after the facial, there was no membership pitching or product pushing. It's annoying and really uncomfortable to be bombarded with a pitch after a relaxing service. They do have a membership which I am considering doing, but the only thing holding me back is lack of availability on Saturdays for massages. I also don't live close by which is why I need Saturday availability. But then again, the membership price is totally reasonable compared to other "envy" places. I'm sure I could make it work. Overall, I really enjoyed my facial at Balensi spa and I'd definitely recommend to all.

I had Ariah, and she is AMAZING. She has this way of instantly putting you at ease super calming presence. And if you're like me and just want to zone out, she respects that too no unnecessary talking unless you've got questions. That's elite service right there. The whole spa itself is a vibe. Clean, peaceful, and genuinely relaxing. You can tell they care about the experience from start to finish. I believe it's locally owned, which makes me want to support them even more.
