The response from a 26% tip
    Aaron B.

This was was the worst experience I've ever had with a massage. I gave the manager 2 weeks to try to reach out and try to change my mind about this place but he apparently refuses to return my calls. I really didn't want to write this review but I don't know what else to do. The massage was performed by a woman named Katherine. She is not a licensed massage therapist and it was obvious that she was not trained or experienced with giving a massage. It was not therapeutic or relaxing in any way. When she said the time was up and left the room, it had only been 50 minutes. Not 60 minutes which is what I paid for. I still tipped the lady 26%. ($15 on a $59 massage). She responded to my tip on Venmo with "(sad face emoji)". I then asked her, "25% is not enough?" She replied "No (crying emoji)" (I posted a screenshot of this with the review) My neck hurt really bad for the next two days. I could barely turn my head or tilt back to drink water. I went back the next day to let the manager know what had happened and how awful my experience was. The manager was not there so I left the screenshot and a message for the manager. I didn't get any reply from this business after 3 days so I called again and left another message for the manager. 3 days after that I still hadn't received any response. It has now been 2 weeks and I've called 5 times. I was told by the employee who answered the phone that he received my messages but he didn't want to talk to me because he already reprimanded Katherine and that is all he was going to do. Don't waste your money on a horrible massage and horrible customer service from this place.

Rude receptionist who said yes then laughed when I asked her if she was the one who hung up on me.

The Venice location has many good therapists. This location is following the reopening guidelines. Temperature check and face covering.

SUPER dissatisfied and disappointed. do NOT come here if your trying to relax or get a massage because you'll be receiving the complete opposite of both. to add i never review places or have ever left a bad review but with their Groupon's and seemingly fake reviews i don't want other people to get scammed. i wish i would've said more at the place and gotten my money back truly.... i wish i could leave 0 stars but it won't allow me to

Before our massage/nail service, we were seated outdoors in the patio area and served complimentary fruit, tea, and champagne. The vibe outside was so cute and relaxing. It felt breezy and nice. The masseuses came out to put heated neck wraps on our shoulders and soak our feet in water with rose petals and rub our feet. We had fun chatting with them. The people working here are so friendly and fun! Our services were great as well, which included facials, swedish and thai massages, and a manicure. Love that there is an attached nail salon. We came in a large group of 8 but they were able to fit us all in the same appointment time. We paired up in rooms for the massages. After our service, they served us delicious coconut water and more snacks/drinks. The owner even surprised me with a little ice cream, and sang a birthday song, and gave us a bunch of spoons for us to share. They brought out a sweet sixteen sign for fun even though I'm definately way older haha. All of us had a lot of fun and laughs. Thank you so much for giving us the best time and making me feel special :) It exceeded my expectations and is memory I'll take away with me. Highly recommend for a girls day here!

The amenities were cheap, the AC wasn't working, appointments ran late, and the operation felt held together by good intentions. Somehow a massage and facial became an almost four-hour adventure. The massage was fine. The facial was terrible. No one was rude--the place was just spectacularly unpolished. If you're looking for a basic neighborhood massage, you may be perfectly happy. If the website has you picturing a serene, elevated spa experience, lower that vision several floors. I went in for relaxation and left needing a glass of real wine and a legitimate spa day.

January 20, 2020…read more I have been consulting with Grace Bruno, Certified Massage Therapist for 5 years now. I sought out a specialist in lymphatic massage due to a long-standing unilateral edema stemming from a childhood injury. My left leg was re-injured in my 30's, necessitating a venogram evaluation that revealed damage to a venous valve in my left side. Regular weekly lymphatic massages were indicated, to prevent the development of chronic stasis with damage to the leg, and a risk of thrombophlebitis. As a doctor, I knew well that these things would need to be addressed. A previous course of lymphatic treatment needed to be re-instituted and I was fortunate to find Ms. Bruno. Grace is highly trained, and educated in massage techniques. She is skilled in Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral, Swedish, Shiatsu and Deep Tissue massage. The first two require highly sub-specialized training and can be difficult to find if you need that treatment. Grace is a practitioner who is technically skilled and intuitive. She has enormous kindness as well as integrity. She is a good choice for anyone who suffers from chronic back pain, any kind of arthritis, recovery from surgery and it's complications, and other conditions. All of these cause stress and are exacerbated by it. Her training and early practice involved an in-patient medical setting. Her experience with illness and recovery sets her apart from most massage therapists. Furthermore, as a person, she is indefatigable in her quest for knowledge and excited by pushing the boundaries of her competence, to understand as much as she can about each person she treats. I couldn't recommend Grace BRUNO more highly for all of these reasons, and have referred patients of mine to her with excellent results. M. Update to owner's response: Your explanation doesn't fix the issue, it just confirms your booking…read moresystem is disorganized. And judging by previous reviews, even customers who called ahead still didn't get the therapist they requested. At that point, the problem isn't "communication," it's management. Does it really cost that much to fix a broken booking system? Also, if Trung (who appeared old enough to be retired) is being assigned physically demanding reflexology sessions because it's cheaper or more convenient for the business, that's not a great look either. If this is an ongoing issue, it honestly makes booking here feel unreliable no matter how good your therapists are. ------------------------- Previous review: Why have an online booking system that lets clients choose a provider if the assigned therapist isn't actually guaranteed? I specifically booked a one-hour foot reflexology session with Jackson, but was assigned to Trung instead upon arrival. Trung was kind, but he appeared much older and didn't have the strength I was expecting for a reflexology session, so the experience wasn't what I booked for. I still tipped because I felt bad that he was working at his age. When I brought up the provider mismatch to the receptionist afterward, I was told that even if a specific name is assigned during online booking, the actual therapist is not guaranteed. That policy should really be made clear upfront before customers book.

I've been coming here for over 8 years, and the therapists are consistently excellent…read more Unfortunately, my most recent visit was frustrating due to scheduling issues and how they were handled. Work ran over, and I arrived 18 minutes late to my 6pm appointment. I fully take responsibility for being late. Initially, the front desk told me my session would be canceled and I'd be charged a no-show fee through ClassPass, but they later agreed to let me use the remaining time. When I got to the room, there was a bucket prepared for foot washing. I questioned it since I always book full-body massages, and they told me I had booked a body + reflexology session. Given the limited time left, I asked if we could skip that portion. Another 10 minutes was spent going back and forth with management, only to be told no--leaving me with less than 30 minutes remaining. At that point, the experience already felt stressful and rushed, so I chose to skip the massage altogether and keep my ClassPass appointment. After getting home, I double-checked my booking and confirmed that I had actually scheduled a 60-minute full-body massage, not a reflexology combo. If this was a combo, the service name was very misleading.
