I have been coming here for years. They typically do ok, however, today they completely screwed up. I made an appointment and they claimed it was for the next day. I needed this appointment as I had a half marathon the following day. No apology, the staff basically said I screwed up. Nope I know when I made the appointment. In the future, apologize. I was in a need of a cloud-9-me-time. Groupon comes to the rescue. $30 dollar massages are such a blessing! I then relied on Yelp to see great reviews. Making the appointment was smooth and easy and they called the night before to confirm. The therapist, which I will not enclose her name, shook my hand in greeting, sent me to the room, asked the basic questions as what my concern areas were and if I like it soft, firm, or hard. Why I said I won't enclose her name is, I found her to be sweet and willing to accommodate to my needs, BUT she poorly executed the massage. I asked for a deep tissue massage and it was like a Swedish massage, with no detail. She neglected my neck and shoulders, no kneading, wasn't using her finger tips very much; more of the elbow and quick strokes. The facial "massage" was the most bizarre thing, it seemed like she didn't know what to do based upon the little to no pressure used, and same with my feet. It was just awkward :/ My deal included 15 min. of the hydroluxe massage, similar to a water bed, fully clothed, alone in a room, 2 jets going along the body. The settings were easily accessible to target specifics like top half of the body or body half. I did see the price for this on their website and for what they charge, it is not worth it; hop into a hotel jacuzzi and have it done for free! Right upon leaving, the receptionist was sharing a deal they have on monthly memberships; $10 to start, then pay the monthly rate after 30 days. She said "I read you wanted 3 or 4 massages a month (consent form). Let me tell you about our deal". Um, no, I said 3 or 4 massages A YEAR. LOL. Just a small misunderstanding, right? Then when I nicely said I was not interested, she asks, "What's stopping you? Its a hard to beat deal". Not having the desire to spend that money on something I really don't want, that is what is stopping me, but thanks for asking. Just got a text they're throwing out the gift cards I have on file with them if I don't pick them up by September 30th. They were the ones who offered to hold them there when I bought them and I said yes since it was easier than carrying them around. I live out of state now and visit FL only once every 2 months and was in FL yesterday. I asked today if they could mail them to me. Nope. They refused. I am only giving a one because that is the least number I can give. Upon arrival being my first time I was treated very well and very kind. I was very happy with my facialist and signed a contract with hand and stone. I returned the next several months for services as I had signed a contract. They have many great products in the lobby as well if you would like to purchase after your service. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Unfortunately months later I had to cancel my contract as I did there in the lobby on their computer. I was charged a $10 fee which is reasonable. Their attitudes changed just like that!!! No more friendly, smiles, or thank you's. Three months later I was going through my bills because of the tax season coming up for 2022 and realized that Hand & Stone had been continuing my 69.95 monthly fee charge even after it was canceled. You could imagine my surprise. My advice to you is, make sure you get copies off their iPad while you are there. Otherwise you won't get anything and they will keep charging you. Hot stone massage was relaxing and took care my husbands sore neck muscles. Like the hot stones in our hands and on our feet. The pressure from the therapist was just right. We like it firm but not hard and they did it just right. This is a membership spa, at the end there was no pressure to sign up. I had been a member here for several years, but paid to put my membership on hold during covid. When I went back all was fine, but I didn't renew. I used what I had accrued. I had a gift card for a one hour massage which I used today. Ater the massage I was told that I owed for a 90 minute massage (it went longer than 60 minutes, but I was unaware until I was leaving). I told them that I had NOT scheduled a 90 minute session and that I had given them the gift card number when I booked. This was their mistake. Not mine. If they had apologized for their mistake I would have paid, gladly. Instead, they were extremely rude. On my way home I got an alert on my phone that my card (on file from my past membership) had been charged $60! When I called they said they had a recording of me requesting 90 minutes (a lie so now I'm really angry). When I challenged their right to charge me without my knowledge or consent, they agreed to refund the $60 but told me I could never come back!! They've made a lot of money from me over the years but if this is how the management is now, I don't care about going back. Now let's just see if they actually refund the money they tried to steal from me. They have some good massage therapists but the management sucks. read more

Mixed feelings about this place. I've gone a few times as I'm a member. I have had everything from great to just ok massages there. Really depends on who you get. If you have someone that gave you a great massage, remember them and ask for them only. I had Lazaro today and it was not good. I've had Swedish hot stone massages before but this was the worst. Nice guy but with his 25 years of experience I expected to walk out feeling relaxed and have my sore shoulder muscles soothed. I feel the same as when I walked in. The front desk staff was nice enough to hear me out, make a note on my file so I am not booked with him again and recommend someone else to me. I called to cancel my appointment three hours prior and then I was told I can't because they just changed their cancellation policy. I am so glad that I took my BFF advice and finally gave this place a try. Lily has been my massage therapist and I refuse to go to anyone else. She is absolutely amazing. She has helped my back and neck recover from stiffness. Her hands are truly blessed. She has such a warm calm spirit and asks the proper questions before the service to ensure she targets the right areas. For the price and your health and well-being I highly suggest trying them out monthly and see if makes a difference. I know everyone is different-but this is my personal experience. I booked a deep tissue massage and Izzy was my therapist. He was on time and so was I. First time you fill out some paperwork on IPAD due to Covid-I get this. Then I was placed in a small nice waiting room with a refrig and water. Izzy came in a minute or two and he was excellent. I got a deep tissue and he worked on my shoulders and neck for 35 minutes of the 50 minute massage. I asked a few questions about joints, muscles, and he answered them very well. I had such a great experience that 2 weeks later I booked and had another deep tissue massage. If I was not a snowbird-I would go again and again with Izzy. I highly recommend him-I gave a $20 tip and he was well worth it. Highly recommend this company and especially him. read more

I have been a member of this location since July. From that time the front staff have made multiple careless mistakes in billing and scheduling. I recently made an appointment over the phone (verbally confirming date and time), then when I showed the appointment was wrongfully booked for another day. When confronted about the issue there was a minimal apology from staff and management. Other times I called and booked for 90min only to be scheduled for 60min... There is consistently issues in this capacity (these are just a few examples). I canceled my membership and will go to a company that can manage simple office tasks. Would not recommend them, if you do go make sure at least 3x or more they did their job correctly.... I want to take this time to commend Massage Luxe SW Ranches front desk staff. From my previous review I have nothing but great things to say about them. That all still applies as I recently transferred to the Pembroke Pines location (for convenience), but now see how much better run & managed this location is. Not all franchises are run the same! They always call the day before to remind me of my appointment. If I book an appointment on the same day they will remind me about their two hour cancellation policy. They refer to me by name. They always greet & check me in quickly & promptly. Likewise with checking out. They are quick to sit me in the lounge & offer me a beverage or any kind of assistance like finding the restroom. They've since removed the gratuity boards per customer suggestion/complaint. They respond quickly to FB messages. Their automated message informs you that calls are being recorded. They inform you of current promotions. The HydroLuxe massage bed works (unlike Pines where my massage was cut short). Overall, just a better & more professional experience. My last review still stands on the value & overall satisfaction of their services. And better yet their deals have gotten better. Check out their FB or sign up for email notifications. I am just promoting my satisfaction here & trust me my husband has wanted me to cancel my membership for a while & after my fiasco at Pines he really wanted my money spent elsewhere, BUT I stand by my facials at this location! I will say this though. If you have unused credits (esp if it's a lot) and or want to cancel I've heard it may be kinda sales pitchy, but I honestly haven't gotten there. That's it. read more

I went for my first ever Swedish massage. I can't remember the name of the masseuse, but she was FANTASTIC. I arrived, was greeted by a receptionist, and sent into a room to complete paperwork on an iPad. Water and tea were available to drink. A few minutes later, the masseuse took me into a room where I undressed. The lights were dimmed and there was instrumental music playing. The massage targeted all of my sore areas on my back, arms and shoulders. Even my feet, legs and hands were included. I felt AMAZING :) When my massage was finished, I went into another room, where I experienced the HydroLuxe aqua massage bed. The perfect ending to my appointment. 3 reasons why I only rated 4 out of 5 stars... The HydroLuxe table is located right next to the entrance...I think it should be in the actual treatment area. The receptionist does a sales pitch for anyone who is not a member of their monthly program. She was disappointed when I told her I couldn't sign a membership contract. For that price I can go down to fountaine bleau during spa month and have A REAL spa experience with A PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIENCED therapist. I booked it the nights before. They canceled my appointment and wouldn't make any effort to accommodate me.. I asked them to refund me since they won't honor it and they won't. Because I was once had a membership years ago and they are trying to charge me more to have the massage. I'm over these BS massage chains with corporate offices of nonhumans that don't give a shit about anything but the $$$. . Going to a real spa to have proper service and massage. I don't get massages very often. I decided I would go because I've had knots and tension for weeks. When he asked me if I wanted Swedish or Deep Tissue I asked "whats the difference? " Hector stated that deep tissue is more for medical problems so I opted for the Swedish, but also informed him off the tension I had. What I received was comparable to any old rub down with lotion. I left, and am sitting now, with all the same knots and tension I walked in with. When the front desk host asked me about my experience I told him, and he stated Hector misinformed me and that Deep Tissue is actually for relieving knots. What he should've done is allowed me to be comped for a deep tissue, because now I need to turn around and just buy another massage. But instead he asks me to sign up with his monthly deal.....clearly not people who care or else I would've been reimbursed. Massages are NOT CHEAP. The place and room was perfect..welcoming, warm, dim lights, soothing music..very relaxing atmosphere. the beds and pillows were so comfortable I seriously wanted to take them home. Poor experience. WHAT A RIP OFF! DO NOT sign a contract. My husband and I both had massages. The massages were good at the time and we decided to sign up for monthly massages. However, the next day I was in so much pain that I could barely move. We decided to cancel the contract, yet they continued to bill us for 6 months!! This was about $100 per month for nothing. We made continuous phone calls to the manager and we were never issued a refund. We had to close our credit card in order to stop them from charging our card.
