I've been a member for a few months now and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The front desk staff are very welcoming, and the therapists are very talented. Some of the therapists specialize in corrective massage, which is what my body needs instead of light pressure/relaxation. I've noticed some of the bad reviews on here, and it's a shame because everything is in the contract when you sign up. That's why you read it before you sign. One of the boxes you initial in the billing agreement clearly states that you have to sign a cancelation form. Since you didn't sign, what did you think was gonna happen? I can't even believe these people are giving bad reviews for their own mistake. Maybe next time, read the contract before you discredit a good business for lack of common sense. read more

The service I requested after being a long time member was completely IGNORED. I called and specifically asked the management team to contact me in regards to a credit I had from before & previous membership. Only to find an error of a charge on my card. I wanted the management to explain this to me and I spoke with the front desk & kindly asked for a phone call to correct this issue, and it was unresolved. I came in after having a spinal fusion (doctor approved massage) and utilized the hydro-table to help loosen up some major tension I've been having. I had a 60 min with Jun, and he really helped! I've had some issues from the surgery, and my recovery is a lot slower than anticipated. Jun really loosened up my upper body, and my pain level went from a 6/10 to a 2/10, which is remarkable. Full disclosure, I am a massage therapist also, and this was my first time having Jun work on me. All the good things I've heard about him from other clients are 100% true. So my boyfriend wrote an inquiry for a massage for this place. A week later, we never heard anything back from them so we decided to drop by since we were in the area. We went in and asked if we could book a massage for 2 people. The girl behind the counter was super lazy, she didn't greet us or anything. There was a long moment of awkward stares since no one said anything. To break the silence, I said "Hi, we would like to make an appt." No expression at all from the girl! Not how I imagined customer service would be like. Later, as she was taking down our information, I asked her how much it was because we saw online that it was $48 for a 1 hour massage. She then said "no, its $58 for 1 hour massage" I then said well, I saw online that it was $48. Another girl behind the counter chimed in and said it was probably for another location, but it wasn't this location. I asked what other locations they have, and they said only the one in Irvine and one in northern California. So we must've saw the deal for somewhere else. As we were leaving, I saw another sign that said $48 for 1 hour massage for March Madness. So I was really confused at this point, I wasn't sure if the deal was for March only or if it was for a first time guest only. I went back online to check to see if I saw it wrong or something. But sure enough, I was NOT wrong. There was a coupon that says $48 for a 1 hour massage. Not sure why the girls pretended to not know about this or to act clueless. They also did not bring up that there was the $48 deal for March only when the sign was right there on their counter! I should've said something about it but I was so convinced that I saw it wrong. Do not get a gift card from this place! It has been twice now that I have gotten a Mother's Day and Father's Day gift card and both times they were quick to take the money, but couldn't find it in their system when it came to use the gift card. It was such a headache. Then after 30 minutes of back and forth, they magically find it. Literally the most confusing and stressful process, and for it to happen twice for two different specials is unprofessional. My husband and I had memberships. We went half a dozen times. Almost every massage was awful. The 1 or 2 decent therapists are never available. They hire people straight out of school with zero experience. My last massage there I woke up the next morning and most of my back and arms felt bruised. I kept having to tell the therapist to ease up and I have a high pain threshold. The owner there is rude and abrasive and has no idea how to run a business. Her front desk staff is poorly trained. Best place I've ever been for a massage! Bonus: It's affordable too. It's located near Target in the Crossroads Shopping Center. Plenty of free parking. The interior is well designed, clean, and inviting. The front desk staff are very friendly. It is apparent that this establishment takes pride in providing the best customer service possible (ie - you are welcomed with a warm smile, complimentary tea and water are offered to guests, an ipad questionnaire instead of reams of paperwork...). The massage rooms are clean, relaxing and quiet (no noise from neighboring rooms!) and have heated tables. Of course whether the therapist does a good job or not will ultimately determine how much you like a massage place. The massage therapists who work here are the best of the best. I spoke with the owner who set the bar very high for the therapists that work here. I don't think you will be disappointed with anyone you make an appointment with. Still, everyone has their technique preferences but there are plenty of therapists here to try, all of whom are very professional and talented. The massage therapist I most recently had was Trixi and I can confidently and highly recommend her. I secretly want to kidnap her and hide her in my hallway closet so she can give me massages on demand. Which would be really creepy if I didn't mean it as a compliment on how much I appreciate her skill (somehow that is going to come back to haunt me if I ever run for public office). They have a discount for your first massage. You can then sign up and have your credit card automatically billed for monthly massages that are very affordable. There is no contract so you can stop at any time. Don't ever come here. I stopped my membership in September. Yet they still charge me a monthly $80 fee. Im on the phone with my bank services every month because they can't take me off their list despite the fact that i filled out every form. My bank has blocked their account from charging me, yet they change their numbers and continue charging me each month. I called several times to fix the solution and yet they say there's nothing they can do because the subscription was cancelled? If it was cancelled WHY ARE YOU GUYS STILL CHARGING ME ? Super disappointed- booked a much needed 1 hour massage on a Friday late night, drove 18 minutes after getting my kids squared away with a movie, and when I got there was told my appointment was not in the system. My profile however WAS (the receptionist I had booked with the day prior I guess created a profile but then messed up with the actual appointment). The front desk offered to rebook but none of the times they gave me worked and so they were just like, "ok, happy holidays, bye!" No "let's make this right," or "here is a discount for your next session, please come back." Nope, just tough luck, our system messed up, see ya. Visited here a little bit ago, came highly recommended! Was quickly let down when I received some of the worst customer service I have in a long time. The blonde woman at the front desk, I believe her name was Sarah, acted as if answering all my questions and talking to me was just too much trouble and was very short with me, extremely rude, and condescending. i ended up after waiting just getting up and leaving bc no business should be treating potential customers this way. It was ok at best. Clean room and waiting room. The hallway carpets were really dirty with high foot traffic wear. No showers. My 90 minute massage was actually only 75 minutes. When I mentioned it at the front desk they said it was because that other time in the "90 minute massage" was used for changing and consultation. For these reasons I would give a 2. I received a gift certificate for Christmas to Massagelux and set up an appointment with Bryan L. who was one of the newer masseuses. I seriously wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, but I was happily surprised and immediately signed up for the 2 massages a month membership after my first visit. Bryan L. is skilled! He takes his time, listens to your needs, and just knows how to deliver a highly technical deep tissue massage. I've been to many different masseuses over the years (at different locations) and most of the time my muscle tension increases, but Bryan L. knows exactly how to warm up the area and he magically makes my muscle spasms submit at each visit. I'm apprehensive to advertise how good he is for worry that I won't be able to get an appointment with him, but I need to give credit where credit is due. Everyone at the reception desk at Massagelux is professional and kind, whether it's in person or over the phone. I only have positive things to say about this place and Bryan L. I can't brag enough about how amazing this place is! My husband and I have been coming here like 7 months now and I'm so happy with their services. I am about to give birth this week and have been getting my prenatal massages here! I love a good massage! I travel a lot and love to do spa days, but I'm super picky. I honestly can say Rebecca is hands down the best! You have to ask for her! She has the perfect touch, from her pressure, to her consistency, she seriously is so good, at what she does! I love how she makes sure I'm comfortable, especially being pregnant . Not only is she a great masseuse but she's super sweet too! My husband and I like to do our massages together so we always ask for a couples massage. He gets his massage from Lacy and is always so pleased with her as well. Wherein I was told I have til the next week on the 25th. . As I wanted to used my last one but was unable to and they still charged. Because they didn't notate the call last week of me stating I wanted to make sure it wouldn't charge again and cancel. The manager also has it notated that I only wanted one month, thus the second charge is unauthorized. That the refuse to refund. With the previous owner, and now the new owner, I've truly never seen such an unorganized business and front desk staff. You will never find a consistent answer with this business, causing you to lose tons of money like myself. I have experienced numerous encounters where I received different factual answers to the same question from different staff, working with this establishment is one of the biggest headaches from staff to owner, who is also quite emotionally charged. In some way or another, you will be charged for something that you probably weren't initially expecting, and at that point it's too late. I love getting massages to treat myself every once in a while and since moving to Irvine, I've gotten massages at different places and Massage Luxe was the best one! The ladies at reception are super chill and friendly and the masseuses are very good at what they do and you can tell they're experienced. I've gotten two massages here so far (one with Carter and the other with Edward) and going back for a third very soon. They have a water bed massager that you can come in and use anytime if you're a member and they also offer facials which I've yet to do. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you're looking for a regular massage place in Irvine! read more

I hate writing review updates, but I felt like this was very necessary =/ I used to be a member but I have now long cancelled my membership for multiple reasons. My primary reason for signing up was because of Angie!! She was AMAZING :D and I think I got emotionally attached to her!! After she left for better opportunities, T.J. asked me to give the new estheticians a chance. Whitney and Danielle were both sweet girls and they were wonder at their job, but it wasn't the same. I REALLY didn't like their product, the Repechage line. There was even facial events trying to push this line and an ambassador from that company came to do awkward mini-facials in the store front for free quicky sessions. I just wasn't feeling it. It was overpriced and it really doesn't have outstanding affects on my face or anything... I would often try to tell, I'm a pretty compulsive shopper and I usually buy stuff without thinking too much... so if I come so often and not buy anything... I'm no too surprised not that many people want to either =/ I think what really pushed me the edge to completely give up on these facials is when their steamer was never working. Why am I paying so much if I'm not getting the FULL quality of what I expect. Without the steamer my pores aren't opening as much and it is really a piece of equipment that distinguishes between a professional facial and a possibly home-done facial. I had some remaining sessions so I figure I should just use it all up before I cancelled my account. The massages here are such a HIT OR MISS!! I usually leave so freaken happy or so freaken annoyed. Like the masseuse either gets all the knots out or awkwardly rubs lotion on me =/ All the people I actually like somehow doesnt work here anymore when I ask for them. So if I wanted such a "hit or miss" experience I can go to those $15 foot massage places in Westminster. Also also the hydroluxe is also broken. The surface is all stretched out from usage. I think it was only amusing somewhere between the first week or the first month... but realistically no one has time to drive there for JUST 15 MIN, and sometimes longer when there are people in line for it. On the day I came in to cancel my membership, the girl in front (one of the newer workers) made me sit and wait for the longest time until she helped me. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS SIGN SOMETHING REAL FAST!! And on the paper I signed, it shows that they have a freeze option THAT SHE NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME... how annoying... if she was more polite about it, I may have rejoined at another time due to the proximity of this location to my workplace. But I doubt it at this point... IT GETS WORSE!! So when I used to like them, I would refer them to EVERYONE... including my coworkers!!!!!!!!! I even got some 1-hr massage GC as gifts for my coworkers because I used to like it so much!! My worker came her with her mom and purchased the membership for her mom. On their subsequent visit, the girl her mom liked was no longer with the company and her mom came out looking really sad =/ They had no notice that the masseuse would change. They apologized and said they would credit her account... but all in all, my coworker's mom was too disappointed to come back. This meant that any of the hours she had previously accumulated would be loss... so somehow they talked my coworker to sign up for their membership to take over her mom's remaining sessions... and my coworker isn't so happy with that either.
