My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and as soon as we walked in and saw the cute robots zipping around we knew this was about to be an unforgettable experience! We were sat down right away and provided a paper menu to choose between the BBQ and hot pot options. We started with the scallion pancakes and sesame balls; which are part of the all-you-can-eat so feel free to order as many as you'd like, but save room for your main course because the portions are huge once cooked! Both appetizers were served hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Since it was just us two, we decided to try the hot pot deal for $29.99 per person. The hot pot menu is divided up into 4 options: soup base, meat, seafood, and vegetables. For the soup base we chose the 'original' (beef & chicken) and 'spicy' (beef, chicken, spices). For the meat we chose egg (chicken), dumpling, and chicken. We skipped the seafood and finally for the vegetables we chose broccoli, instant noodles, glass noodles, sweet potato, and shanghai bok choy. The service is super fast which was great because I was starving. Everything we ordered was BEYOND tasty. The spicy broth was very spicy & packed with flavor so I was absolutely delighted that it lived up to its title. The dumplings were stuffed full and the meat inside was seasoned perfectly. Being able to cook everything at the table was so much fun, even though I made a mess. Ambiance is pretty typical for a modern Chinese restaurant. Clean, nice dinette seating, white dishes. Hot pot is a Chinese communal meal with family or friends. While each person at your table gets to chose their own soup base (I like the pork bone broth) and condiments/sauces, the food selections are meant to be shared. Have fun picking your favorites and trying new foods. Choose the BBQ or hot pot option, or both. Since it's all you can eat, we tend to overindulge with the variety offered and take both. The meats (lamb, chicken, pork, beef slices), seafood and vegetables are great and you cook your own on the grill or hot pot. Food cooks fast. Don't overcook, and if you do, complain to the chef (you). We liked everything except next time would pass on the deep fried selections. The robot server only serves. Absolutely loved this place. It's not just "dining out", but a fun experience. We came with friends and I'd highly recommend doing so. It's more fun with a group as you get to see all the varieties of foods, etc. It's all you can eat -- either hot pot or bbq or both. Three of us did hot pot and I did the bbq. Appetizers are available for both. The hot pot you need to first choose the broth -- there are 5 or 6 options. One did chicken and the other two did Tom yum. But no matter which you choose, you can season it your way from the sauce/spice bar. If you like more heat, you can add it. On the menu, you mark off the appetizers and meats, seafood, noodles, and veggies, etc. you wish. The meats for the bbq are marinated, but not for the hot pot. Each hot pot burned is in front of you. The "grill" is located in the middle of the table. The only thing that was a bit confusing is that they brought all the meats et al for the hot pot together for each person -- so that if three people wanted chicken it was all on one plate. But it also made for some mixing and matching. Which was fun. I especially liked the potsticker appetizers. And of all the bbq meats, I especially liked the lamb the best. Of the grilled veggies, the asparagus was quite good. There was a ton of food! And we took our time as we cooked and ate and talked and ate and ate. If you wanted more of a particular item, you just asked for it. The only thing not included were drinks. The dinners are reasonably priced. You get a lot of everything for that set fee. And most everything was of very good quality -- although each of us had our favorites. I would definitely come back here again. CAUTION!!!! Do not get the spicy broth unless you are the devil himself. That thing was HOT! I mean I could totally be an amateur, but I was choking. Def not for the faint of heart. I came in the afternoon and the restaurant was empty. I got both the bbq and the hot pot. I was feeling adventurous so I tried the spicy broth and that did not turn out well. They had to come and mix in regular broth for me. They did bring a lot of food to the table so when you order start out slow so you don't get charged for leftovers. They had a sauce bar which had chopped cilantro, jalepenos, and garlic. This was really nice, but I wonder if I would have liked it if a bunch of people were hovering over it. I enjoyed the short rib, shrimp, and instant noodle the most. The robot was super cute and delivered us dumplings. There is a bit of a learning curve on the grill. Very solid hotpot option. , Located, conveniently near Sawgrass in an easy to get to plaza, but doesn't have too much traffic or really long waits which is great. We came here towards the end of the night and we're set instantly. It works as an all you can eat, but with the looming threat of paying per pound for any food ordered and wasted. We ordered almost everything, and it was a Really Hardy and delicious meal, and they were very attentive with filling up the broth in the hot pot. The food comes out on a little robot delivery cart, that sings a tune throughout the restaurant and he's very cute. The restaurant actually closed an hour earlier than it said online, so when we thought we had a lot more time to hang out, they were kind of pushing us to close out, but that's fine. Your initial order is typically large as you're ordering on the fixings so the person server will assist but then they only come back when you need water. First I would like to say that I am sure sometime in the future I will be changing this review, but today we are a solid 3. Three stars aren't bad..but there is definitely room for improvement. Let's start with the pros: Super friendly staff. The restaurant was very clean. Meats and veggies were super fresh (my husband is a meat eater, me nope) Nice variety of hot pot soups. 2 vegan ones. Nice variety of sauces Experience is nice. Loved the corn on the cob & asparagus for the grill The appetizers at the beginning were nice and my husband liked them. Most were meat based so I didn't try them. The grill is vertical and personally I thought it would have worked better horizontally. The unused hot pot burners were usable as table space, but I was nervous about knocking them over. Not sure how I feel about going with children. There isn't a lot for vegans/plant based eaters for the BBQ, so I ended up just cooking my husband's food while I waited for the corn & asparagus to cook on a small corner of the grill. We filled out a menu and somehow much was overlooked and many of the veggies that I ordered & meats my husband ordered never came. The amount of meats that came to the table was huge. I did tell our server at the beginning that I didn't eat meat, however for both the bbq and hot pot the quantity of meat was meant for more than 1 person. This wasn't a con, just a lot of food for 1 meat eater at the table. Once the food comes it's hard to get the attention of someone to refill drinks or to ask questions. There is no dessert or offer of dessert which was odd, but we were full so it wasn't a dealbreaker. All in all, they are new. They have some kinks to work out, but the food was very food. They have a nice selection of veggies and meats/seafood to choose from. Covid protocols - all staff was masked. They have large 8 person tables that are split over 2 aisles. This is five stars for being the best hot pot in Florida. First let's talk ingenuity. Hot pot and BBQ with the ingredients delivered by robot. Second (and most important) the food! Hot pot demands the freshest ingredients and delicious soup base. Master Ba nailed it! The appetizers were a surprise. All very hot and tasty (and again super fun served by a robot). In hot pot settings you have a sauce bar to create the flavors you like... trust me when I say this. Ask the owner to make special spicy sauce. So amazing. I had three servings and yes, she made it each time. That's a testament to the service. Everyone is attentive. I will be back. Weekly. I can't wait to try the BBQ. Decided to try this new hot pot place. Very unique and clean restaurant. Very creative with the robots serving you the food. We came on a Sunday night around 6pm. Was not to busy about 1-2 tables besides us. You have to pay for parking, but they said after 7pm it is free. The ordering can be done with the servers by paper (similar to dim sum) or online when you scan the code. However most items on the paper is not online. The flavors were really not there. I got the original broth, and my sister/mom got the spicy broth. For me the original was very plain, I thought it would be some type of bone broth like other hot plot places but it wasn't. The sauce bar was very mediocre, very basic sauces, there wasn't any sauces that I could use to use with my food that would have helped enhanced the flavors. Portions were quite small, and you are not allowed to order more (from online system) until everything was delivered from the robot. Table space was very small, they sat us at a small table for 3 people and there was barely any space to put our food. They sat us on the other side of the middle section. It would be a 10 min wait period for more meats or appetizers to come by that time the soup has already evaporated. Also the ventilation is not the best, all of the steam from the other tables eating bbq or hot pot would flow in one direction and ended up in our area. The staff was very friendly however was not very attentive, like I said the robots are the one delivering you food but there was only 2 robots and if you wanted more food you would have to wait until the robot comes to you. The server came to us maybe 2-3 times just to show us how to use the robot and drinks. They were also more attentive to the middle sections. The price is a little to much for very little you are getting. Hot pot is maybe not worth it with the limited menu options, it's around $29 a person but from bbq the meats look very good (both options is $35) There also isn't a desert option, which most places have which is a bummer for the price we paid. I would love to try again, however they would need to work out some of the glitches or add some more items. read more

Half of what we ordered never made it to the table, but it was in there computer and printed on the bill. They were all good especially the shrimp and the vegetable spring rolls. The Bbq, I really enjoyed what I ordered, the only problem was they didn't listen when my wife said she eats vegan (plant based), they brought out enough meats for two people and barely any of the vegetables she ordered. The hot pot overall was good, the broths were nothing special, but they do get better as you add stuff and cook in them. Here again half of what we ordered didn't show up at the table. Again we had the same problem. They brought out enough meats for two people and not the wright vegetables. They brought out a bowl of watercress for five people, we didn't order watercress and iit even showed up on the final bill. The one thing that I really liked was how the shrimp came out. Already peeled and deveind. Most places there whole: heads, shells and veins. The other thing I really thought was great is the appetizers they sent out on the robot. Although most of them were meat, they were all very good, the shrimp was my favorite, but the vegetable pancakes and the vegetable spring rolls were really good. I've had Korean bbq in several cities but this is by far the one I'll be thinking about the most after we leave Ft. Lauderdale. I would highly recommend the combo hot pot and bbq combination, especially the cumin spiced lamb and marinated pork belly. The marinated chicken was also better than I've had elsewhere, and I'd like to try beef next time. It was a really fun experience to have both hotpot and bbq! Our table loved it and we just wished the physical table was bigger for our party of 5 since there were only 4 hotpot stations available. It got difficult finding placement for all the dishes we ordered. They had a lot of appetizer options like scallion pancakes, dumplings, popcorn chicken and more. I personally only ate 1 piece of popcorn chicken because I was saving myself for the red meats. But my party LOVED eating the apps especially the scallion pancakes. The hotpot options were standard with the meats, veg, and noodles. I am obsessed with getting beef, fish fillet and got to get my veggies (napa cabbage, spinach). Loved the glass noodles, so chewy! The bbq options were yum! It took a bit longer to cook because our entire grill was covered with meat. But they were so delicious especially with the mushrooms just cooking in the meat marinade. Ice cream options were lacking. They just had the regular individual cups of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. This was an interesting experience. I have been to one other Korean bbq restaurants in my life, so I do not have much to compare to - but this was about half as good as my previous experience. The waitress offered little help in getting us our meats going on the grill until we asked 3 times for her to help show us the way. We got the spring rolls, popcorn chicken, and the dumplings to start. They were all below average. We ordered chicken, steak, and ribs. We eventfully laid them on the grill and got them cooking. They do have a sauce bar, which was really neat, but it was messy and not kept well. The house sauce (have no idea what it was) was delicious. The peanut sauce had no taste. The meats: the steak and chicken were really good. We didn't eat the ribs because they were so fatty and slimy. Our waitress asked if we wanted rice (of course we did) about half way through the meal. They have these robots servers that help bring out the meats and vegetables. At Master Ba's (AYCE Hot Pot $29.99) diners have their own individual soup base pot. The table selects their meat, seafood and vegetables. Being the proactive person I am, I decided to make a run for the spice bar. BAD TIMING! Master Ba's has live entertainment. When I arrived back at the table, I was greeted by our server on wheels. Yes Huns, a robotic serving tray (LOL)! UNFORTUNATELY, for some unknown reason (that I'm troubleshooting and can hopefully resolve) I cannot save the video I received for uploading. When I asked if we could switch to a different broth because the spice level was intolerable, we were told we weren't allowed to switch after 10 minutes. Weird rule... but they did add some additional non-spicy broth that helped make it a bit less spicy. One person in my group decided to do BBQ instead of hot pot and it didn't come with rice so it was just meat. Most places like this usually serve rice on the side. Since it was our first time, we didn't know what to do or what to expect and the server didn't really explain anything. WoW what an amazing place. Not only do they do hot pot, but they also have korean BBQ. However, this place would not be ideal for a big party. The booths can sit 4 comfortably with the grill in the middle and four stoves. Because it is buffet, when you start ordering, everything comes out at once (which is awesome) but it just generally not enough space for everything. Did I mention that a robot delivers your food? It's pretty awesome. I'm pretty sure this is new to us Americans, and a daily thing in actual Asian countries. Let's start with the hot pot. We tried the Spicy Beef and the Pork Bone broths. I really enjoyed the spiciness of the beef broth. It was actually really spicy, I'd label it a "Medium." On the other hand, the richness from the Pork Bone broth was awesome. If you add some chili oil and peppers to it, I think it'll be perfect. I would definitely get both broths again! We are really simple when it comes to what we order for hot pot: bok choy, corn, beef, broccoli, and more beef. We were so full we didn't get to try and seafood in our soups but I'm sure it would've been just as great. I was a little overwhelmed having to cook bbq and hot pot because at one point I over cooked my dumplings because I forgot about them. For the kbbq, the grill was super clean which really impressed me. They used what looked like a copper lining over the grill; which was nice and neat. To start, drizzle some oil over the lining and the bbq comes with onions, garlic, and green onions to start. Then you add your meats. We got beef and pork belly which were flavorful! All in all it was a very pleasant experience. I enjoyed having the option of hot pot, kbbq, or both! For both it costs $35 per person, but all you can eat. We loved the robots. They have many expressions, and it was cool to see (check the ceiling, my best friend and I were discussing how they work and we took a guess in the dark). However, 2 new things here really blew me away, the rice cakes and the taro. Everything in the hot pot was very delicious. The Korean barbecue was good and we'll worth it to add onto the hot pot. Something I wish I'd seen more in the other endless places I've been is having the appetizers included. This was a very pleasant surprise and all of the appetizers we had were amazing. Recently moved back from Colorado and had this amazing place that we would go to for KBBQ which that's where our obsession started and this place felt like we were brought back to our happy place! Having hot plus, amazing as well! We did the bundle with hot pot and kbbq and felt so full after. The marinade on the meat was done perfectly. The sides you get as well were also delicious! The hot pot was good as well since you order everything for it and cook it how you'd like. There's a sauce bar towards the front that you can really get creative and mix a lot of flavors to get your perfect sauce. I wish I took pictures of the delicious food. My hubby and I frequent this location many times! There is always plenty of food choices and their menu keeps growing! Last time we were there they now offered beer and sake! We usually opt for the hot pot and bbq and always leave stuffed! First of all, let me say I was very excited to try Master Ba's - for the food and the cute little robot!! It's become somewhat of a hobby of mine to try different local hotpot places, as it's one of my favorite foods! Sadly, Master Ba's didn't meet my expectations, especially as compared to other local hotpot restaurants. The service was markedly lacking, and the food was limited and okay quality. At every hotpot place I've ever visited, the waiter or waitress promptly visits the table after your party is seated and always asks if they've had hotpot before and explains how the process works - walking you through it step by step. At Master Ba's, one would think the robot is the only employee there with the service we received, especially because the process is more convoluted than any other hotpot restaurant I've visited. My friend and I came in on a Saturday. We were seated hurriedly with NO explanation of how anything works with the robot, food options, ordering, etc. We waited for 10+ minutes before finally waving someone down to ask for water. We waited another 10+ minutes before having to stop another waitress AGAIN to ask for water (since the original waiter never brought it) and to ask...how exactly do we order? The waitress explained in a rush and seemed slightly annoyed at our asking. The robot is cute but a novelty; all it does is bring the food to your table after you place the order with a waiter/waitress. After we ordered, we did not receive all of the items that we had requested. Throughout the rest of our experience, we had to stop waiters/waitresses several times to ask for refills on water and other items. I will say that the broth I ordered (spicy) was good, and the food we ordered was decent hotpot quality. Yet, I found the food options to be limited compared to other hot pot restaurants. Lastly, I found it odd that there are no dessert options, as every hot pot I've visited offers fruit, little desserts, and ice cream. Very lackluster experience, and more expensive as well than other local hotpot spots ($35 vs $28 at my regular spot) with fewer options and poor service. I won't be back. I'd recommend checking out Lemongrass Hotpot in Boca Raton or K&L Hotpot in Boynton Beach if you want a way better hotpot experience! OVERALL: Putting my two favorite things together- KBBQ & Hot Pot. How could I not love it? Can Master Ba's please get a location in Minnesota so I can take it back home with me? SERVICE: Fast, friendly, and helpful. Just as it should be! Especially for an AYCE place as well. Felt like I was able to order when I wanted to almost immediately. +1 for the extra assistance they have with the robots! So cute and unique. I loved having a robot bring me all of my food items. FOOD: We got a lot. Whoops. Appetizers, we got the gyoza, scallion pancake, and salt+pepper shrimp. All very good and really liked how crispy the fried items were. BBQ items we really ordered most of everything. As usual, our favs are pork belly and short ribs. The marinade on all the meat is spot on, plus there's a sauce bar if you need anymore. Now, onto the hot pot. Pro-tip, you want the most flavorful broth possible. This determines the flavor of literally anything you cook. I got the spicy which is my usual go-to and it complimented everything perfectly. I'm pretty sure I had two bowls of just broth and udon noodles. The heat stayed consistent so we constantly were cooking more. I loved all the meats and veggies I got to cook (and even the egg I dropped in and accidentally cut in half). I could've sat here for hours eating. I do wish there was kimchi or pickled bean sprouts like other places have. I also wished I had some white rice! Fast service and decent quality of meat for ACE bbq and hot pot. Vegetable selection has less variety than other places that I have been to but the service was absolutely great! Master Ba's was the first hot pot/bbq experience ever and it did not disappoint! Their priced at all-you-can eat hot pot ($28.99/person), bbq ($28.99/person) or both ($35/person) and you should definitely come ready to eat until you can't even look at another bite of food anymore! It's a great experience for dates, small groups (3-4) and even larger ones, however it did look as if they had limited seating for larger groups, so definitely call ahead. We went on a Saturday night at 6 and it wasn't uncomfortably packed at all.The group gets one menu to order off of, and if you're going to choose the hot pot, each person gets their choice of broth. My group chose the spicy, thai, and bone broth. Appetizers are included in the all you can eat , and there are plenty of vegetables items for those who do not eat meat. For those who do eat meat, they're in for a super flavorful experience! From the broths to the veggies, meats and apps everything was delicious. The only thing that could have made my experience better, was our serve had asked if it was our first time and explained a bit of what to do and what he recommends, as we all had a bit of a learning curve.
