So what did I do? I paid it and had it done (as a responsible car-owner). My fiance came in for an oil change-- and you'd never guess-- HIS car also needed a new plug gasket for $900. He declined. Neither of these experiences were enough for me to post this review-- but last week the AC went out in my car. I found a reliable auto company to give me an estimate to repair. Turns out I needed a new compressor-- the other company's estimate was $1499. I brought my car here for the second opinion. I called before coming and they told me they would give me an estimate free of charge-- mind you it also says on the front door they offer free AC Inspections and free estimates. They raised my car and spent about 10-15 minutes checking it out and then dropped the hammer. The compressor was shot (same diagnosis as the 1st company) which was what I was expecting. The cost to repair?? $4200!! I told them that was way too much and they explained this was the OEM price and they needed to use OEM to give the best repair. When they saw me ready to walk, they offered the repair with non OEM parts and that would be $2000. Still being 25% more than the other quote I opted to not have the service done there. They worked up my paper estimate and told me my balance was $89.99. Like wtf? I told them I was told the diagnostic would be free-- and it's literally advertised on their front door as free. Needless to say, they waived the fee, and I had my compressor completed by the other guys for $1499. Lesson learned.

They showed me the original problem in their garage, and when they discovered something else after I'd left, they sent me images and talked me through what they found, confirming my approval to proceed before doing any work we hadn't yet agreed on. I held off writing this review until I drove the 5+ hours home in case it broke down in the desert. Needless to say, due to my 5 star review, that didn't happen; she's running just as well as before the engine light went on, and I highly recommend Passion's services. I also like that they have a guarantee on their work, and since it's through Nationwide I could've even used it back home in CA if there was an issue (instead of having to drive back to Vegas). I had a very disappointing experience with Nevada Auto Center and would strongly advise others to…read moreproceed with caution. My boyfriend brought his work truck in for a diagnostic due to starting issues and other concerns. We were initially charged for the diagnostic, and then quoted approximately $1,900 for repairs. After leaving the vehicle with them, communication quickly became a major issue. Nearly a full week went by with no updates we had to call them ourselves just to find out what was going on. We were told they were waiting on a part from California and that it would arrive within a couple of days. However, several more days passed with no communication. Each time we followed up, we were given vague answers and repeated assurances that the truck would be "ready later that day or the next." This happened several times on separate occasions where we were told the truck would be ready, only for it not to be. In total, they had the truck for three weeks. This is not just an inconvenience this is our work truck, and the delay directly caused lost income. When the truck was finally picked up, on the very next day one of the original issue was still not resolved. It continued to have trouble starting one of the very issue it was brought in for. When we contacted them about this, instead of taking responsibility, and covering it under the repair warranty they claimed it was a separate problem and informed us it would be an additional charge of $400. Additionally, when we attempted to contact the owner directly to discuss and resolve this issue, our calls were ignored and not returned. This is unacceptable. The purpose of a diagnostic is to identify the issues with the vehicle. Charging nearly $2,000 and returning the truck with the same problem and then charging more for it shows either a lack of competence or a lack of integrity. Overall, the experience was marked by: Poor communication and lack of proactive updates Repeated missed timelines and false assurances Extended delays that caused financial loss Failure to properly diagnose and fix the original issue Additional charges for a problem that should have been addressed initially. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants it. Based on our experience, I would not trust this shop with another vehicle, and I would not recommend it to others.
