First project: Elliot installed a French drain in my basement and noticed damage to the walls, so he recommended and installed a special polyester wall barrier. He walked me through the entire process with patience and clarity. I waited a full year before writing this review, just to make sure everything held up--and I can confidently say, even through heavy rains here in Medford, NJ, my basement has remained dry. His work speaks for itself: solid, clean, and reliable. Second project: I still had high humidity in the basement, so Elliot suggested and installed a whole-house dehumidifier (AprilAire E100). He connected it directly to the French drain system, so I no longer have to worry about emptying water or dealing with moisture. It runs efficiently and quietly--even when I'm traveling, I have peace of mind. Third issue: Recently, I had water flooding in the finished part of my basement. I thought it was the water heater, but Elliot offered to stop by just to help figure it out. And he did--within two days, exactly as he promised. He quickly diagnosed the issue: it was actually the AC pump, not the water heater. Thanks to his advice, I was able to get the original installer (under warranty) to fix the problem. Elliot didn't have to help with that, but he did anyway--because that's the kind of person he is. He always followed through on his word, showed up on time, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even when I had concerns, he didn't brush them off--instead of just talking over the phone, he came in person to give me peace of mind. Joe is a great communicator throughout our entire experience, updating progress and arrival times, etc. The working crew did an all around awesome job from demolition of deteriorating walkway, driveway and porch to the laying the new areas. They were dry pleasant and personable to speak with. What was most impressive was the pride of their work and attention to details. When the driveway and side walk were poured, they took time to neatly backfill the edges with little spade shovels and level everything out. Their cleanup was impeccable to the point you would not have known they were even here. At the end of the project, they roped off the area to keep people off and dry properly to the point they will have to return to retrieve the poles and such. Joe also made it a point to take the time on the do's and don'ts of how to properly maintain. It's nice to deal with someone who is knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. Over this past weekend, after a long period of rain, I was concerned that the sump pump installed was not working properly, and I took a short video. I sent the clip of the pump to Robert LanFrank, he responded quickly by text to let me know that Customer Service will call me on Monday. Michelle called on Monday and scheduled a visit to the house with Edgar. Edgar answered all my questions patiently and in detail about the situation (varying heights of water tables affect the float mechanism, which initiates the pump, and high water accumulation does not necessarily mean the pump is not working), after testing the pump. While I will continue to monitor the sump pump activity, as more rain is expected this week. The better experience warrants an upgrade to the rating for Healthyway. This experience was four-star (good). However, given the previous experiences, I am giving three stars (which in my mind equals "as expected" - and a two-star upgrade) for now. I look forward to further upgrading the company, as we rebuild our relationship. [I am also removing the photos from the previous review since the related issues have been resolved.]
