We had multiple projects done by MasterCraft. We had foundation leveling, patio door replacement, new flooring and mold remediation. Each quote was pretty accurate and when some projects went over it was understandable because we had really bad subfloor and water damage throughout the house. The patio door came out great and stopped our leaking issue. The floor was installed great but however there are uneven floor areas. We used to have carpet that masked uneven flooring and now with our new floor some uneven areas are more exposed. We weren't able to get it all fixed but most of it has been evened out. The mold remediation was very quick and quoted accurately. They worked with our budget and our schedule. Overall it was a good experience and would go through MasterCraft again. It makes renovation a lot easier having one company do it all. Charley was very knowledgeable and always responded to texts / calls at any time of the day. Erik from moldsafe was very informative and even provided us with a mold removal spray. He even gave us tips on how to prevent mold and stop the spread of mold growth. I must echo the experiences other have had, as expressed in their glowing reviews of Mastercraft. We have a small house with space challenges galore. When we chose to replace our kitchen sink, we wanted to ensure our contractor had sufficient experience and expertise to handle the numerous challenges of putting a large sink in a small area where clearances below were not so much tight as non-existent. Creative stone cutting and drainage/plumbing were too challenging for other companies, but not for Mastercraft. Their great rep, Haley, hooked us up with one of their top crews, led by Gus. Gus's crew did outstanding work and we now have the new stainless steel sink exactly as we wanted, no compromising necessary. Then we hired them (again through Haley) to put in a new shower. What a beauty! Their tile-setter--Jason--is an artist's artist. His work is absolutely first class. And they worked pretty darned fast for such an extensive job. Gus's guys are first rate pros; he communicates with you, they do what they say they're gonna do, when they say they're gonna do it. For a contractor, that's hitting every slalom pole. Ya won't go wrong with Mastercraft, with Haley, with Gus, (and particularly Jason if you need tile work). read more

We hired Mastercraft to fix the damage from a roof leak we had. The communication they (Juan) provided was above and beyond, by far the best we have had. Juan was constantly checking in to make sure the process went through smoothly, which was nice to see a manager proactively trying to make sure every part of the process was done right. His contractors were able to get everything done at a very quick and efficient pace. They did a great job on the floors, the wood laminate is flush, no unevenness. The dry wall job they did was amazing, quality texturing on the drywall, couldn't even know that the walls were cut open. They also did a great job on the paint, looks super smooth. Would definitely recommend anyone to try them out, and will definitely use them in the future again! read more

My family had a bad experience with a contractor some years ago, so I was very skeptical on choosing one, despite the great ratings and reviews. I went with my gut feeling and picked this company. This was probably the most important/best decision I've ever made. Emily gave us our estimate, but it was a long process of getting things started /approved with our insurance company. Her and Chris came out and showed us some samples of countertops, cabinets, and flooring, and backsplashes. After that, everyone worked in a timely manner. John did our cabinets and they came out so beautiful! His precision skills are incredible. Oscar and another gentleman did our backsplash. That really makes our kitchen stand out! The countertops are so beautiful, and match perfectly with the walls and the flooring. The laminate flooring looks amazing throughout the house! If I were a kid, I'd be skating all through here, ha! It took less than a month to finish everything. Everything came out wonderful and my family is more than satisfied with the results. A little advice before a contractor starts working on your home... *Measure The cabinets we currently have are slightly smaller than the previous ones. The upper cabinets are shorter in width, but the length is longer. So if you want the new stuff to be the same size, make sure you measure beforehand. -Our kitchen island countertop is a few inches shorter and doesn't have the dividers it previously had for the barstools. When we pulled the chairs up to the island, you can't really eat comfortably there because you have to lean so far over. *Don't have anything installed that you're probably gonna question later. -I absolutely love my spice cabinet, but having that installed made my lower bottom cabinet smaller. I can only fit a few pots and pans inside. And on the left side, it used to be a cabinet for more pots and pans, but now it is replaced with a trash can and 4 pull-out drawers. The drawers are very convenient, but the sound of an indoor trash can sounded nice, but a small cabinet would've probably been more useful, because now I only have one side for pots/pans. So think about it: whatever sounds like a good idea, think about if it'll really benefit you in the long run. *People make mistakes, so always check your account. - one of the payments I made to them wasn't logged into their computer, so when they asked for a payment, the balance didn't add up of what I was supposed to owe. I checked my account, and that cleared it right up. Everything's about finished. I'm currently waiting on John to install some stoppers for the cabinets. Overall, this is a very legit company. They take their work very serious. Yes, I highly recommend them if you want a complete job done with premium products used. read more

We've had Jeremy and James out to our property multiple times for quick fixes and larger projects as well. Whether we are calling the main office or talking directly to the staff on site, everyone is knowledgeable, quick to respond, and fair in their pricing. Most importantly the work is quality. We had a call back for an issue that was more about our preference, not the quality or functionality of the work done and Mastercraft still sent out a team to make sure we were 100% pleased. phase one: cascading appliance failure -- already down to two burners on a four-burner cooktop, a dead dishwasher, and a moody oven that worked sporadically, the freezer in the refrigerator/freezer went belly up. bought an inexpensive freezer as a stop-gap​ and contacted a friend of a friend who's a contractor. heard back after two weeks of calls and emails. he's in Mexico on an extended surfing adventure​ but promises to drop by when he gets back in four weeks. four weeks turns into eight weeks. in the meantime,​​ the refrigerator​ half of your refrigerator​/freezer also goes belly up. scrounge a rusted out beer-fridge and hunker down until the extended surf session winds down. phase two: my friend-of-a-friend contractor makes his long-awaited, much-anticipated​ return from Mexico. after daily calls for a week and a half, he drops by but after another month of not much talk and NO action, he stops returning calls altogether​. hovering between disconsolate and suicidal, i call all the local remodeling contractors on Yelp, interview the half who return my calls, and quickly cull the ones who say "maybe" they can squeeze me in next spring. the stove and oven go belly up. left with a hot plate, a toaster oven, and a microwave to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of four, i spend an entire weekend binge-watching​ "the Money Pit" on Netflicks, steeling my resolve for what's coming next. phase three: after several discouraging meetings with other companies, Emily from MASTERCRAFT HOME IMPROVEMENT walked in like a little ray of sunshine. either she and the company behind her were very impressive or i was too desperate and worn out to care. here's the good news: it's the former. i have remained, nearly throughout the entire process, very, very impressed, top to bottom, with Joe Martin and his team: Emily who walked us through the initial​ stages (including shopping for materials (flooring, counters, cabinets), Joe and his partner Chris, who did the design work, Adrian, who delivered materials, Tim, Jerimiah, Ed, Jesse, Brian, Tony, and especially Todd and Michael, our carpenters, Louis and his son Aarón, who did the drywall, Rocko, who did the texturing, Terry, our electrician, Caesar and his son Caesar, our plumbers, Nick and Frank who demo'd the old floors, Adam who laid the new flooring, Benji who patched the stucco​ around the new electrical box and French doors, Leo who did the tile work for the backsplash, Angel and his crew who did the painting, Oscar and Gus (who strapped on belts for a couple of days to move the process along) who supervised them all, and even Janelle who called every week for money -- not even bamboo stakes under my fingernails could get me to say a cross word about any of them. things did NOT go perfectly. it helps to be realistic about the difficulty of the process: if you remodel half your house, it's going to hurt. unless you stay medicated (highly recommended), like labor and delivery there will be epic levels of teeth-gnashing​, hair-pulling, name-calling, and threats of retribution (that's how my five kids came into the world anyway). but the first time you hold that newborn baby in your arms (or stand at the stovetop making breakfast), somehow all the pain won't seem that important. unless you have ESP or x-ray vision, problems you didn't anticipate are going to rear their ugly heads: no headers over the old sliders being replaced with French doors, asbestos in the adhesive for the flooring under the old slate tiles, plastic water lines to the freezer's ice maker that should have been copper, a loadbearing beam severed in a previous remodel to run an electrical line, and in the middle of all that the hot water heater took a dump. most of the "old" problems were inherited from somebody who thought getting the job done was more important than getting the job done right. my photos, beginning to end, (and i still have a couple to post) tell the story: want your remodeling job done right? call MASTERCRAFT. read more

Alicia who answered my call initially was very kind. Joe was extremely friendly, punctual, honest and most importantly, gave a thorough assessment of my issue and offered ideas for solutions. As a real estate investor and serial relocator I've worked with many tradesmen, and been through countless renovation projects on both investment properties and my own homes. So, having just moved to California it was once again the time to find a contractor to do a major renovation to our new home. We interviewed and rejected 6 or 7 companies when finally Mastercraft walked through the door for a consultation. Within minutes we knew we had found our contractor. We weren't wrong. They immediately understood the look and the quality that we wanted and set about cheerfully making it happen. We had a number of design consultations to decide on the layout and then meetings to go over materials and finishes. Conveniently, they have their own showroom of finishes to choose from, and also relationships with a number of vendors if you can't find what you're looking for in their showroom. Once all the various ingredients were in place they set to work. They showed up every day and finished in a timely manner. During our time together I noticed something. Pretty much everyone they sent out had a very positive attitude. The employees for the most part told me they liked working for the company and were well paid and well treated. I think this says a lot and contributes greatly to a well done final product. Mastercraft spent a good deal of energy making sure that they got it right and that we were completely satisfied. The company name says it all. Our project was to demo our shower and the soaking tub next to it to make one large walk-in shower. Our first contact was with Haley in sales and design. Haley was great to work with. She had great input and really listened to what our vision was and even when we made some material changes she noted them and provided written confirmation. Once we received our estimate and decided to use Mastercraft we waited to get put on the schedule. Once we got on the schedule to start work things kept moving along. Our project manager, Chris, was great to work with, and even if he wasn't at our home every day, it seemed like every other day, but he was always available by phone. Chris always communicated what tradesperson would be at our home, an approximate time of arrival and how many days they would be there to work. The various tradespeople that came to our home were exceptional, truly masters of their craft. Jeremy, the plumber was awesome and did an amazing job. Even though most of the work Jeremy did is now behind tile, I saw his work and have confidence that the job was done right. Anthony the tiler is amazing. He communicated about various aspects of the tile job and asked how we would like certain things and had great input. Gino the drywaller did work that matched existing drywall and we can't tell where the new and old drywall meet. All tradespeople that came to our home were employees with the exception of the glass company who also did a nice job and had some helpful input as well. The payment schedule was how all contractors should work. The deposit was made for materials and payments were made as each portion of work was completed, including the glass company which was at the end of the project, but was billed through Mastercraft. Mastercraft stands behind their work, they take responsibility and the professionalism and quality of work exceeded our expectations. I truly believe you get what you pay for and we did. read more

They did an amazing beautiful job on remodeling my laundry room. Every single person here was so nice, easy to work with, communication was spot on. They are very honest hard working people and the quality of their work is top notch. I had some difficulty finding the right size sink for my laundry room in exactly the material I wanted. My home is about 20 years old, and it was due for a facelift, both interior and exterior. I looked at several companies, some were obviously more expensive than others, but you usually get what you pay for. I also looked at ratings and photos of work done. Ultimately, for the interior work, I opted for Mastercraft, based upon ratings and my initial impression. This process started with a consultant walking through my home along with me, going over the basics about what I wanted to do. She (Megan) was very helpful, and had several visits and many calls/texts with ideas. We met at a local granite/tile dealer where I made my choices. She was also helpful in helping sort out some early issues, none of which were serious in nature, just my choices for things versus what they budgeted for these items. Just to give you an idea of what I did, I replaced the granite in my kitchen, a substantial amount. I also placed granite in two bathrooms, and demo'd a tub and shower to create a large walk in shower. Be prepared to pay more than the estimate. The only way to avoid that would be to let Mastercraft staff choose your items, or strictly remain under the limit, and I can almost guarantee you that would be very difficult. In fact, the company did try to strongly suggest some things that they either had or were prepared to order for the job, many of which I vetoed. For example, sinks, faucets and the like, if you have a vision, it will very possibly be different from their vision, we all have different taste when it comes to our home. Communication and staying very familiar with what is happening is a must. The end product was very good, but getting there was a bit bumpy at times. The company changed the foreman about half way through my job, and this did cause some issues. (I truly do not believe it was the fault of the new foreman Diego, or the previous foeman Brian, but rather the process.) The original plan for some specific areas I had discussed and agreed upon had not been memorialized to a written detailed plan (diagram), other than a piece of a legal paper pad, with a handwritten inked diagram on it, that left out some pertinent info. What would have been better would be like a professional diagram or blueprint, however you wish to describe it. Something solid to refer to for times like this. The Foreman that replaced Brian (Diego) and ultimately finished the project was very involved and committed to getting things done to my satisfaction. Diego was very tenacious in getting things addressed, and did lots of follow up to see the job through to completion. Diego is very dependable and saw things through to the end. The previous foreman (Brian) was also very good, and had some great ideas. He was transferred to a different region before completing my project. The manager (Oscar) was very good with communication, and greatly helped in seeing things through to a satisfactory conclusion. The Sales Rep. (Megan) that came out to my home and helped through the process should also be commended. I would recommend this company, the work done is excellent. read more

A decorator helped me pick the coordinating materials--the cabinets, flooring, ceramic tiles and countertop. A kitchen designer created a 3-D layout and redesigned the kitchen flow to give me more cabinet space and make working in the kitchen more efficient.
