Since my first visit in 2019, I have always received a warm welcome when coming through the door and have always found the salon to be impeccably clean and organized. It says a lot that many of the stylists are some that I saw on my first visit. Jackie continues to work her miracles with my hair, never wavering when I get a wild hair (pun intended) to try something new. She always listens carefully to my comments and offers her professional suggestions. I have never, in 7 years, left dissatisfied. I always leave in a better mood than when I arrived due to the relaxed, fun, down-to-earth stylists and engaging environment. Thank you, Salon 20/20 for your incredible talent!!

Faith spent a lot of time with me before making opinions as to the best way to proceed. Time well spent! She ultimately did partial highlights & blunt cut. EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! Scheduling was super easy, and obviously with little wait. I had an amazing colorist at a hip salon in Chicago and was nervous about my first hair appointment in Louisville. Leslie was very welcoming from the start and understood exactly what I wanted while explaining how to achieve that. We had genuine conversation. I'm so happy with the outcome!! Only complaint is more about the salon space itself. I had never been there before and it was a little difficult to find just from Google Maps directions. The salon was a little untidy; cut hair on the floor of empty stations. The music over head was mellow, somewhat had break up songs interrupted by commercials. True to its name the owner decorates the space with monsteras and other greenery. I love the painting on the wall as well and the pops of color. The space is relaxing. Only side note is about the salon chairs. They were a tight fit for my pear shape. I've not had this issue before and felt self conscious. This fit could be tough for a future client.

I absolutely love going to J Michael's salon located at 4121 Shelbyville Road (in the old Sears…read morebuilding). Paige is the stylist I see, & she does a phenomenal job on my hair. I normally get a touch up on my color, she trims up my hair, she also styles it (sometimes she uses a straight iron to make my hair straight & smooth) other times she curls my hair, if I'm headed out for a night on the town. Most times she waxes my brows for me as well. A typical visit includes a stop at the color bar where the freshening up of my hair color takes place. The chairs are comfortable, & there are snacks nearby if you need a little something to hold you over until lunch or dinner. Every time as soon as I enter, I'm greeted by the receptionist, & she asks if I need anything to drink - a soda, or water (you can get a canned soda, or a glass with ice) they also have wine & bourbon as well if you're really having a bad day or week. I usually sit at the color bar while the touch up is being done, as well as the time it takes for it to process. After that, it's off to the shampoo bowl (which is probably my favorite part)! The color is rinsed off, I get shampood, conditioner, & toner. This is also where my brows are done. Lastly we go to her chair where she trims & styles my hair. The salon is very well laid out, there are 4-5 salon chairs laid out in each section, so when your stylist is taking care of you it doesn't get so loud that you can't carry on a conversation. At J Michael's you can get a manicure, pedicure, a facial, you can have your makeup done, get a massage, lash extensions, and even microblading. They are definitely a full service salon. It's bright & airy, people are friendly, & there's always music playing, & it's generally a wonderful place to get pampered. There's plenty of parking just outside the door of the salon. I'd definitely recommend J Michael's if you're looking for a good place to be spoiled. The products Paige uses on my hair leaves it feeling soft & looking healthy. I typically buy several of those she uses on me, every other visit so I can keep my hair looking just as nice as when I leave the salon.

This apparently was the decision of a manager. Heard that this has angered some patrons. What kind of bonehead would treat their customers in this fashion? That individual needs to sit by the bathroom door and personally tell patrons and possibly their children why they can't use it. My last comment is you want to have a welcoming atmosphere in your store. Asking them to use the restroom at Duck Donuts is beyond stupid.
