What a pleasant surprise! Reading the reviews for this place had my wife and I on the fence about trying it. We live in the area and we're excited to have a great Indian option on the hillside. We loved everything we ate. We had the 555 chicken biryani, vegetarian samosas and the chicken tikka masala. The service was good and the ambience was lovely. My wife had a rum cocktail and it was incredible. We're looking forward to our next meal there, especially since it's in walking distance.

Friendly staff, great food, loud music. Ordered Karampodi chicken and it came out within 5 mins. A fiery, red chilli , red colored chicken appetizer. It was spicy and the boneless chicken tasted delicious! The masala dosa was little bigger than anticipated and came with good coconut and tomato chutney along with Sambhar. The plain naan was perfect and so was the kadai vegetable. Lastly, the one we love. The fry piece chicken biryani was flavorful and loved the biryani. The rasamalai cake was good but not for folks who don't like Indian sweets! Lots of parking and the music is pretty loud in case you are looking for a quite place

came here around 8:30 PM on a monday night, so it was very quiet. They had one direction songs playing the whole time which I loved (they know me so well)! the place is very spacious and the food is delicious. i know people use this space to host events which is a great idea. the food comes out really quickly. we got the gobi manchurian to start with & it was delicious. the sauce was just slightly spicy and the cauliflower was very crispy. for main we got the paneer 555 biryani which was good, but i think i would prefer a curry with rice instead. it comes with raita which is good bc it was pretty spicy. i'm not the biggest biryani fan so i wouldn't get this again. my friend got the chicken chettinad curry which was good and it comes with rice. we also ordered a side or plain naan which tastes exactly like what u would expect. i would order the gobi manchurian again but probably try a different main option next time. our total was around $70 including tip which is a decent price for 2 mains and an app.

My boyfriend and I hungrily came here this past week after playing tennis nearby and craving Indian food for dinner. This was our first time at Masthi. Masthi took over the old Red Robin location in Issaquah, across from Costco. It's a huge establishment and they kept all the original booths but added a bar at the front. I don't recall if they are using the original red Red Robin chairs or if they are new.The interior decor has been updated to fit the ambiance There is plenty of parking as they have their own private lot. We ordered the.. GARLIC NAAN- super fresh and super garlicky- in the picture, you can see all the minced garlic stuck on each slice! We ended up ordering two orders of this because it was so good and great for dipping into the curry! BUTTER CHICKEN (spicy)- butter chicken is our classic go-to and so we got this with and with a spice level of spicy (note that their range is medium, spicy, and extra spicy). The butter chicken was creamy and had great tomato flavor. However, it was just a tad too sweet for my liking. Regardless, the chicken was tender and the dish was very flavorful overall. MURGH MUGHALAI (medium spicy)- this was our waiter's suggestion as we wanted to try something new and different from our usual butter chicken. He said that this was a popular curry. We actually ended up liking this curry more than the butter chicken as it was more complex in flavors. It was savory, spicy, creamy and everything a good curry should be. Googling it, it supposedly contains ghee, onions, cashews, garlic, ginger, green chilies and chicken. We would order this again. Service was excellent, but we came at 5:30pm before the dinner rush started to hit. Our waiter came by several times to drop off a water canteen and to check in on us. He was very friendly. In total, our bill came to $59 including tax and tip. We were stuffed by the end and so it was definitely good value for a good meal. The only reason I take one star off is that their bathroom is clean, but it smells to the point where you have to hold your breath. They need an air freshener or something. This is also the one part they have not updated since Red Robin as it looks extremely retro and even has the "Red Robin employees must wash their hands" sign still on the inside of the bathroom door. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

My family has come to Masthi several times since it opened and we are absolutely obsessed with their food. It's gotten to a point where my dad asks to come to this restaurant at least once a week, and honestly, I'm with him on that. Our go-to appetizers are the Chicken 65 and the Masala Fries. I love their take on masala fries and how perfectly seasoned they are. Whenever they arrive at the table, they are gobbled up pretty quickly. For drinks, I love their cosmopolitan, it's the perfect shade of pink and tastes so smooth and citrusy. My parents also love their cocktails, especially the Jalapeno margarita. My mom loves the nimbu pani / lemon soda they offer too. For mains, we love the Chicken Tikka Masala and order it with a side of perfectly fluffy garlic naans. If there are any masala fries left, we also love dipping it in the curry, if you haven't tried that yet, I totally would, your taste buds will thank you. We also love to order the Apollo Shrimp, it's a little too spicy for me, but I love that mouth on fire feeling while I'm wiping away my tears. We love this restaurant and will continue to come back!

We were here at 4pm on a Friday. We ordered mostly appetizers which were pleasantly tasty. Soya chap, gobi manchurian, paneer sliders, paneer nachos and samosa. Everything tasted good. Prices were reasonable and decor was good. Service was excellent. Ask for Sabin as your waiter, he helped us pick our appetizers and drinks. He came by multiple times, refilled water, cleared plates and even cleaned the table before dessert. The bartender was also very pleasant.

A great place for Indian cuisine -- and one of the few with karaoke! Things tried till now: Paneer Chilli, Hyderabadi Chicken Curry, Malai Kofta with Garlic Naan, Garlic Fried Rice, Chilli Baby Corn, Vegetable Hakka Noodles, and Chai. Verdict: The Paneer Chilli was spot on -- crisp yet tender paneer, tossed in a perfectly balanced mix of spice and tang. The Hyderabadi Chicken Curry is a definite highlight: rich, bold, and authentically spicy, but not for the faint-hearted. The Malai Kofta fell short -- a bit bland and lacking the richness you'd expect. It paired decently with the Garlic Naan, which was soft and well-made. The Indo-Chinese offerings were impressive. The Garlic Fried Rice had depth of flavor without being overly oily, while the Vegetable Hakka Noodles nailed that classic Indian street-style taste. The Chilli Baby Corn was decent but slightly heavy on masala. The Chai was warm and soothing -- a nice way to end the meal. Service: Quick and efficient. Ambience: Lively with Indian music playing in the background. The added touch of karaoke and live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays makes it a uniquely enjoyable dining experience.

Super tasty food, with a huge menu to choose from. I thought their indochinese menu was just great, the gobi manchurian was a highlight of the evening. Their curries were good, but keep in mind that they said the rice that came with the curry is meant to be shared between people. I thought the biryani was good, it was a different style than what I'm normally used to as the meat was sauced and layered on top with no whole spices in the rice. Very different experience!

Masti bar and grill truly lives up to its name The Frozen Margarita and Vodka Puchka were absolutely amazing. Loved the Indo-Chinese street-style food especially the chowmein and baby corn The vibes are super fun, and the Thursday live karaoke night makes it even better. Perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy great food with a twist

Chicken Tikka Masala ($17.99) & Garlic Naan ($4.49)

While Masthi may have taken over the building, both the exterior and interior of the restaurant are still so reminiscent of what was formerly Red Robin. That said, there is a large amount of seating in the main dining space, a roomy bar area, and some tables out on the patio. I was surprised at how quiet it was during peak lunch time, so our group got seated immediately and we essentially had the entire waitstaff to ourselves. As much as I enjoy Indian cuisine, I actually don't eat it as often as I'd like, so it was a treat to dine family-style and try a number of items! + MIX VEG PAKODA ($10.99): A variety of vegetables were covered in a chickpea and rice flour batter. They had a nice crispy texture although the batter seemed a bit thick and overpowered the natural taste of the vegetables. + CHICKEN MAJESTIC ($16.99): Deep-fried pieces of chicken were covered in a tangy spicy sauce which was so flavorful and brought a mild heat. I probably could have eaten the entire plate of this addicting appetizer. + 65 BIRYANI ($16.99): Deep-fried chicken in a chili sauce came packed on top of a fragrant bed of rice. While tender, the chicken was shockingly red to the point of being artificially colored. The rice was okay, but pretty light in flavor compared to other biryanis I've had elsewhere. + GOAT CURRY ($18.99): This comforting curry was full of warm spices and contained a fair amount of goat. It also had a surprising heat... nothing extreme, but more of a slow burn. + GARLIC NAAN ($4.49): This thin-ish naan had a crispy bottom and a substantial amount of chopped garlic on top. I would have liked it to be a little softer, but flavor-wise it was on par with your standard naan. + CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA ($17.99): As expected, this creamy tomato-based curry with tender chicken paired nicely with the rice and naan. Considering the prices, the serving sizes of our dishes seemed smaller than what I'd expect, but for the most part, I enjoyed everything we ordered. If you're on the hunt for a new Indian restaurant, it's worth giving Masthi a try.

Ordered baby-corn chatpata, paneer kebab appetizers. Unique taste, not the regular Manchurian or dry. Garlic naan and malai kofta was flavorful and naan was tasty. 555 paneer biriyani was delicious. Mango lassi was presented well. Usually we get it in a plastic cup. Service was good and the host did acknowledge. Ambience was great. They have karaoke night every Thursday. Will visit again to try more food.

Came to this place on a whim, and I am so glad we did! The food, probably one of the best meals I've ever had! Our server Joel, was simply amazing. Not only did he answer any questions we had with the menu, he took time to mingle with us. His attitude and easy demeanor, made our experience extraordinary.

We tried this place on a weekday for dinner. The ambience is pretty good with Bollywood and Tollywood music. Service is good. The staff were friendly. Food: We ordered soya chap, mix veg fried rice, crispy corn. This was my first time having soya chap and really loved it. It was amazing, my friends loved it too. Fried rice was pretty good, although it had lots and lots of peas ! Although they gave another order of fried rice without peas which was very nice of them. Drinks: Cocktails and mock-tails were pretty good too.
