I was thoroughly impressed throughout my experience dining solo on a Sunday night. The hosts were immediately friendly and took my umbrella and brought a menu as I popped up to the bar. The bartender (Alma if I recall correctly) absolutely made my night with incredible menu guidance for my first visit and the perfect amount of chatting. I had the Catch roll, salmon entree, and the basmati rice side, along with a beer and glass of wine. The rice and salmon were some of the best food I've ever had! Nothing against the Catch roll, but the others were standouts. I loved the environment and would certainly go back, whether at the bar or a table. Pricing seems reasonable and is well worth it for how good everything was. I walked out at $115 solo and had no issue that. Note there is a 20% service charge included, as seems standard for most places in the area. They do a good job offering sensible tip amounts if you want to add more, at 3, 5, and 7/8% on top. If ambiance were currency, Catch Miami Beach would be printing money. Took a friend of mine there for her birthday, which could've gone left as a vegan walking into a place known for seafood--but I'll give credit where it's due, this place gets it. Not only did I eat well, I ate really well. And somehow, so did the non-vegans in our party. Everyone left satisfied, which is no small feat. Let's talk food: the cauliflower bites? Dangerous. The kind of dish that makes you side-eye every other appetizer you've ever committed to. And the pistachio cheesecake... yeah, that alone is reason enough to come back. The vibe? To start, we tried the Wagyu Dumplings, which quite literally melted in your mouth and a must order. The Bluefin Otoro was also melt in your mouth fresh and buttery, and the Catch Roll (crab, salmon, miso-honey) offered a perfect combination of textures and sweetness. For entrees we got the Hot Stone Wagyu Fried Rice. Served sizzling hot, it came with shiitake mushrooms, Chinese pork sausage, and a fried egg , super flavorful. And, of course, dessert had to be the famous "Hit Me" Chocolate Cake .. a mix of liquid Klondike, roasted white chocolate ice cream, brownie, and devil's food cake. Every bite was perfection. People were ordering drinks and switching seats to talk to people... our server kept track of everyone and their drinks no matter where they were. It was wild! The new patio looks amazing! Service was great as always. However, I was a bit disappointed because they completely changed their menu and removed some of the best items. There are no more pretzel bites, no lobster mac and cheese (which was the BEST -- I honestly don't understand why they removed one of their best dishes), and no more steak skewers. They should definitely bring back the lobster mac and cheese! Overall, it was still good, but it could have been much better if they hadn't removed the best items. The first time I dined at Catch was in LA, and I absolutely loved it! I had the herb-roasted branzino, Brussels sprouts, king crab tempura, and of course the doughnut wheel and everything was sooo good. So naturally, after moving to Miami, I had to check out Catch Miami on South Beach, and let me just say... it did not disappoint! I was enamored by the selection, we're talking fresh oysters and gigantic cocktail shrimp on ice, fresh sushi and sashimi, an omelet station, large selection of fresh baked pastries, a carving station, and a grill with shrimp and chicken skewers made on the spot. The desert selection was amazing and I implore you reading this to try the chocolate strawberry cookie...MAGNIFICENT. We went for Sunday brunch and had a reservation at 11. This has officially become my new favorite brunch spot. Father's day brunch was popping! I had made reservations and valet was a cinch. Walking into the restaurant was so pretty with all the greenery and beautiful pots..I loved the esthetic of it all. Once confirming our reservation you go up to the third floor where the whole rooftop is a vibe. We ordered a bottle of champagne and then I began to stuff my face...like a lady of course. I started with a small portion of my building own charcuterie board (different cheeses and blends of meats) and some ceviches(salmon, mushroom, octopus) along with a salad, then went to the seafood (crab, shrimp, oysters) station and grabbed some sushi. Everything was so fresh and delish. They also had the lox available with perfect cuts of salmon rolled up and bagels ( and assortment of flavors) and different cream cheeses. The croissants, and vanishes were buttery and crispy and I devoured them. They also had this amazing truffle spaghetti that was heaven and grilled shishito peppers, pork, meat, skewers, and so much more. Don't forget the dessert table with get your canolli stuffed and topped the way you like it, caramel popcorn panna cottage, cookies, chocolate and more. Our waiter even brought us some Pina colada ice cream that just completed the meal and hot day. We had the perfect meal, for the perfect celebration. Heading many great things about this place, we made reservations at 6 pm. We were surprised to see nobody else there but also remembered we're in Miami. By 7 pm, almost all the tables were filled. Dress code is highly monitored and adhered as far at their website and from looking at the other patrons. For starters we shared a few items. The crunchy rice cakes are singular servings so we got 3 of them. They were entirely deep fried with a drizzle of spicy mayo and eel sauce on top. The Catch roll was lightly seasoned but the truffle sashimi was very good in a ponzu and mirin based sauce. For entrees, my sister got the miso glazed sea bass which was far too sweet for her preference but cooked perfectly. My herb roasted branzino came with creamy basmati rice so we order an extra side for the table. I enjoyed the chimichurri-like topping over the bed of rice. The spicy gigli was subtly spicy and also very creamy. For dessert we split their Pistachio cheesecake & Kakigori which is a seasonal shaved ice. In this case it was apple flavored stuffed with jam & cream cheese. The shaved ice was very tart by itself but then too sweet with the topping condensed milk. Overall, we had a pleasant experience but given the price, none of the dishes in particular were that standout to return specially for. It's certainly classy and sophisticated, but the food lacked a bit more character. May come again in the future. read more

What a beautiful establishment. In my opinion, I think Catch Miami (2024) puts Catch NYC (2011) to shame in the decor department. Not to take away from the NYC location but Catch Miami being the newest of the two allowed for more thought to be put into its design. As for the food, the menu's are identical with their Catch Classic apps and entrees. Plus their signature 'Hit Me' dessert, available to end one's meal. I enjoyed all aspects of our visit. The beautiful and welcoming modelesque hosts and waitstaff. Plus the warm, snazzy decor. Very upscale surroundings to say the least. My only pet peeve with a restaurant of this caliber, is their waitstaff not understanding the timing of clearing plates at the end of a course. I still find most high end restaurants practicing this etiquette and is not a lost art. Waiting to clear all plates together is meant to allow the diner who is still eating, not to feel rushed or uncomfortable. In addition, the waitstaff should ask permission before touching a diners plate to clear, then wait for a reply. I understand that Catch, per se, is not Fine Dining like Per Se, though if a restaurant presents themselves in that manner, I believe it should carry through during service. Aside from these faux pas, which I hope can be tweaked to meet all the other positive aspects of Catch Miami, we would visit again. read more

As someone who has been to every Catch around, this one is my favorite. The design and decor is more opulent than any other location IMO, not taking away from the other locations' charm. My family and I really enjoyed the beautiful roof top brunch at Catch. The highlight for me was para negra jamón ibérico sliced right in front of me! You never see that at a brunch. We were welcomed right away when entering the front and we were seated in the main dining room. They have a beautiful bar next to the host stand in case you'd like to have a drink prior to dinner. If you know me, I have been on the hunt for the best bottomless brunch spot in Miami. I am so happy to announce that Miami has a new spot that in my opinion is top 5 (based on the places I've been). I had the pleasure of celebrating my friend's birthday at one of Miami's newest spots, Catch Miami Beach located south of fifth. Yup. Same Catch as Vegas, LA, New York and Dallas. Their Sunday rooftop brunch starts at $75 per person for unlimited food served buffet style. Several stations ranging from a raw bar, fresh ceviche, sushi, hot stations which include grass-fed NY strip, organic chicken, wasabi-miso salmon, beef kofta, shrimp, my absolute favorite, their truffle mushroom pasta. Uff!!! They also have breakfast classics with an omelette station, Jamón Ibérico (carved to order). Dessert stations, and much more. For $75, it is definitely worth it! They also offer three drink packages. The Admiral ($205) includes bottomless Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque, Domaines Rosé, Far Niente, Caymus, a Bloody Mary station, Juice Bar and select cocktails ranging from Lychee Martinis, Detox Tequila Drink, etc. The Captain ($65) similar to The Admiral but with lower tier alcohol but still great such as bottomless Veuve Clicquot, Mumm Rosé, Jordan, Clos Du Val, Bloody Mary and Juice bar and cocktails as well. This is the one we choose, highly recommend! Lastly, The Cadet ($30) you get bottomless mimosas, Bellinis, Luca Paretti Prosecco and Sainte Marguerite rosé. Overall, the food was delicious, the drinks kept flowing, service was great and the ambiance was beautiful. I highly recommend checking out Catch Miami Beach for Sunday Brunch. Famous celeb-sighting Catch restaurant came to Miami Beach. We went there in the opening week, and here are my thoughts. The interior is beautiful, giving NY fancy bar vibes completely different from the one in LA. I didn't like the service. We came an hour before our reservation, and we were asked to wait. I would expect them to try to find a table for us earlier, but not only didn't it happen, but we waited 30 minutes PAST our reservation time. They make all people wait at the bar, which I think is their method of selling more alcohol. That is disrespectful!   Setting aside this issue, let's discuss the food. I really enjoyed the Catch signature roll with the torch presentation. The Hellfire roll wasn't disappointing either. Shishito peppers are a great starter with an extra smoky flavor. The Caesar salad and Wagyu gyoza were good but not impressive. Okay, desserts are MUST-TRY. The pistachio cheesecake blew my mind: super rich, nutty, creamy cheesecake with natural pistachio paste. I couldn't believe it was vegan! And, of course, the famous Hit Me chocolate cake. Dense brownies covered with melted ice cream and chocolate--great show, great taste.   I will return to Catch for their dishes, but I hope the service and waiting situation will get better. read more

Years ago we had the pleasure of dining at Catch NYC in the meat packing district. We had a great time and when we heard they opened one in South Beach, we knew we had to head over. We made reservations for our 15 year wedding anniversary. The restaurant located near South Point of South beach. The interior of Catch is very modern and even had the brick interior feel like their New York counterpart. The menu here consist of Seafood and sushi with a twist, for starters we ordered their sashimi pizza, Catch roll, and Waygu Surf and Turf roll. All the starters were fresh and delicious the sashimi pizza consisted of tuna, salmon, and white topped with a flavorful aioli sauce. The Catch roll consisted of salmon and crab and they blowtorch it in front to enhance the flavors. The last roll consisted of slices of waygu beef and lobster very good but my only complaint was the plates were very small and set you back 30 dollars for 5 or 6 rolls. For the main entree we ordered their Sea bass, waygu fried rice with lobster and mashed potatoes. The Sea bass had a sweet Miso glazed that gave the fish a very tasty and melt in your mouth texture. The wagyu and lobster fried rice came in stone bowl where it was cooked, delicious but be careful with the hot bowl. The only part of the meal that was underwhelming was the mashed potatoes, just basic. Then came dessert time and we ordered their ricotta donuts with different dipping sauces was the softest and perfectly sweet donuts I had in a while.
