The interior is cute! Nice staff and a chill place to stop by and get a drink or acai bowls. I got the coco glow and it was fantasticc. The portion of the bowl is pretty big and i love the little granolas and the cripsy rice stuff in it. The flavors of the fruit and the coconut were a good mix! Didn't really taste the matcha chia seeds though. The bowl overall is super refreshing and delicious -- i'd come back for the bowls! On the other hand, i wasn't a fan of their matcha latte. It's very very earthy. It didn't taste like any matchas i've ever had and i've had a numerous amount..Maybe the best choice isn't the matcha latte? I was expecting better because everyone said their matcha is good but i don't see that at all :,) read more

The vibe is so unique here so it's no surprise that you're paying mostly for that. The service is good, nothing terrible to note but also nothing above and beyond. The actual drink are pretty solid, but I don't know if I'd say they are $7-$15 good, especially since the size of the drink is pretty small. Parking can be difficult since it's packed area, but that's to be expected. Giving 4 stars mostly because of the value when getting something like a smoothie. I think they can do a bit better on pricing. read more

I bought a matcha tin to try at home because as I said earlier, I love trying different matcha. Also, for around $30?? the powder was not worth it. I think it lacked complexity and even a strong matcha taste. I usually add 3 grams per cup, but I had to use around 5g to taste matcha. Super unfortunate because I was hoping it was just the lack of prep and skimping on products, but I think the quality of matcha isn't the best. ): read more

There was a line on a weekday in the morning. I ordered the strawberry matcha iced drink and it was delicious. The bottom of the drink was a little more "matcha" flavor so definitely give it a good stir. If you don't drink it fast enough it also becomes bitter. But great drink and store. I want to try other things next time. read more

The drinks were okay, on the sweeter side than my preference, though I usually enjoy a more bitter matcha. Omg you guys have to try this place, I'm here now it's my mother in law and my best friend Naibi and we got some matcha lattes and some toast and an açaí bowl, everything here is clean, the guest service is amazing, they are friendly and knowledgeable for a guy like me that is a first timer on matcha ! A beautiful place to sit down and catch up with friends. I loved the pink decorations and overall ambience, there were many cute spots for pictures and they had some cool matcha drink candles based on their menu. The service was good and efficient, we ordered a Matcha Horchata, the Dreamsickle, Blueberry Matcha, the Banana Cream Matcha and the Lox On toast. The Blueberry Matcha was a bit too sweet and the toast was okay, I didn't feel it was quite worth it compared to what I could make at home. Overall, I'd recommend coming here for their drinks and vibes! read more

Decided to try this place again after not liking it for the first time. Going this time, it was pretty good. I got the toasted matchamallow latte, and my partner got the strawberry matcha. He was not a fan of the strawberry matcha and couldn't really pinpoint why. I liked the toasted matchamallow latte but wish there was more marshmallow flavoring in it. The presentation is cute and the patcha does taste pretty high quality but wish it was maybe a little sweeter. Service was great, we left with a matcha tin as well. !! LOVE LOVE LOVE !! Well I was starting to lose hope to find good matcha in this rainy city. But alas, matcha magic magically saved the day!! This uber shop in Bellevue carries good matcha - I had it pure, without any adders, and it was fresh, balanced, foamy thick, even in the water only ceremonial version. Definitely try the matcha colada with coconut milk - oh so good, like being on an island! For those who don't want matcha, the dreamsicle smoothie has similar vibes. Service was friendly and drinks were made quickly. They also serve food like matcha chia pudding and toasts. We had the toast flight and liked the Greek life toast the most. They have a paid parking lot next to the shop as well as paid street parking nearby. I hope they open more franchises, would love to try more drinks! No outdoor seating so not dog friendly :(. But they do have takeout. And you'll notice from other reviews that the prices are not cheap but I thought the matcha was high quality and it ain't cheap - so we got what we paid for. We stopped here after a grocery run, super cute place! Lots of people were working on their computers and catching up. Also, lots of food traffic around the store. Relatively easy to find parking. We tried the iced strawberry matcha and iced horchata matcha. Their default is oat milk. We liked our drinks but it's not something we will make a trip to come have. DO NOT GET THE TOAST! $20 for 3 pieces of toast should illegal. The Avocado isn't even fresh, it's the packaged spread kind. I approached that they have gluten free bread substitute. None of them tasted very good and not filling at all. Service was mid. I asked the barista if she thought the ceremonial matcha is better hot or cold, she didn't respond... so I assumed she didn't hear me and asked again to which she said "ya I don't know". Thankfully another barista jumped in and said that it has a stronger matcha taste if ordered hot. Also no free wifi :/ I hate that the tables are like patio tables so uncomfortable and odd. Overall vibe inside is nice and I like that the music isn't too loud. Toast flight 0/5: wouldn't order again, not fresh, not filling. I got the house avocado, everything and Greek life. Since none of them were fresh they were all equally bad but ig Greek was probably best and House one the worst. The fact that it's a spread Avocado makes it taste so bad and for that price is insane. This place is so cute! I got the banana matcha smoothie because it's something different that I've never had before. I loved it! It wasn't overly flavorful or sweet, which is a matcha experience I enjoy -- subtle earthy flavor with a hint of yummy sweetness. I thought this drink was great and would definitely get it again. The employee that took my order was very nice and friendly, and gave her opinion on the menu as it was my first time in. I've tried a few spots around town and this one jumps near the top: they whisk it fresh to order and let you choose the strength. I went double strength--clean, grassy, not bitter--and honestly it hit better than coffee for a midday lift. The space is cute without being try-hard--pink décor, bright, and cheerful. Menu's not just matcha, either: plenty of smoothies and açaí bowls if you want something cold or more filling. Service was friendly and efficient; nothing over the top, but quick and on it. Been a fan of matcha magic for a long time, but the change to the menu (don't remember when this happened) feels very corporate, almost like they were bought out. Overall the flavor is still there and so are the good ingredients but the love for the smoothies feels a bit lost and the matcha is somewhat mid now. I stopped by this spot and the girls working there were super sweet and attentive, they really make you feel welcome. The place itself is cute and aesthetic, definitely has a nice vibe. The matcha was good overall, but honestly not at all ceremonial like I was told it would be. Maybe some of the other drinks are, but mine wasn't - it had a strong bitterness that stood out right away. For someone who doesn't drink much matcha it might pass, but if you know the difference you can tell immediately. I was a bit disappointed because if I had been given the option to pay extra for a higher quality matcha, I would have done it or just chosen another mix. read more

I've been once before a year ago and fell in love with their Strawberry Glaze smoothie. It had a fantastic mix of fruity, nutty, and creamy flavors that made the steep price nearly worth it. One year later I was finally in the area and went out of my way to come back and relive my dream. But as things usually go, this time it wasn't as good as I remembered :( the nuttiness was lacking. It's still really delicious, just feels bad when it's $15. The inside is beautiful - really great for laptop work or a friend chat. I have been to Matcha Magic in Bellevue several times. Has a super cute interior and a good study spot. It is also women owned. It used to be one of my favorite matcha spots when visiting Old Bellevue. Staff are always friendly and make orders quickly. My two favorite drinks are the Toasted Marshmallow matcha latte and Purple Rain which is a seasonal drink. However, I feel that their quality has gone down recently. The drinks are still pretty but I don't really get that strong flavor of matcha anymore. It feels more like I'm drinking milk. And with how pricey these drinks are, I'd rather get what I'm paying for. I don't know if there's been a change in staff or if they've changed their ratio, but unfortunately it looks like I might need to find a new matcha spot if this keeps up. I'd still recommend it to people looking for matcha that's flavorful with syrups, but if you're looking for straight up plain matcha lattes, this might not be the place for you. read more

The matcha horchata had the potential to be good but they added wayyyy too much matcha and my drink ended up tasting very gritty and only matcha. Mr. Brioche ($11) - This sandwich starts with a rich toasted brioche bun, which is then slathered with some creamy and fatty aioli. A soft and tender, spiced breakfast patty is placed on top, charred just a tad to give some browning and develop flavor. Some eggs, cooked on the flat top in a circular mold which makes it perfectly conform to the size of the bun, is carefully placed on top of the meat, and then finally some swiss cheese cements the sweet vegetal microgreens atop. The bun is voluminous, especially noteworthy in height. The interior ingredients only reaches perhaps 1/3 the height of the bun, making it appear that the sandwich will be dry. But that's an impression soon deemed to be false, as there's more than enough moisture from the aioli and melted cheese to smooth things over. (4/5) I don't normally associate cafes, particularly ones that seem to lean more towards the drink side of things, to also serve good food. I'm pretty sure their secret menu is just drinks that don't fit into the other categories (or ran out of room for), because they had these same drinks on their menu ten years ago. For $7.44 (including tax), this was pretty pricey for a "healthified" matcha Frappucinno. I came here to try the hailey bieber dupe and was a bit disappointed. In addition to the strawberry glaze, I was also really interested in trying their matcha so we also got the Toasted MatchaMallow Latte. I thought the two components -- matcha and marshmellow would be a bit more intertwined given the name but they were just totally separate. It was just a toasted marshmellow on a stick stuck in the straw hole of the lid. The matcha was just normal matcha but really pasty. The smoothie was priced at $13 for 16 ounces which is kind of similar to the $20 for 20 ounces for the erewhon one in terms of price point but it wasn't as good. Aesthetic wise I also feel a bit lied to by the yelp pictures because there wasn't actually labels on the cup, only sleeves and the smoothie drink I got looked nothing like the pictures. The total for the two drinks was $22 so it was really pricey in my opinion. The chairs inside were also really uncomfortable. I don't think I will be back but anything is worth the try. read more

It's a quick service restaurant, why not just lock their doors and not take customers anymore if they want to close earlier? I don't understand this. Our biggest complaint is how long the drinks took to be made. There were two small parties of two, ahead of us, waiting for their orders. Even then, our drinks took close to 45 minutes before we finally ended up getting them. We debated on just cancelling our orders and leaving but glad we didn't. The coffee was actually really good and the pandan flavor complimented it without overtaking the roasty coffee taste. Honestly just wish it didn't take so long to make because we wanted to pop in and out as we normally don't come onto this side of town.

This is the largest Mercury's Coffee location in Washington. I've been to the Kirkland location, which is drive-thru only, but this café offers a completely different experience. A fun fact is that Mercury's headquarters is located right next door to this location. One of my favorite things is that many of their pastries are made fresh in-house, and you can actually watch the staff preparing them. Their croissants are always a great choice, and I also highly recommend their breakfast sandwiches. They even serve pizza if you're looking for something more filling. When it comes to drinks, Mercury's has some of my favorite organic coffee beverages. The Caramel Macchiato is my go-to and one of the best drinks on the menu. The café has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great place to meet up with friends, study, or get some work done. It's easily twice the size of the Redmond or Kirkland locations, so it feels much more spacious and comfortable. The staff are always friendly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the overall experience is consistently excellent. If you're in Bellevue and looking for a great local coffee shop with delicious food, fresh pastries, and plenty of space to relax, I would definitely recommend stopping by this Mercury's location.

Very disappointing experience…read more I stopped by around 4:00 p.m. with only 2-3 people in line, but two employees spent about 10 minutes chatting with a customer instead of helping those waiting. When it was finally my turn, I ordered one coffee, but although my card was charged, my order was never entered into the system. After waiting 10 minutes while several customers who ordered after me received their drinks, I went back to ask about it. Instead of apologizing, the cashier was rude and argumentative. I asked for a refund since I had to leave, but they accidentally charged my card a second time instead. Eventually, another employee tried to process the refund and told me to check my card in a couple of days. This isn't about $6--it's about poor customer service, lack of training, and no accountability. Mercury Coffee used to be much better. I hope management addresses these issues.

The people who work there are down to earth, really refreshing considering the influx of cafes that opened this past year that exude exclusive snob behavior- apologies for language. Anywho, they had flavors you certainly wouldn't find in your average third wave cafe which I have yet to try. I just wanted a simple matcha latte, and they delivered for sure. While there is Dote a few blocks down, I think people would also like Diwan and their unique selection. Oh, and I don't know what the fragrance is in the shop, it is noticeable but I found it pleasant! I'm not sure if it's a specific herb or spice, but it's almost... minty? Man, I don't know how to describe it but it's again very pleasant. Lastly, it seems like a nice place to study and do work. It's peaceful, with the workers chatting and music playing, it's cozy! I like it! I haven't had the need to do work at a cafe but I think this place would be a good option if you want a new study spot and happen to be in the area. Parking is a little iffy? As you can see in the pic I parked on the side of the road but sometimes the streets will be taken up which leaves you to park in the parking garage right next to the cafe, which unfortunately charges for parking past 15 minutes. If you don't mind paying, or think you can make it back to your car on time, then it's not that big of a deal. Either way, you could probably find another street to park on and walk to the cafe as this district is pretty walkable. Overall, love it!!! I hope the owner and workers continue to thrive with this business, this is certainly a refreshing addition to the coffee scene in the greater Seattle area.

It is such a special dessert and I have been wanting to find some in the area! $10 is a little pricey though (think a wedge the medium to large slice of pie). My friend loved her coffee drink!

This place used to be the old Tully's Coffee 20+ years ago and more recently Cypress Coffee, which it's closed its doors a couple of years ago. It's a great central location on the eastside, just off of I-90. The interior is modern, well-lit, and spacious. They have board games and plenty of tables for sitting, studying, and working. I would say 90% of people there at around 11am on a weekday had their laptops open and earphones in. The table I sat at could've been wiped off a bit better, but other than that, the bathrooms and interior were clean. Last Frontier features a seasonal menu which this summer includes a Mango Matcha, Blueberry Latte, and Butterfly Iced Tea. Outside of their seasonal menu, their menu is pretty standard, but they use a special coffee brand from Japan which I hope to try maybe in the future. They additionally serve a limited variety of pastries from Macrina Bakery. I ordered a regular ICED MATCHA ($6.75) with oat milk (+0.75). With tax and tip, my order came out to nearly $10, which is pretty steep even these days for a drink. I will say that the matcha had a nice gradient and color to it and that based on the color, they use high quality ceremonial matcha and not the cheap yellowish green matcha that many cafes use. However, it was somewhat watered down and did not have any microfoam at the top, indicating that the ratio of water to matcha was too high. Given that Last Frontier is more of a coffee shop than a matcha shop, this is to be expected. So I will say that while itt's not the best matcha out there, it's also not the worst I've had either; it's passable. Also, the drink came unsweetened by default I guess (which I personally prefer), but just putting it out there for those who are used to having sweetened matcha :) One qualm I have is that they don't have prices on their menu which I think should be transparent to customers. I also don't like how the keypad for tipping is so close to the register and facing flat up that the baristas see exactly how much you are tipping. Furthermore, I'm not a fan of shops who charge more for alternative milk. In my opinion, just because you are lactose intolerant, you shouldn't be charged more, but it seems remain a common cafe practice despite Starbucks removing the extra cost for plant milk from their menu. Overall: 3/5 for drinks, 3/5 for atmosphere, 3/5 for service
