I love this place very MATCHA! I ordered the Toast Flight! 10 outta 10 Also had the Banana Matcha Latte.. omg! I'm obsessed! There was a piece of banana brûlées on top as garnish and it was soo good. Also, 10 outta 10 Ordered a couple of other drinks for my daughter and niece. The staff was so nice and the place is cute for sure. Only regret is I'm only visiting so I won't be able to enjoy this more.

Glad to learn that there's a Matcha Magic in Redmond, a city I frequent. We were at the nearby Anderson Park, taking our dog on a walk and saw a lot of people outside the entrance of a retail space that was in an apartment building. Thus, we come to Matcha Magic. I've been to the one in Bellevue on Old Main, which I like. I like the drinks here, especially the different recipes. Is it my favorite matcha? No. And that is the case for my experience in Redmond as I tried the hojicha, which I personally like better than matcha, and it was good here, but not my favorite. I ordered the hojicha latte after seeing they serve different hojicha drinks, which didn't take long to get. The hojicha was fine, but could've been way stronger, with that roasted, bold flavor that hojicha is known for. Matcha Magic is not where to get hojicha if you like yours super strong like in Japan. However, the drink was still good with the oat milk. I likely would just stick to a matcha drink with some of their fun flavors, like the black sesame or earl grey one. Or one of their smoothies, which looked refreshing, especially for the summer. This location is great, with the open windows that look out to the park, baby pink aesthetics and a menu that's worth exploring. If nearby and in need of a yummy drink, I'll visit Matcha Magic.

PHENOMENAL matcha! Truly one of the best I've ever had! Came into Matcha Magic with a friend and got to try their classic Matcha Latte. It was perfectly semi-sweet, earthy, and had a good matcha to milk ratio. The service was decent for such a packed crowd - very nice to see the staff take their time to craft each drink in front of you. The ambiance is beautiful! With the half-inside half-outside storefront, it provides such a nice environment to catch up with a friend or get some work done. Will 100% be back!

This was a very tasty and refreshing matcha latte where the drinks were not overly sweet and still had the slightly bitter matcha taste. I personally liked the strawberry flavor the best as the slight fruity flavor complemented the match flavor. They hand whisk their matcha and make sure it's not grainy at all. I was happily surprised by how good they were!

I loved my ube matcha latte!! The ube and matcha flavors go really well together, matcha quality is really good and the sweetness was just right! My sister got the blueberry matcha, it tastes okay, I just don't really like fruit flavor and matcha go well together. The inside is really cute and tidy and service was friendly and quick! Cute cafe with lots of seating options. Saw a couple of people working there on their laptops with a matcha drink in hand. The staff were helpful in their recommendations and I got the matcha latte with spirulina. Tasty and pretty! I liked that they had booster options you could customize.

Matcha Magic has expanded from their original Bellevue location over to Redmond, and I'm happy to see this local business doing so well! I've visited this new location twice so far, and the service has been fantastic both times. The employees are very sweet and happy to answer any questions one may have about the menu. Each drink is crafted with care as the staff uses a traditional bamboo chasen to whisk the matcha by hand to prevent any clumps. Between the Bellevue and Redmond locations, I've ordered a different drink each time, and they have all been delicious. Most recently, I went with a classic STRAWBERRY MATCHA which tasted natural and was very well balanced. The strawberry purée actually had little seeds in it! With this drink, the only way to adjust the sweetness is to reduce the amount of purée, but I decided not to manipulate the proportions, and it turned out perfect. I've ordered strawberry matcha at other tea shops before and they ended up tasting like a strawberry milkshake, but that's not the case here! This one was quite refreshing and crisp. I could actually taste the matcha, while the strawberry enhanced it beautifully and the oatmilk pulled it all together without dominating the flavor. On a separate occasion, I tried their HORCHATA MATCHA. While this one is on the sweeter end, I still really enjoyed it! The sweet cinnamony horchata melds so nicely with the matcha; I never would have thought to combine the two. It's no wonder why this is one of their most popular drinks. Although I haven't tried one of their seasonal drinks yet, they sound amazing. They've had eggnog matcha, pumpkin matcha, and even a hojicha latte. I look forward to seeing what specials will be available in the future. As for accessibility, it's street parking only, so that can be tough depending on the time of day. The location itself is smaller than their Bellevue location with a more narrow seating area. However, one of their walls can roll up, making for a nice open-air environment during the dry months. Cheers to more matcha (and more magic) in 2026!

I came here on Wednesday. I want to try it out. I always passed here a couple times so I decide to come inside. It wasn't packed that much and I am not a big Matcha person cause it has caffeine so I don't mess with that all but they had other options like smoothies and toast, and I got the strawberry smoothie it has strawberry, banana, avocado, and even homemade almond milk and the price is not bad at all for $13 and the service was amazing as soon as they came in they asked me if I need any help or any recommendation. I will continue to come over here, especially for the smoothies. read more

I'm a newcomer to anything Matcha, and the young woman who helped me was gracious in answering all my questions. She recommended a Matcha latte and because of food issues, I ordered it with coconut milk, and because it was a warm morning, iced. Now I know why this beverage is popular! Fell in love with Matcha Magic! I got to stop in their location in Redmond and it was such a cute shop. The aesthetic was stunning inside and they had a good menu as well. Really great corner matcha cafe! I'm a big matcha fan and there's not many matcha dedicated spots in the area so I'm glad this place opened up. They have really great drinks with a lot of different selections that you can put in your drink like lions mane and other boosters. All their drinks are carefully made to taste great. The service was super friendly and the cafe has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors including large garage door windows so that you get fresh air inside. Would highly recommend this spot! read more

Great new addition to the east side! The berry magic smoothie I had had great consistency and was well-balanced. The matcha magic latte had a really strong matcha flavor and a vibrant green color. Love the variety of boosters you can add to any drink. Service was friendly, and I like the indoor-outdoor seating layout. Store was well-decorated too. We went in during their grand opening and decided to go with the best selling beverages: matcha banana and matcha horchata. Both were delicious and we love the interior of the cafe: pink and green themed tables/walls/chairs. Service was quick, line got shorter around noon. This is the cutest location! Sunny open space, and it's so gorgeous when the walls/windows are open I got a smoothie with added protein and blue spirulina. It was fantastic. Matcha Magic offers a wide variety of delicious drinks, cute ambiance, and incredibly personable and caring staff. So far, I've only tried purple rain and their seasonal eggnog matcha latte but both are very tasty! I have not tried any of their food but the photos online look delicious. Parking in this area can be a little tricky as it is limited to street parking so I've had to walk a block or 2 on more than one occasion (which can be a bummer when it's cold/rainy). Note that you absolutely cannot park in the adjacent parking lot. I accidentally did this the first time I came here because I admittedly misread the signage, and a woman immediately ran out from an adjacent business scolding me not to park there. I would be remiss if I did not note the many similarities with Cha Cha Matcha, a famous matcha chain in NY and LA. The color scheme, the drink offerings (although Matcha Magic has a wider variety), and the decor are all highly similar. I'm not sure if the owner did this on purpose but if you've been to both, the similarities are striking. That said, I've thoroughly enjoyed every experience I've had at Matcha Magic and will continue to be a frequent customer! read more

Such a cute shop and the barista helping me at the counter was so friendly and sweet. They have a menu outside the doors as well as a digital menu stand inside. Weird follow-up. When I went there, I genuinely loved the flavor of the matcha but the caffeine was off the charts, so I was meh. The avocado toast was also really mid. Not bad - just mid. I wrote a 5 star review and said I'd have to try their hojicha, since I remembered they had that. The owner replied here, thanking me and saying I definitely should try the low-caffeine hojicha. Clear as day. I went back. They don't have hojicha. It's matcha horchata. Which isn't a huge thing, except... why did the owner say they had it? That's super weird. I looked at their other stores to see if it was just a Redmond thing, but no - they only serve matcha. Hi caffeine matcha. So I wasted a 20 minute trip, which sucks. Their matcha flavors are great, still, but I'll warn people. It's really odd for a place to nuke people with caffeine without any sort of mention of that. If they were to fix that in the messaging, awesome. If they were to have a low-caffeine option (to subtly indicate the other options are not), awesome. Until then, :shrug: caveat emptor. read more

We ended up ordering the OG Matcha magic Matcha and a sacrilegious Matcha banana smoothie, which didn't have any Matcha. Both drinks were delicious and surprisingly not too sweet, which is perfect. I also love it when a shop goes all out with the decoration in this place. It definitely takes the wind out of the sails of other Matcha shops that don't really do much when it comes to the indoor environments. Sometimes, you can play a role in what the food tastes like, and this place definitely goes above and beyond. read more

The smoothie was ok, it was a little too liquidy for it to be a smoothie in my opinion but my kids love it so it's all good. I also got some mini chicken cones and that was standard. Price was a little high imo. The size of the smoothie was small for $9. Overall, it was ok, nothing special.

They also serve lunch from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM daily. I usually stock up on biscuits and teas. They also have a bakery case filled with pasties, hand pies, and tarts. Their tea pot selection is also decent and ideal for gift giving. I'm definitely returning for their lunch service at their cafe next door. Staff has always been friendly and quick to offer assistance. Prices are comparable to other specialty shops.

The staff are super patient, and will let you sample multiple flavors before making a choice. Really glad to have a location closer to home so that I don't have to keep making the trip to Kirkland anymore (though the Totem Lake location is pretty nice too).

Henry is undergoing treatment for cancer and chemotherapy, and Kodiak, our German Shepherd, has been battling IBD..
