Had a nice experience for date night on a Friday evening. We made a reservation for 7:45 but showed up at 8 - nobody answered the phone when I tried calling about being behind schedule. Waited about 15 minutes to be acknowledged by a barley existent hostess (the restaurant seemed very slow for a Friday night) and still nobody said hello so we went over to Seasons 52. They were on a 45 minute wait so back to matchbox for our reservation. At that time it was about 8:15 and hostess answered phone instead of saying hello. (Weird since they didn't answer the first three times I called) Finally sat down to eat. Service was surprisingly great after expecting it to be not so great. We both had the miso salmon, I asked for mine to be prepared medium and it was cooked perfectly. They give you a little too much of the honey sauce on the bottom of the plate but overall delicious and we were happy. My summer sangria tasted like a flat mimosa but didn't care enough to switch out my drink. Wanted to stay for the espresso brownie and pair with an espresso martini but they don't have espresso so we decided to skip it. Our server was fantastic and it's a shame she's stuck in an establishment that doesn't deserve her. Hope she finds somewhere better and hope you find hostesses that care about your guests! I came here with one of my girl friends on a Sunday during their brunch hours and let me tell you...it was sublime. I've actually been here a couple of times and plan on returning in the future without a doubt! The ambience and decorations are both quite impressive. I met my girlfriends here for dinner and drinks. Our waiter was cool and fun. We all ordered blackberry margaritas which were good. The calamari was meh. To be honest I had a hard time deciding what to eat because nothing really exciting jumped out at me. One of my friends decided to order the bbq ribs as her entree, which they were out of. It's one of the most disappointing things at a restaurant. My other friend ordered pizza and i had the filet mignon. It's actually one of the best tenderloins I've had. Perfectly cooked, cut like butter and was really flavorful. It was delicious and I wished I ordered the 8oz size. My girls all tried it and loved it too. We ordered the brownie bomb for desert along with a slice of cheesecake so we could all share. Brownie bomb was da bomb and the cheesecake we sent back in exchange for another brownie bomb. The cheesecake tasted like uncooked moldy flour. I hate cheesecake with flour. All in all it was decent. The menu wasn't inspiring but I'm glad I choose the filet. We took four friends from out of town to the restaurant last night. We have been there twice before and really liked it. The food was very good as usual but the service was terrible. The server seemed like he barely had time for us. We waited a long time for someone to come to our table. It was like a fly by every time he came by. He never asked if we were good and had everything we needed. Our waters were not refilled unless we flagged him down. I hope this was the exception and not the rule! read more

Went on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. Inside/outside both available, but ask for the seats on the fountain side or you'll be staring at the delivery alley if outside. Husband had Baby Back Ribs and thought them excellent. I ate his cole slaw which was delicious. I wasn't very impressed with my pizza, which was a very thin, limp crust with sparse and runny toppings. We were unable to get tea and Coke refills. The parking at the entire Sawgrass Mills complex is a marvel of flawed engineering, but it bodes well for all of the Valet Parking stands that surround the place. $13 a pop. Will avoid. read more

So me and my friend go to this restaurant on a Monday afternoon at 4 pm, it was dead. Nobody was there so how come even though I was the first person to order my food was never put in. I waited and waited for my food and when I got tired of waiting, I asked my waitress where was it (grated all I asked for was the basic margarita pizza) and all she could say was "oh sorry let me put that in for you" at this point I'm looking at her like you haven't put this in?! Matchbox is back! By that I mean the great food and service that made me love it in the first place. The bartenders are back and the drinks are professionally made again. Matchbox used to be my husband's and I favorite spot to get dinner. Nothing beat their spinach and artichoke dip that came with the fresh out of the oven bread bites. I would order the fall off the bone ribs and my husband the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. We would both get an order of cornbread that used to come in a cast iron. It was delicious. Over time, to keep up with demand they made some changes but the food stayed delicious. The corn bread didn't come in the cast iron anymore, but you still got a big, delicious slice. The spinach and artichoke dip was still awesome. About a year ago though, they made more changes to keep up with the demand and started to sacrifice the quality of their food. To start, they stopped serving the spinach and artichoke dip with the warm bread bites and now they do chips. This wasn't a big deal to me because you can just ask for the bread. However, those fall off the bone ribs, definitely don't fall off the bone. They are so chewy, some of the pieces feel like cartilage. That Nashville hot sandwich my husband loved so much, on more than one occasion, they have made that sandwich with chicken tenders. Now during this quarantine, my husband and I have ordered twice for pick up and both times we have been disappointed. When you order corn bread they now give you the smallest pieces and they are dry. They don't have that delicious butter they would put on top. Again, my husband got tenders for his sandwich and my ribs were burnt. They also forgot several orders of fries on each occasion. So I went to matchbox for the first time this evening and it wasn't horrible. The service was so so. The waiters were all congregating in the front like it was servers happy hour when we walked in and throughout the time I was there. My meal was ok. The chips for the spin dip were odd and a lil over fried in my opinion. My alfredo was pretty good. And the dessert menu WAS THE WORST! a classic brownie a cheesecake some mini donuts with coffee... just an extremely lacking menu! As a pastry chef I was highly disappointed! Also very pricey ... I do not feel like my meal was worth the 93 dollars i paid! 2 apps and 2 entrees. Just a ridiculous price. All in all it wasn't too bad but the dessert menu is the reason I decided to write this review! read more

I usually go to yard house for a quick Sunday beer but never again! First time here and it was awesome! They had a DJ playing jams outside and they had the games on! Could use a few more TVs outside, but still great atmosphere! As for the food, things were bit salty (got 2 different pasta plates and set of wings) but still very good. GET THE HANGOVER BURRITO. Mother's Day dinner 7pm. The service was top notch. Their dishes were very good. I ate the 6oz filet mignon with grilled asparagus and small red seasoned potatoes. It was delicious.! I also had the crab-avo for an appetizer. Crab meat should be whole pieces in a bowl not like tuna and it was not sweet tasting as crab meat is. When I first looked at it I said this isn't crab it looks like tuna! I did not like the taste so I didn't even touch it. Maybe the chef shredded the crab meat but it should have tasted like crab meat. I had a really nice mother's day with my son and partner we went Saturday nite to the Matchbox. First visit of many more to come. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food at this chain restaurant. Mark our waiter greeted us quickly upon being seated and we gave him our drink order while we looked over the menu. They have some awesome alc drinks @11 bucks, try the jalapeño cucumber margarita! We ordered two of the chorizo burgers with fries. Drinks took a little time but they were strong and well made. Soon after the burgers came out, both were still steaming hot, the menu states a 60/40 blend but they are served with 2 patties. One patty of beef and the other of chorizo. That system allows them to cook the meat patty they way you like it and not have to over cook it due to the chorizo. It was an awesome burger and the fries were nice and fresh( no heat lamp fries). Service by Mark was attentive and that made our meal even more enjoyable. These are gourmet burgers $14 each not bad for the quality and size. We stopped here before a concert at BBT on Saturday night. Place was Uber crowded, loud, and understaffed. Food was just average; Cobb salad, burger, salmon, and ribs were basic. Restaurant ran out of glassware, drinks tasted different each time and the food took way too long. Would never recommend this place to anyone. This place is lucky to have an endless supply of tourists who eat here and never return again. As a local we'll never return. This was probably one of the best casual places I've ate at. The atmosphere is so modern but yet casual and comfortable! We had Stephanie as a waitress as she was awesome! We started off with the Arancini as an app and it was delicious! The sauce was definitely homemade and fresh! We then got chicken Alfredo but subbed the chicken for shrimp and that was great! And the chicken pesto pizza and it was okay, I'm not a big pesto fan but I thought it would be different. After tasting their marina I would have loved to get a red sauce pizza!! Matchbox was the epitome of mediocre. The buffalo wings and sliders were good, but the pizza was subpar with a soggy crust. The drinks were good, but service was slow and inattentive (napkins that were requested never came, water wasn't refilled, etc.). Everything averages out to a giant ball of meh. read more

I was on Saturday 08/31/2019 night with my family and we had one of the worst customer service experience, in the end when we thought that at least my daughters were going to enjoy dessert the waiter put a plate with three spoons on the table and then After 15 minutes we realized that he had also forgotten to place the order a disaster. I recently went here on a Monday night for my birthday. This was my first time here and we were greeted in a nice way and our party was accommodated instantly. We ordered a few appetizers for a table. The spinach dip was phenomenal and it was everyone's favorite. We also had the calamari and the spicy meatball pizza. The pizza was delicious and wasn't too spicy. My cousin ordered the crab cake sandwich, but she said it was the best she's ever had. Other relatives got the 9 burger sliders one got onion straws and another French fries. It was a lot of food and would be a great appetizer for a big party. One of my cousins ask for his burgers to be well done and they were pink and had to be sent back to the kitchen 3 times. The waiter and her manager both apologized to my cousin for the inconvenience and the manager guaranteed it would be perfect and made the cooks make him a brand new meal and they had to open each individual burger to make sure it was well done. She also offered to buy him a free desert. They don't do any complicate birth deserts unless you sign up with their rewards program. They let me sign up right and the table and I received a free as well. Despite the one problem the manager had great customer service skills and was very professional in taking care of my Cousin's food problem. I ordered the shrimp linguini which was very good but it taste even better as leftovers. For desert we got The classic (brownies and ice cream) our table devoured it. Don't know if food was good or not...service was terrible or better said non-existent. Don't mind waiting ten minutes for a table, even though restaurant not full, but when no waiter comes for ten minutes when seated to get a drink order that is unacceptable. Hostess said they were short staffed when we grabbed her. Fair enough but good service or servers hustle. There was no hustle in anyone including managers helping serve. Poor management for sure.
