    Pumpkin martini

I visited Matt and Tony's for the first time recently and I was pretty impressed. I dined with a large group for dinner. Our server was very friendly. I was surprised she was able to be personable and still manage to have time to serve a large group. To drink I had a pumpkin hot toddy and a pumpkin martini. I thought the martini was quite nice. My friend loved the toddy. I thought it was a bit too lemony. For dinner I ordered the salmon blt. It may have been the best salmon sandwich I've had. It was delicious! I also enjoyed a mozzarella stick my friend let me try. I definitely plan on going again and trying more menu items!

Came prior to the Blue Jackets game, super cute place. Food; Ordered the special roast beef open face plate, the mashed potatoes were really good. I will be honest still not sure on the roast beef, I think I was envisioning something different. We did add cheese sticks, and they were delicious. Wine was crisp and delicious. Service was great, our waiter was friendly and funny.

What an awesome birthday brunch... The decor is kind of cool, they have big screens and lots of windows so the atmosphere is really great. Our waiter Tim was a rock star - he was one of the best waiters i have had at any restaurant. The big matt burger was delicious and the Cole slaw was a great side choice. Wifie had the cobb salad with grilled chicken which she absolutely loved. The chocolate cake was out of this world. This is really a great place for a meal.

Made a reservation before a show at the Athenaeum, due to the good reviews and walking distance. Took a few minutes of standing at host station to be greeted with a "Have you been helped yet?" from a bartender, with only a promise that someone would be there soon. Another four minutes and our hostess finally arrived, somehow surprised to see us... showing up at our reservation time. Once we were seated, service was pretty good. We saw our server enough, but it wasn't too often. Food was okay, but nothing spectacular. Oddly enough the appetizers were the highlight of my meal - jalapeno cheddar hush puppies - and even they were a little overdone. My wife had the mozzarella sticks and let me try a bite, they were good as well. The chimi burger was good, but I think I expected a bit more--it tasted like a regular burger with just a little bit of sauce. It's a cool space with good food, worth stopping by if you're in the area.

    M&T Salad

A Culinary Rollercoaster (That Occasionally Derailed) We kicked things off with the nacho appetizer, and honestly? Not bad at all. Crunchy, cheesy, and confident--like the restaurant wanted to impress us right out of the gate. It did. For a brief, glorious moment, hope was alive. Next came the M&T Salad, which continued the trend of "surprisingly decent." Fresh, crisp, and mercifully free of any weird surprises. It was the kind of salad that makes you feel virtuous without tasting like yard trimmings. Well played. Then came the General Tso's Chicken, which must've gotten the memo that it was General, because it led the charge into the desert of dryness. Paired with overcooked rice that could double as packing peanuts, it was a texture adventure I didn't sign up for. Then came the "filet"--or what I assume was supposed to be a filet. It was overcooked, suspiciously textured, and left me wondering if someone just labeled it "filet" for fun. If it was a filet, it was a distant cousin that got left out of the will. BUT--in the midst of this food-based identity crisis--we were lucky enough to have a waitress who absolutely crushed it. Friendly, attentive, and somehow managing to keep the whole table smiling despite the ups and downs coming out of the kitchen. And hey, silver lining: my son loved the spaghetti. My son demolished it with a joy I haven't seen since Saturday morning cartoons. If the kitchen cooked everything with the same love they put into the kids' pasta, this place would be unstoppable. In summary: strong start with the nachos and salad, a tragic middle act involving poultry and beef imposters, top-tier service, and a final act redeemed by a kid's menu classic. If you're under ten or just really into spaghetti, this place might be a five-star experience.

Mozzarella Sticks and Jalapeno Cheddar Hush Puppies

First time trying. Had mozzarella sticks and cheddar/jalapeño hush puppies and a pimento cheese burger with fries. Mozzarella sticks were AMAZING!! And the rest of the food was very good. Cheeseburger had regular cheese melted on it as well as the pimento cheese--very tasty! Will be back

When in Columbus, my fiancé and decided to stop by Matt and Tony's for a quick dinner before heading to OtherWorld for an adventure. We were very pleased by the jalapeño hush puppies. They were soft inside, crunchy on the outside, and when dipped into cheese sauce, they reminded us of jalapeño poppers. I enjoyed mine more without the sauce, though! This was truly the highlight of our meal. I ordered the Bistro Shrimp pasta dish which, while the shrimp was well-fried and breaded, the lemon sauce and pasta weren't much to talk about. I ate my shrimp with a little of the pasta and tomatoes, but I didn't want to take any pasta home with me. I wish I liked my razzlerita cocktail, but I wasn't really thrilled by the flavors. Though my server told me it was a sweet drink, it really wasn't. My fiancé liked his snakebite pasta, which wasn't bad, but had too much spice for me. The ambiance was nice with songs that we recognized from the 80s and 90s. However, despite having high hopes for this place, the food really wasn't all that good. We wouldn't return.

We were downtown at the Columbus Museum of Art and looking for somewhere to have lunch. As is my ususal MO, I checked Yelp for "burgers near me" and found Matt and Tony's Kitchen X Tavern. It was a short walk from the art museum and a a beautiful October day. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to dine on the patio in mid-October but the day was beautful and Matt and Tony's has a really nice patio. My wife ordered the Chimi Burger which is billed as "two smashed-cooked patties topped with Monterey Jack cheese, avocado mousse, caramelized onions, smoked bacon, and house-made chimichurri sauce on a butter-toasted bun". It was served with fries. My wife is not quite the burger freak that I am but she said the burger and the fries were excellent - quite a compliment from her. I opted for the Texas BB Burger which is billed as "two smash-cooked patties topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, homemade BBQ sauce, and hand-cut onion straws on a butter-toasted bun". It was also served with fries. Now - I AM a burger geek (or freak) and this was an excellent burger - definitely makes my "top ten" list for burgers. The fries were cooked perfectly - nice and crisp on the outside. Service was excellent, the prices were reasonable and we enjoyed a beautiful October afternoon on the patio.

This place is amazing. The mozzarella sticks - made in house - perfectly seasoned and delicious. Our server Tim- the best - funny, kind and so efficient. Claire the bartender with her mixology skills, made one of the best French 45's I've ever tasted. She also made a pretty spectacular Bloody Mary. The girl has skills for sure. This place should definitely be on your Columbus things to do list!

    Bread and butter fried pickles

Out for a few errands and the wife and I were both starving. We had planned to hit happy hour at Old Towne tavern, but it was 615 and the place was packed. We decided to check out Matt and Tony's based on reviews and who doesn't like a good burger and beer? Walked in, was greeted promptly and seated without a wait. They have a good local draft selection and a fairly large wine and cocktail menu. We started with the fried pickles (which are bread and butter) and I thought they were pretty good, but she prefers fried to be dill; agree to disagree. I ordered the Texas BBQ smash burger and she had the pimento smash burger; bitch are very good, but the pimento is quite messy! Tasty fries, but the ranch could be a bit thicker for dipping. All in all, I'll be back and hope you will give them a chance. Matt and Tony's, you're Mike Jones certified!

The name and menu have changed but this is still an excellent place for dining and drinks. They have a great and reasonably priced wine selection and some nice bourbons as well. The food menu offers a a lot of variety. I ended up going with the burrito and it was filling and very good and priced well. Service is excellent. The space itself has a cozy feel and plenty of seating. It is a little chilly inside so I wore my coat for my entire meal but I liked the decor and the setup. Parking is limited but there are meters nearby. Overall, an excellent place for dinner.

We came here a few times when it was another brand. Similar menu, same look. We had soup and salad and chicken salad with a side salad. Ok stuff. We had service issues. We expressed our concerns to the server, who pretty much didn't care, and to the manager who was apologetic in a condescending way. Not a good look for either. Bathrooms were edging towards horrendous. With so many choices in the general area, maybe we'll be back, maybe not.

To start, we ordered at 6:27, our Door Dasher picked up the food at 6:36, but it wasn't delivered until 8:57... Completely unacceptable. Granted the extremely late delivery wasn't the restaurant's fault (necessarily)... However, because they use Door Dash for delivery, they're ultimately responsible by proxy. Add in that the delivery driver spoke no English, tried to kick our English Staffy who ran out whilst smiling to say "hi" (if you know anything about Staffy's, you know they love people and don't have a mean bone in their body), our food was cold because it was delivered 1.5 hours late, and I was about to lose my flipping mind. Now onto the food... These were quite honestly some of the worst subs we've ever had. Subway is miles ahead of this hot garbage, and it's not remotely close. The food was $50 for two puny half filled subs, inedible coleslaw (absolutely disgusting), a pickle, and a GF cookie (that was not delivered). Now onto the really bad part... Within 30 minutes of eating this trash, both my wife and I had to run for the toilet (I'll leave it at that). Bottom line... Screw this place. PS - If I ever run into Cosmic Dave, he's going to get a piece of my mind for charging people $ for this crap.

It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Additionally, having had a Goodman's Deli mile high corned beef sandwich when I lived in Cleveland, I had even higher expectations. Their most popular sandwich is the Reuben so I went with that. Katzingers did not meet them. When I arrived to pick up my sandwich I was shocked the line wasn't out the door to place orders before they closed and the dining room had maybe 6 people in it. There were about 6 to go bags on the shelf along with mine. When I mentioned to the cashier that I was surprised it wasn't busier, she said it'll be busier tomorrow. I said the day after St Pat's? No answer. Another not good sign in my mind. When I got home, the wrapped sandwich was bigger than my hand but not very tall. The paper had areas of grease which is a good sign for this sandwich. The corned beef itself was tender but there wasn't as much of it, maybe an inch high and 1/3 of the bread had no corned beef. I also could not taste the thousand island dressing. The rye bread was toasted but pretty soggy. The crust was mostly crunchy. The bread slices were paired upside down putting a narrower side a larger side against each other. There is not enough sauerkraut and it is not very sour. I was given the choice of a dill or garlic pickle but I cannot tell you how it was because they didn't put it in the bag.
