    The view

Everything is pre cooked, no cash taken here. Cashier was not happy. It came in a timely fashion The location is fabulous The view of whales jumping beautiful birds.

Okay, hear me out. The views were amazing BUT the açaí bow I got had hardly any smoothie at the bottom of the bowl. It felt like I was just eating fruit in a cup with granola it didn't have the creamy smooth part of an açaí bowl. If I'm spending $18 for a good açaí bowl you better preform. The service was very good, both women working were super bubbly and engaged in conversation we had. I'm just overall under whelmed with the bowl. I need more smoothie so maybe try switching to bigger cups??

This was a little food stall at the Wailea Beach Resort. I stopped there several times in the morning after my walk to get something for breakfast and did lunch there a couple times as well. They do a very nice acai bowl that I had multiple times. Lots a great fresh fruit on it. They also make a very nice banana bread that I had a couple of times. For lunch, I had their caprese sandwich one day and their margherita flat bread another day. Both were tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. A nice location oceanfront.

Decent beach food stand with tasty smoothies. Their bahn mi was surprisingly good for a place that doesn't necessarily specialize in Vietnamese food. Definitely a filling treat if you find yourself at in the Wailea area, but you're probably better off bringing your own stuff. $30 for charcuterie? Yikes. I didn't get it but my kid nephew did and it was at least worth $10 worth of meat and cheese from your local grocery store.

We walked by on along the beach and had never gotten any Acai bowls in the area, and heard you should try acai bowls in Haiwaii, so we decided to give it a try. Although I only had one thing from them, it was ok. Nothing really special. To me it wasn't enough acai, and it was hella expensive for $16 for just all fruit and a few sprinkles of granola. I can't say what their other food tastes like. But acai bowl not worth it.

Açaí bowl. Filled with tons of granola on bottom

It's pricey but it's also tasty! The breakfast sandwich was quite yummy, the flu kicker juice was just the right amount of ginger and fruit juice. The açaí bowl was more expensive than anywhere else I've been to, and a bit lacking on the actual smoothie amount, but it's a resort bar so I kind of expected over priced yet tasty dishes. It's great to stop by on your sunrise stroll though so you've just gotta do it.

It is a nice little joint facing the beautiful Pacific Ocean. We got the flatbread and the chicken sandwich. The flatbread was good just would have been better if crust was a bit crispier. The sandwich was just too messy and hard to eat. Very nice employees.

Listen when you're sitting there staring out at the sunset, it's hard to not feel good but then you get a Mai Tai and some fresh flat bread. You're going to have a good time, that's what whale tale was about. Incredible location and solid food. We had their flat bread, smoothies and Mai Tais on a couple of nights that we were there and the food was good not spectacular if a bit pricey but that's the location.

    Perfect beach side tacos!

What a perfect spot for beach side tacos! My husband and I were staying at Hotel Wailea up the street and some locals suggested that this was a great spot for lunch. It was a lovely walk from our beach spot to the restaurant. We ordered the nachos and fish tacos - absolutely delicious! The outside area was beautiful, the view could not be beat and the price was perfect. We walked back along the beach to our chairs for a nap. It was really the perfect amount of food for two people and just far enough away to get the blood moving after laying around.

    What to try ..

Best place to grab a healthy breakfast. We loved the Açaí berries and fresh juices. Top notch service. We almost could not resist our temptation to get the Whale's tale juice and Açaí bowl at this place. The lines were long but we cared the least.

It's a cute little stand just past the lobby on the right. easy to access whether you're staying at the resort or just stopping by. The menu is simple and straightforward, offering classic matcha drinks along with a few signature options. We tried the Honey Lavender and the Honey Cinnamon, and both were really good. The Honey Lavender stood out--it had a sweet, floral flavor that blended with the matcha in a way that oddly reminded me of Fruity Pebbles (in a good way!). The Honey Cinnamon was tasty too, though the cinnamon was a bit overpowering and took over most of the drink's flavor. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, which made the experience even better. I'd definitely recommend anyone staying at the resort to give it a try and locals should stop by too if you're in the area and craving a solid matcha.

While I have been to a couple of other Kraken locations before, including the day before, this one was different as it was an actual storefront in a strip mall instead of a food truck. They also sell shave ice here. With it being a storefront, they had a decent amount of seating along with a clear ordering area. For my coffee on this morning I went with a large Surf's Up cold brew, which the menu described as coconut mac nut with a sweet foam topper. Since I had run 17 miles earlier in the day, I was also hungry and their jalapeño cheddar bagel caught my eye, so I ordered one of those as well. It did not take long before I had both my drink and food and was headed back to my car. As soon as I got in, I dug in. When I first opened the bagel it looked a little overdone, but there was no bitterness from the darker parts and it actually ended up being cooked perfectly. As for the coffee, I could not get enough of it. The coconut mac nut cold brew was strong with a bit of earthiness from the mac nut and some sweetness from the coconut. The sweet foam was the real standout though as I loved both the texture and the added sweetness. Paired with the bold coffee, it worked really well and I finished it quickly. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my bagel and coffee were good and I would also be interested in trying their shave ice next time.

In the back, you will find a food court with endless options, whether you grab what is already laid out or order fresh off the menu. Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. It might be a bit more on the expensive side depending on what you get, but it is pretty in line with the rest of Hawaii's pricing. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I was already doing the math and thinking , "Eh, we might be here awhile." But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.
