Mike (the service advisor at the Webster location) is not one of those mechanics. He is honest and transparent about his work, and he will go the extra mile to make sure everything is fixed and ready to go. I had a thumping noise issue that was affecting my car for weeks, and one Firestone location made repairs but not the right ones to remove the noise - and they also refused to look at the car any further. Thankfully Mike at the Webster location made sure he inspected the car in full (which the other location didn't do), and he was able to locate the cause - a rusted-out rear parking brake. Despite a delay in getting parts, once he received them, Mike made sure the work was done right away. He also drove the car to make sure the noise was gone. When I picked it up, I didn't hear the noise either. If you're in a pinch for repairs and you're in or near Webster, I would recommend visiting the Ridge Road location - and I hope Mike is your advisor. A consumer expects a degree of similitude in pricing. Never again- Firestone has lost all credibility. In addition, after calling Firestone Corporate, the customer service representative informed me that this Firestone location would not provide a quote for the service in question. Understandable -- sort of- not completely though. Now- this is the puzzling part- the neighboring Firestone Service Center was able to provide a quote of $75.00 for the service. This is in alignment with Kia DEALERSHIP's quote. Takeaway- There is nothing to be explained away-- here. Less than 17,000 miles later, my front tires had cords showing on the inside, and the rear tires were nearly bald. These tires were rated for 40,000-50,000 miles and were completely destroyed in under half that time. This was caused by a bad alignment done by Mavis. Their own employees acknowledged the uneven wear and confirmed the alignment was clearly off. I was also told by both a front desk employee and a mechanic that I was "sold a sh*t tire that doesn't belong on a full-size truck," which is unbelievable to hear after paying for new tires from a professional shop. Despite acknowledging the issue, they refused to take responsibility without the store manager's approval. The store manager, Ryan, told me he would contact corporate and promised an update by the end of the week. He never called. I had to repeatedly follow up, only to be told there was "no answer yet." Before any resolution was reached, one of the failing front tires blew out while I was driving to work, leaving me stranded on the side of the road with no drivable vehicle and no way to earn income. As a result of the unsafe condition of these tires, my truck later slid off the road and ended up in a ditch, where I was stuck for over six hours and missed an entire day of work. At that point, this situation had gone far beyond inconvenience and became a serious safety issue. After all of this, corporate's solution was to offer 25% off another set of tires, meaning I'm expected to pay again after only getting about 43% of the tire life I paid for, and I would still have to pay for another alignment--despite them acknowledging the original alignment was bad. To make matters worse, Mavis tried to blame the failure on "lack of tire rotation" and claimed vehicles should be realigned every 3-6 months, which is completely unrealistic and clearly an excuse to avoid accountability. No missed rotation causes cords to show or tires to fail this catastrophically in under 17,000 miles. I gave this shop every opportunity to do the right thing. Instead, I was ignored, misled, and left with hundreds of dollars in losses and a vehicle I no longer felt safe driving. If you value your safety, your money, or a shop that stands behind its work, do not go to Mavis Discount Tire in Newark.

I watched him diagnose my problem in 45 seconds by attaching a jump pack to the fuse panel. the car started and it turned out to be the wires connecting the battery to the system were bad. cannot stress enough: the grease monkeys at seasonall are useless. are they dumb or do they have no pride in their job?
