A friend recommended mavis tires to me for an oil change that I needed badly, as I was overdue. While shopping in the area, I gave them a call and asked about the wait time and was told approx 30+ minutes, depending on my arrival time. It is a bit confusing on where the entrance is to drive through depending on which side of the street you are on. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable but be prepared to wait even if you have an appointment scheduled. The benefit is that while you wait they have cable tv in the waiting area with a decent amount of seating and there are many stores within walking distance to help the time go by. We had to take time out of three weekends before they finally listened to us and made the effort to examine the set of tires that were installed. Defective tires that could not be balanced, vehicle shaking was brushed off as normal or because it was a big tire. they suggested a different brand and promised a discount on installation face to face but when calling back with the card number to credit, we were told no discount would be given. Come to find out they broke two consecutive lug bolts on one hub and used JB Weld to fix them. Incredibly dangerous, laziness and their unprofessional methods could have cost lives. Unreal. Never, ever again. Save your money and possibly your life, go somewhere else. read more

Brought my car in on a very slow day. Guys just hanging around. I had bought 2tires a few months before and one was making a slapping sound. I told the guy behind the counter I wanted the tire checked for balancing. One guy took it for a test drive. After a half hour of waiting I went to the desk and asked them to call the guy to bring my car back. 5 minutes later he pulls in and puts the car on a lift. Now the guy from the counter goes out and there are 2 looking around under the car. I had enough at that point and went out in the bay and told them I needed the car. He mentioned to me did I have some where to go. I said I did and it should not have taken that long to do a test drive. He mentioned that the guy who took it for a test drive said he got stuck at a construction site. I drove from one exit to the next on route3 no construction. Brought my car for an alignment, didn't do anything and still charged me $159.99. I bought 4 new tires in Aug 2023 at the Nashua location. I chose the tires on line and Mavis called and said the tires were in and to call if I would like to reschedule my appointment for an earlier date. I called and did just that. They charge you $25 when you schedule your appointment for a down payment. The appointment went fine, but they called me while I was waiting and told me I needed brakes. I told them I just got brakes a year earlier so I declined. I brought my car to my mechanic to check the brakes and he said the brakes were fine...so buyer beware. Also, the person who changed my appointment, never cancelled my old appointment, so they charged me the $25 down payment twice. read more

I came directly to Mavis from the Hyundai dealership. ROBERTO and his team were incredible. I was received with validation of my concern and complaint. Initially I had only made an appointment for 2 new tires. upon arrival (after leaving Hyundai) I had safety sensor lights illuminated on the dash and concerns about needing a new battery. Without hesitation Roberto said they would look at these issues and update me before doing the work. Roberto showed me the issues, gave a great explanation and was patient with answering questions I had. Could not be more upset about the service here, it's just incredible the lack of professionalism. My wife made an appointment for an oil change, balance wheels because there out of balance and check two of the tires for leaks as they are low (I believe the valve stems are leaking). She goes to pickup the car and the guy at the front desk said they only did the oil change, didn't have time to find the key lock for the wheels (they were the last to use it and didn't put back). Sent a mother off with the low tire warning light, didn't have the courtesy to fill up the tires. Never put a new oil sticker in the car, and a day later the low washer fluid light came on which means they didn't even top off fluids. at this point I'm not even convinced they even did the oil change! Incompetence! I scheduled an appointment at 9:00AM, when I arrived I was told that nobody was around and won't be in until 10:00AM. Why allow the schedule of an appointment if you don't bother ensuring staff is around? Then at 10:00AM, I get told that the tires I ordered are not here (although available online when I had made the appointment), since they're "on the truck". I guess I'll just wait around all day! Also - very little mask wearing for employees. Not a good look. Shop elsewhere for your tires. read more

They had the best prices and while the "extras" were more expensive, out the door 4 tires (that I wanted, I didn't shop other brands/models), installed, with an alignment was cheaper than anyone else. They were off on the timing, telling me the tires would be there by 11:30am but when I dropped off the car at 3pm they said they just got the tires in. I also don't know if it was ready at the quoted time because I picked it up over 4 hours later. Still, I was dropping off the car and picking it up later so that didn't matter to me. It was nice that they were open until 8pm that day which made it more flexible for me. The following day I happen to be going to Home Depot so I quickly stopped by for the 25 mile torque check and they came out and did it right away, which was also a plus. Everyone was very professional and the manager, Mike, gave me his name and said to contact him if I had any questions or problems. I'll likely do business with them again. read more

They charged me for TPM service which was never performed. they try to get me for a battery which was only 3 months old. then they tried to get me for brakes that were 6 months old. Incompetence!!!! I went to Mavis today for a scheduled alignment for my truck as I just put new wheels and tires on it. Had to wait around for 2 hours after my scheduled time only for them to put my truck on the lift for all of 5 minutes then take it down. The boss said my ball joints and tire rod ends are bad so it would be pointless to do the alignment and then asked if I would like to have them replaced here and if not then come back after it's replaced to have an alignment done. I knew right away this was sketch as I had bought the truck recently and had everything fully gone over by a trusted mechanic. As I was leaving one of their employees flagged me down asking if the boss had recommended their Amherst st location in Nashua. I explained to him that he did not and told me my ball joint and tire rods were bad. The employee said that was not true and that the only reason they did not do the alignment was because my tires were too wide for their narrow lift and that their other location had a bigger lift. Meaning the boss lied to me and tried to scam me out of replacing ball joints and tire rod ends.....and then have an alignment which they don't have the ability to to begin with do to the small lift!!!!!! Only to add insult to injury, when I got home I noticed that whoever was in my truck left a Red Bull and another customers car keys in my cup holder!!!!! So another customer did not have their car keys. So I had to drive back up to give them back as I did not want someone to be stranded without their keys. My car went in for 4 new tires and alignment well that nite I drove it home and felt like I was in a paint Shaker so I called them they looked at it and said everything checks out to call your mechanic so I did Andre told me all 4 tires were defective and my alignment was off so I had them do the workbe because I didn't trust Mavis to do the work! I contacted corporate and they had a regional man felix reach out to me well they told me I'm on my own on this on! I work at NBC10 Boston and I'm have this forward to our investigation team and it's a story they said because I have all the paperwork for it! If anyone has been screwed by Mavis plz call my work cell at 7881-923-2282 and I will help you the best I can or refer you to the investigation team! You will see this aired for a week straight and also in the Boston herald too! If nothing comes out of it at least I'll make people 2 guess going there!
