I went to this location and the same thing that happened to a previous customer happened to me that the car did not pass inspection due to factory window tint, even though they're totally legal, I had it checked by two other window tint shops and police officer, and they said that its legal. But I didn't want to fight it, I ended up paying to take them off just to avoid arguing. read more

My wife brought my car in while I was at work because I was due for one. Turns out there was an oil leak and instead of charging us for the service we requested originally, they helped us out and recommended some places to take the vehicle to get it serviced and topped off the oil so that the car was safe to drive. Only charged for the top off of oil which is a very small amount. They were very professional and were able to help out my wife with all the questions she had. I had a good experience getting a state inspection here. There was a 90 minute wait, which the person who greeted me when I drove up disclosed right away. Since it was the 2nd to last day of the month, I was not surprised. They had me park in a parking space and eventually had me queue up just outside the bay when my turn was next. The inspection itself was no muss no fuss. This was good because I had had another mechanic perform exhaust work and look the vehicle over for any other issues before going to Valvoline for the inspection sticker. The technician guided me as I drove into the inspection bay, then escorted me to the waiting room. He then escorted me back to my vehicle after about a half hour and the new sticker was on. I paid via credit card at the computer station next to the vehicle in the bay and got an emailed receipt. read more

I drove over 30 minutes and arrived at 5pm, which is well before the posted closing time of 7pm. Both inspection bays were open but I was told they were not able to perform the inspection. This service should not be listed on their website if they do not have the capability to perform it. If potential customers need to call to see if they can actually perform a service they claim to offer, they should post that information on their website. read more

I've been doing my own oil changes for the past 6 years and I'm always hesitant on bringing it to these "quick technician teams". This was honestly the quickest and most efficient oil change I've ever experienced (in a pinch) and at 6 o'clock at night, after work. Honest, thorough, and in and out within probably 7-8 minutes. I have come to this facility several times, they are always fantastic! I've had some nightmare visits, at other places; Valvolines, Jiffy Lubes, etc., but these guys are always good, and honest. Went by to get an inspection. The guy immediately tells me I won't pass. I ask for what reason and he states the aftermarket tint. I explain there is no aftermarket tint (I know because I bought my Jeep brand new off the lot). It is a factory tint. He keeps telling me that it won't pass. Then proceeds to tell me that it'll be an hour before they can get it in. I respond to that by laughing and saying I'm not going to stay if they're just going to fail it. FYI, looked up NH tint laws on DMV. 70% is allowed which is exactly what my factory tint is. read more

I went to valvoline on 504 amherst st in nashua nh, I've used valvoline for 10 years with about a dozen vehicles. Today my 2005 ford focus was running rough. The mechanical geniuses at this location diagnosed it was a timing chain issue and (I'm not kidding refused to do an oil change) #@$% morons, and the site manager made the call. .absolute genius. What does an oil change have to do with a car running rough? Good news I went down the street to JIIFY LOBE, they put a piece of duct on a vacuum leak and guess what the car ran fine, the want to be mechanics at valvoline were wrong, oh my what a surprise. Go to JIFFY LUBE if you're in the nashua area. The guys at Valvloline at this location are clowns. I've dealt with hooksett, manchester etc, they are good. Good luck people.​ read more

Been going here for years. Solid, quick service. If you need an oil change on the fly, this is the a good place to go. The only thing I don't like is that they always try to up-sell you on varying things based on mileage, which is fine, but sometimes I wish you could just say "I'm good, please don't try to sell me a new air filter today." Good prompt service though. Waiting room is super minimal, so if you really need to wait on something, bring a book lol. read more

Never again. 1) They did not torque my lug nuts to the 76 foot pound Toyota specification after inspecting the brakes. I found some nuts were torqued too high while others were too low, a safety hazard. 2) They also failed the car for having worn rear brake shoes even after I showed them a picture of the thinnest part of the brake shoe measured with calipers as being more than twice the legal minimum 2/32" thickness. They use a less precise measuring device that they claim is prevalent in the industry. They claimed once the vehicle is entered into the state system as failed, the report cannot be changed and the brake shoes must be replaced to pass. read more

My husband and I were in the area (an hour out from our house in Saugus) and looked around for an oil change spot. Valvoline had good reviews and was about 15 minutes away. Pulled up and we were able to get in and out within 15 minutes for a full oil change. Loved that the guys weren't over the top and down our throats with extra services but did share system recommendations and a print out of them. Ryan serviced us but all the guys seemed cool there! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area or if you're like us and realized you've been at 0 % for a while and don't want to risk anything. Caveat Emptor I stopped there for an oil change and transmission fluid change; my first time in a Valvoline. When I inquired about the price of the transmission fluid change, I was quoted $149.99 for just the transmission work. I was shocked that it was so much so I clearly asked him to repeat the price, if that was the cheapest option and to explain what the work consisted of. The work was just to remove the fluid and add new fluid, that is, no fancy flushing or other extras and it would take just 10 minutes. This sounded like way too much for that type of service which I confirmed by looking in my maintenance journal for the last transmission fluid change from another quick lube type of place, which also included new air filter and oil change, and all of that was just $110. While sitting in the car (I liked that feature of their service), I called my mechanic and he said he normally charges $65 for that type of work. Valvoline wanted more than twice that. I told them no thanks and opted for the $39.99 oil change. I understand a business wanting to make money but their prices for the fluid change were way out of the norm (which is within their rights to charge whatever they want) and I felt that if I didn't know any better, I would have overpaid significantly. That left me with a bad feeling and I vow never to have service done with Valvoline again...so yes, it is caveat emptor for me but I am also letting my dollars do the talking for me. read more

I visited Valvoline for an oil and transmission fluid change. The transmission cap plug broke when it was removed during the service. The manager, Ray, arranged for a new part to be delivered. He arranged for me to be dropped off at home, had the car part replaced on the same day, and completed the oil change and a tire rotation, free of charge. Great customer service. read more

The service is not bad but they need to have more than one person that can do inspections it's BS when you sit here for an hour and a half with one person doing a line of inspections and everybody else that works. there isn't an option to give you zero stars or else I would broke my wheel lock key during my inspection never said a word to me about it, and told me to get the item that was failed fixed and come back and get a reinspection. This is fine except the fact that I can't get my wheels off because they broke the wheel lock key and the manager was rude about. It laughed in my face and told me they would not have done something like that and this is my problem not his. would not recommend this location for even so much of the lawnmower. read more

Brought car in for inspection they failed it for a washer fluid pump. Had pump fixed, brought it in again and they failed it for brakes and power windows. Had those fixed and brought in again and they failed it for a leaky seal in the muffler. Three different inspectors, three different diagnoses. They apparently inspect cars based on whatever mood they happen to be in that day. These repairs were expensive and I probably would have gotten a new car if they had done it right the first time. Instead, it dragged out for months and cost me $1200. Never using them again, for anything. read more

Even though I had to go somewhere else I like that they where honest with me rather then trying to break my car with the wrong tools I would reccomend them anytime! Can't Be Trusted I used to visit regularly out of convenience, the result of my last trip cost me $400 with Audi and unknown damage to the transmission. It was determined by Audi that someone had attempted to loosen the sealed transmission fluid. The valvoline manager couldn't even point out where the oil drain vs the transmission was. This months after the service and only discovered with dangerously unpredictive transmission issues while driving. Only Valvoline and Audi worked on the car. The final visit took 45 minutes and they said they couldn't service it, screwed up re-attaching the engine cover underneath and from the tampering, transmission fluid was half what it needed to be. They at first were supportive didn't stand up to take responsibility. This could cost upwards of $4k to fix over time. Incompetence is one thing, character is another, and whoever the idiot was, didn't raise his/her hand when it happened, and the manager didn't have the courage do the right thing, when it was patently obvious. I was then reminded of a year or so prior with my F-150 (simple common pick up truck) - had an oil change and a few other recommended services. Drove off and on an exit ramp that truck stalled, couldn't be restarted, then would restart and stall. They did the right then and got it back and running but again, someone screwed up in the pit. Kid Tried to sell me synthetic oil over and over again when I know full well I don't need it. Got me for wipers for a state inspection. My old wipers worked better than the ones they put on! Said wipers were $13 more but they were $28. Then they stripped my oil drain bolt and seemed happy about that. Won't go back. Ever. And you shouldn't either. read more

I had an oil change in the Nashua, NH location and have never been treated so poorly by a member of their team. Corey is in serious need of customer service training. He treated me as if I were stupid, talked down to me and was a condescending know-it-all. After his rude treatment, he continued to talk about me with other team members who thought it was amusing while Frank the CSR ignored them all. On my way out, Joey, another technician, told me to just ignore Corey, so I assume he must treat people this way all the time. Corey needs to contain his anger and contempt for the public and should not be in a customer-service type position. read more

I choose to go out of my way to keep coming back to this place. At some of the other Valvolines, they try to sell you really hard on $20 wipers and air filters. Not here. If you say you don't want them, you're done. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. I can't remember the guy's name, but he has a huge beard, and he's awesome! The Yelp coupon is usually better than the generic coupons. I saved $7 instead of $5. read more

These people should be embarrassed. Paid for a cabin air filter a year ago. Apparently on this latest oil change and service check, the tech says there is no cabin air filter at all. When I explained to him, showing him the records, that Valvoline was the only company to touch this car in all my years of ownership he says he can guarantee it wouldn't leave the shop without a filter. Well, I didn't take it out myself so where does that leave us. The manager, Rob, can't check the tape because it was over a year ago. He won't give me one for free because he's sure it wasn't them. I'm a tile guy, not a car guy. I don't go around taking air filters out. The only other people who would ever have opportunity would be Valvoline. Terrible customer service. Considering calling a lawyer if there is commensurate damage. Will never go to a Valvoline again. Just terrible. read more

Won't ever go back. The ding dongs here put an oil defuser into the engine of my Audi A4 costing me almost $2,000 worth of repairs. They were "kind enough" to give me $300.. they only gave me that amount because Audi had taken apart my engine so Valvoline couldn't "say 100% for sure it was them." MY ODOMETER HAD 2 MORE MILES ON IT FROM WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN!!! That's not a coincidence that I went in for an oil change and the oil defuser fell into my engine eating internal parts. I've used the facility before for oil changes without an issue, but a week ago I stopped in to get my 09 BMW x3 inspected. The car had no issues, no warning lights on, and no check engine. I was there not 15 minutes, they come in and tell me the computer port is not working? So they cant inspect it. I get in to leave and the check engine light is on? I take it to Tully next morning and it's been there a week, granted no appointment, but they are saying there is an issue in gas system? I will not go there again! Went there in July for an inspection. They failed me for not having cats in my car for my exhaust. I went to ford down the road and got it inspected literally directly after. They put it up on the lift and showed me the cats( that I knew were there). Also, I have a picture of it. Tried to make me come back in so they could "look at it" again. Not a chance... couldn't even wipe their greasy hand print off my car. They left me a voicemail trying to say they will call the state of New Hampshire If "they" deem it illegal. Let's not make stuff up. Sucks to be out of 50 bucks for a sticker. Thought this place was quality. Oh well. read more

I went here for an AC recharge, paid $140 and the next day, my AC didn't work. I brought my car back and was quickly informed that my compressor was shot. I find it difficult to believe that they could not have known this when they charged me $140 the week before. They suggested I go to my dealer and come back when I need freon and they would refill it for free. However if my dealer fixes the compressor I anticipate I will probably not need freon for the remainder of the life of my vehicle. So I'm out $140 and still have no AC. I will not be returning to this Valvoline. read more

Used this location for an oil change and to replace one of my front headlights. I had three associates working on my car. All was well, till I got home that night and discovered that the headlight they replaced was not working. I called the location the next day and was told to jiggle the connection and it should work. When I got into the area to do what that told me I discovered that they had broken the plastic connector that holds the bulb in place. I left it, not working, and went back to the location when I was able. I live quite a few miles away so I wasn't able to get there right away. When I was able to get there, they remembered my phone call about the issue. When they looked into it. I even gave them the broken plastic piece that came off, the tech/ manager said "it takes a lot to break they piece". The response after looking into it was " It's an electrical problem."and they they weren't equipped so do anything about it. I needed to bring it to a mechanic. When I brought up the fact that they had replaced the bulb and there was no issue, nor did they till me there was in issue with the plastic connector when they replaced the bulb. I got nothing other than an shrug, a look, and a sorry like it was my fault. I was on my own to fix what has now become my problem. They didn't offer a credit for the bulb that now doesn't work, they put the non-working bulb back in and sent me on my way. Unhappy, unsatisfied, and feeling like I went to a garage that isn't capable of providing proper customer service when they make an error. They just want In and out service, and are not interested in making an issue right for the customer when they created the new problem. Bad form!!! A simple bulb replacement has now turned into a bigger expense for me and more time for me to correct the issue they created. read more

This place is pretty good. The staff is friendly and you can get an oil change in under 15 minutes w/o getting out of your car. It's expensive depending on what oil you use, I think I pay around $90 per oil change but I'm sure you can get a $30 or $40 option as well. They offer some kind of engine warranty if you get your oil changed there every 3k miles. And they do top offs in between changes for free. read more
