Went to Mavis in Smyrna ( 2195 Cobb Pkwy ). I needed a new battery. They quoted a price of $219 for a 2 year warranty battery + $300 FOR LABOR! Never heard of such a crazy price! Went down the road to O'Reilly Auto Parts & had a 4 year warranty battery installed in 15 minutes for $264 TOTAL. The manager said that if i went to the Mercedes dealership it would be $700. Just called RBM & the drive out price is $335. BEWARE !!! read more

Scam Alert!!! Beware of this location!!! I went in to get a screw removed and patched. I had already located the screw head and showed them where it was. I gave them my car keys to fix it and they came back and said, "There is another nail right next to the screw and we can't patch a tire with two holes so close. We have to replace the tire." The service here is horrible. The young girl at the front desk was extremely rude. I was treated like the idiot when I asked for a particular oil filter when she was the one who didn't know she could special order the part. I don't think anything else was checked on the vehicle during the oil change. Not to mention they are so extremely expensive for an oil change and tire rotation. I watched her take care a personal call outside while the phone was ringing and two people waiting to be serviced. She was short, rude, and then when I asked how long the wait would be she replied "who said they were gonna help you cause they're busy?" She said there was 5 cars ahead of me, but confirmed they don't close 6. Overall unprofessional experience, and I wouldn't recommend going there unless you have an older vehicle that you don't care about. These people are morons. I called when I realized I had a nail in my tire, they said bring it right in we'll repair it. Get there and they say it'll be 2-3 hours, so I left and came back 3.5 hours later, I arrive and they say "there's nothing in the tire." I said yes there is I took a photo of it.. if you want to see. They were looking at the wrong tire. For 3 hours. Then the manager came out and told me they couldn't patch it because it's a run flat. (It isn't a run flat and the tech who looked at it AT MAVIS when I dropped it off, said it was not a run flat). So he went back and looked at it, confirmed it is not a run flat, and told me it would be another 30 minutes to patch it. There was another customer there who came in for a new tire, and they replaced the wrong tire on his car. Cannot do anything right. **update they did such a horrible job "patching" the tire it was completely flat the next morning. Thank god they didn't end up charging me for the "patch" because they didn't do anything but make it worse. Now I need a whole new tire because they messed it up so bad read more

Worst experience I ever had moving to Smyrna. I provided my own parts to replace my wheel nutts with wheel locks. Over the phone they quoted me 150 which I said works for me and they told me to go to advance auto parts for cheaper products and they had to "check something for me " and would get back. Needless to say they didn't get back and I bought the kit from advance auto parts. After I receive the parts I went back and was scheduled for 8am and the front desk told me it will be 260, but cause they like me they can do 195, which I STILL agreed to. When I arrived to my appointment the front desk checks my information and talks to the mechanic. The mechanic comes out and says he has no clue what this is and how to install it. I informed him there were instructions and he informed me to take it to BMW. The biggest joke of horrible mechanic, is I'm a mechanic in the military and this job takes under a hour and I still accepted the rates for them not to be able to do the service. They also do their pricing off of a 1960 calculator, no lie. I watch the lady put in the calculator numbers that added to $260 and then say let me see what I can do and created another number of $195. I've already tried to have the chain remedy this but after zero response, this is the choice I have. I took my car here because I had a tire consistently losing air. They took it back, had it for about an hour, and SUPPOSEDLY did a patch on it. I was surprised when the very next day, it was losing air again. I took it to a different shop. They confirmed and showed me that the tire had never been patched. There was a screw still currently stuck in the side wall and the tire was losing air in the exact same way it had been days prior to the "service" I hadn't actually received at Mavis. After discovering this, I called the corporate line and they said the regional manager would reach out - never heard anything else about it. They charged me $36 for a service they didn't even do and put me back on the road thinking my tire was fixed. This is disgusting and deceptive and I hope no one else is taken advantage of in this way. read more

When I showed up, they told me the promotion was only for the house pads which they were coincidentally out of at the moment. (What a surprise). I got my oil changed after 4,000 miles. My car sits in the driveway (I work from home), and I might drive 3-4 times per month to get groceries or play a round of golf). Mavis charged me $85 - for the CHEAPER of the two oil options. Unfortunately, I then saw TiresPlus offered up to a 5-quart oil change with filter for $29.99 I got ripped off. AND it took almost two hours for an oil change and tire rotation (with one customer ahead of me). UPDATE: I forgot my wallet. They would not take any digital payment, could not enter my card number, expiration date, CVV (I had my computer with me), I could not pay online, etc. They held my car and said they would not let me (a longtime customer who bought his tires there and has had an account there for years) take my car and get my wallet. They only take cash or physical credit or debit cards. Nice customer service. read more

I took my car in for an oil change and one new tire. When I picked my car up, they had drained the oil but did not put any oil in. Thankfully, the engine light was on and I didn't leave the parking lot. My new tire was also inflated to 78 psi. I spoke with the manager and also called corporate customer service. I came yesterday and made an appointment for 10am. The appointment was to remove existing tires and put stocks back on. NO OTHER SERVICE. The dude who helped me was an ass hole. He told me it would take 1 1/2 hours to complete. I said that's why I made an appointment. He said "just because you make an appointment doesn't mean we will start working on your car". I said ok....... So I left to get food. When I got back 2 hours later, the lady at the desk who made my original appointment noticed me and said "have they taken care of you yet?" I said no. She goes I'm the back and I watch her grab the packet with my info. She yells out "hey! What's the status on this?" That same dude says it's next. Now, while waiting the 2nd time I watched him walk to his SUV, walk around the shop, pick up another packet, and go to his bay. I'm like WTF!? That is when the lady at the desk asked about it. I went to this location earlier this week to get a tire patched. The lady at the counter took my information then walked out to my truck and started checking all of my tires. She walked in and said I needed a new set of tires and would not do the patch repair. My truck tires are not down to the ware tabs so I was confused. I felt this employee wanted to sell a set of tires and was going to bully me into it. I do not need a set of tires at this moment and just wanted a flat repair. I left and went to another tire store where they checked my tread then fixed my tire. I called corporate to speak to a manager but to no avail. If I could leave a zero review I would. Dropped my truck off early afternoon for a flat repair: told them no rush just call me when they get to it, I'll pick it up the next day. Next morning around 10 am still haven't heard from them so I call. They tell me they haven't gotten to it yet, and they'd call me. Early afternoon (almost 24 hours after drop off) they call me and let me know it's ready .y wife pays for it and I come back and pick it up at 8:55 pm to find that the tire has 18 psi in it and a huge scratch on my rim. I bring it back to have the store manager (Josh) try to e plain to me that there's no way that they did it, and sarcastically "what do you want me to give you half your money back because we didn't put enough air in it". I aired up my tire myself and left, took well over 48 hours of constant contact to get a hold of the regional manager who was excellent at informing me that my wheels had tons of damage and no way their tire machine or techs did the damage to the wheel. read more

This is the only place I will go in Atlanta for tires. I started going here when I lived down the street and it was convenient. Now I live 35 minutes away and it's still worth the drive to me. The guys are super friendly. There is Wi-Fi in the lobby, and if you don't like that go next door to Atlanta Bread Co and have lunch and use their Wi-Fi. I have come to what used to be Kauffman Tires for 15 years. Had a flat that required a couple of new tires. Worst service ever. I will never come back here again. They never bothered to tell me if my car was done or not. Store manager is terrible. He needs a class in customer service. If you have an appointment you should get in when your appt is scheduled.
