Stay aware from this place. Crooks- I went in for my tires to be replaced. They advised me that I also needed new brakes for my 2022 Kia Telluride with only 48000 miles. Being naive about cars. This kid Cayden insisted that my brakes were soo bad and needed to be replaced. May I also state that I had talked to their service center and was given a quote of 988 with taxes for my 4 tires, So when he said to me that the brakes were $1299, he failed to add on that this was an addition to the $988. Being a Friday afternoon - before a long weekend, long day from work- It didn't register that these crooks were going to charge me $2287. They need to communicate better to their clients otherwise I advise you to stay AWAY from this Woburn location. They hardly had any customers and they cleared took advantage of a lady who seems clueless with cars. The WORST repair shop I have ever been to. Didn't even leave my car there because the service was so horrible. I created my appointment online for 8 am. The woman opening the store (at 8 am on 1/15/2025) was late opening, parked in a handicapped spot with no sticker, and was incredibly rude to me. I ended up cancelling my appointment and leaving. Genuinely the best experience I've had at a mechanic. I got my brakes done (front and back rotors and pads) and I was so appreciative of the mechanic MAKING SURE I needed brakes before putting them on my car (even though I 100% knew I needed them regardless!) Ashley (front desk employee) was amazing when keeping me informed and giving me a price on my vehicle's repairs (which was a great price compared to everywhere else I looked). I had reached out to Mavis yesterday to have two tires mounted. Jalel had answers and was more than professional in helping me get these tires mounted, given that I had two rims and tires of my own. When arriving later afternoon Jaleel was able to get processed and have the tech mount the tires. Part of the of the service was test the batteries of TPMS, which I no idea about was cool to know, just to guarantee that there will no issues. The tech and Jalel helped me bring in the tires and wheels that needed to be done. Honestly it took 20-25 mins to get them mounted and balanced. I would recommend Mavis for anyone. I can't say enough good things about the Mavis in Woburn. My family and I were heading to NH for a camping trip when we lost the brakes in our vehicle. Not being from the area, I stopped at 2 other places that wouldn't even give me the time or day. This was my last resort and I spoke with Ashley at the counter. She went back and got the lead mechanic, Eduardo. He came outside and got under the vehicle and checked to see what the problem was. Both Ashley and Eduardo got it on the lift and diagnosed it fully, called a bunch of places to try to find the parts, finally located them, and fixed the issues. I had a flat tire so I went to mavis to get it repaired the on duty desk manager told me that there was side wall damage so I needed a new tire so I had them replace the tire and balance, the remaining three tires The job was all done so I proceeded home not getting more than ten minutes down the highway when the same tire goes flat now stuck on the highway. I had to change the tire back to the spare on an extremely busy highway at 6 o'clock not safe the store is now closed which leads me to the next day when I have to take time off of work to get the situation squared away Needless to say, the resolve was even worse than the fix The initial problem was a valve stem, not a hole in the tire. They replace the valve stem on the second day and also charge me for balance on the four tires even know when you purchase a tire it should come with free balancing. Keep away from Mavis, Woburn! It was my first time to go to them and will absolutely be my last time to go there. To the store manager - Johnny, you were too rude to your customer and I felt threatened when I talked to you this morning over the phone. Honestly, I just needed an apology but I did not!!! This is the main reason I am writing this negative review today. I hope in the future you and your family were not treated in the same way how I was treated in your store. I went Mavis, Woburn to do an wheel alignment and was told that all the tires had to be replaced in order to do alignment. I agreed (although I replaced my 4 tires in Toyota dealership 1.5 years ago) as I just wanted to get things done, as Toyota and Hogan tires did not have available slots until mid week the next week. I would like to say this has been the worse decision I have ever made in my life! So I spent ~$1100 there on that day. It was worthy if the story ended here! To make a long story short, two days after the tire replacement, the tire indicator light was up on the highway. I spent two afternoons at Mavis and they still could not solve the problem. They suggested me bring the car to the dealership as they could not do anything about it. They said they would talk to their manager for the reimbursement of the cost if the issue was caused by the tire replacement. So I went to the dealership, they found an aftermarket tire sensor installed in the right front side and the sensor was not reprogrammed after the installation which triggered the tire light. They said the original Toyota sensor must be broken by the last tire replacement and an aftermarket sensor was put on without reprograming. They have a clear record of my car maintenance and my tire sensors were all the original sensors from Toyota during the last tire replacement (1-2 years ago). Clearly, Mavis broke one of the tire sensors during the tire replacement and put on an aftermarket sensor without my permission! I called the store and eventually got a chance to talk to their manager "Johnny" today as he was always out. He was surprisingly rude to me (like I was lying), he said "so what do you want me to do?", I told him the whole story, and I said at least you should reimburse my sensor reprograming cost at the dealership which is $160. I did not even make it to the point of why my original sensor was replaced with an aftermarket one without my permission, and he started yelling at me and spoke so fast and loud on the phone, "it was not me asking you to bring the car to the dealership, if I was here it will cost $0! I can only pay $80, (take it or leave it), you can call Mavis customer service if you don't like (this decision)... balabla...". I did not want to argue with him as he was very rude. Good thing is that I called Mavis customer line, I got apology and reimbursement of the cost. However, I am really disappointed about Mavis, Woburn! I cannot imagine someone behaved in that way could be their store manager. With $1100, I could get more decent tires and service from the dealership! Also, replacing their customers' part with an aftermarket part without the permissions? And no apologies? You should be careful!! Horrible experience! Stay away from them! read more

This place literally SAVED ME. So I unfortunately admit I can be a bit of a procrastinator especially when it comes to replacing my tires. As all procrastinators know, eventually it comes around to bite you. For me, that day was today. I was on my way home from work when I started to feel my car shake. When I got home I checked my tires and found that I had worn my tires so much the cords were sticking out. This was devastating news to me as it was 5pm on a Friday and I had to drive 2 hours tomorrow morning for a loved ones graduation at 8am. I was desperate to say the least. I called this Mavis and spoke to Johnny. I pleaded my case with him and they took me AFTER HOURS because they wanted to help. This place will forever have my seal of approval and recommendation. What a joke. That's how I will begin this review. Initially everything was fine I called yesterday because I need 4 new tires. I called spoke to Johnny got the tires ordered from the warehouse. I said great what time should I bring my vehicle in for service. Well it all depends when they arrive how about you give me a call around 2pm. So it's now today I call at 2pm Johnny answered and said sorry not here yet they should be here around 4/430 call then. Sure no problem. Here's where it goes south real quick. I call at 4 and Johnny almost annoyed says yeah there not here I told you I'd call you back and hangs up on me. Like no you didn't but ok I'm assuming your busy so like a stooge I wait another 1.5 hours. At this point my car is not getting touched today and again call back to try to set up an appointment for the next day or the following day. Our stories hero Johnny answers throws me on hold for a few minuets and comes back with the biggest bs story I've ever heard. I asked hey obviously tonight's not happening can I bring my car in tomorrow to get the four tires changed? Johnny and I quote "well I'm not in tomorrow my phone will be off and I can't promise they will work on your car" I said ok can't we put something on the schedule? " no sorry there's not a schedule and we're very busy so I can't do anything for you". I then say so your not in can't someone else perform the work? " I can't promise you anything if I'm not in the building and like I said I'm off and I don't worry about this place when I'm off". Then he suggests maybe I can bring it by in two days when he's back from his days off or try agai with whoever is working on his days off. Honestly what business operates like this? If you can't perform the work just say you can't because your booked out! It's not that hard. Instead you have me waiting around playing phone tag trying yo see if my car will get fixed. Now I need to find another place to do the work and miss out on a days pay because your inept ability to be honest and transparent about something as simple as a schedule with a customer. My van was serviced by this company for years . Recently I called because the last time they serviced my breaks they failed to tighten the bolts all the way and caused rotator damage. Calling the office I was met with nothing but resistance . Back in early May, I was stuck in a nearby hotel with what I assumed was a broken alternator. I was thrilled to find this shop open on Sunday and confirmed that they would be able to fix alternator if needed. Towed my mini-van to them, explained that the battery was changed only a year ago, so I think it's alternator. They said they still need to replace the battery to test the alternator (odd, they could use their own battery for testing). Anyway, I said fine. They replaced the battery and said that that was the only issue, the alternator tested fine. Half-an-hour later I was stuck on the road with no charge again. I changed the alternator and haven't had any issues in the last 2 months. On the positive note, I really appreciate the service I got from Carley, the front desk girl. She entertained my son and gave me good pointers on how to navigate the metro line and where to go to eat in Boston. So 5 stars for the front end customers service, but I came to fix the car and the mechanic failed miserably to do that. read more
