Was taking a morning walk when I stumbled across Maxie's - luckily, I was hungry at the time! I was caught by their huge posters of their eggs benedict outside their store. It's located in the LINQ Promenade which is super convenient if you're staying in the Flamingo. I ordered to go at the front and my order was ready after a quick 10 minutes, even though they were busy. I appreciated how quickly they were able to get my order done - the greeter at the front and the woman at the register were also super kind and welcoming. The eggs benedict was super tasty. Although it isn't what you'd traditionally expect, all of the flavors meshed together extremely well. From the bacon, to the spinach, to the tomato, each component of the meal left me impressed. The chicken has no seasoning or flavor at all and the waffle was not what you expect from a belgian waffle. They place you in a queue then text you when your table is ready. I had the eggs & protein, my steak was cooked exactly the way I asked, eggs scrambled (not runny). You have a choice of your protein. Serving sizes were perfect. Taste was good. I liked that the waitress verified my order by repeating it back to me before placing it. You can place a togo order as an option. We were seated at a spacious table -- 6ft apart from others. Really nice establishment. The FOOD! Delicious! I ordered the Waffle Stack and my goodness it was SO much food I was stuffed! I can only comment on Maxie's happy hour . I was at the Linq to see a concert at Brooklyn Bowl and had a few minutes to kill. Luckily I saw Maxie's sign showcasing 2 cocktails for $10. With 10 minutes left on HH, I strolled up and was promptly served my two drinks. I believe I got a Mai Tai and a Margarita. They were not the best but they were definitely not the worst versions of those drinks that I've had. The service was prompt and friendly, the drinks were tasty, refreshing, and cheap, and the people watching was plentiful. I'd definitely come back before my next concert. read more

Dining room is a long, dark hall -- very unappealing visually. The Linq Promenade is one of our favorite spots on the Strip. The combination of shops, dining, and activities is fun, plus they seem to ensure that those causing issues are kept out. One place we had yet to try was Maxie's, which looks like that kind of greasy spoon diner that has good eats and service. At least one of those was the case here, with Jennifer providing top-notch service. The food was just okay; my Hawaiian omelet didn't have much flavor, though I surprisingly enjoyed the breakfast potatoes once I picked around the peppers that put on there. Unfortunately my first omelet came with the salsa on it, which I specifically asked for on the side--turns out someone else also ordered this item and I got theirs instead, supposedly... Given all of the options here in Vegas--and the truly excellent breakfast food at other places such as Grand Lux Cafe, we're not likely to venture back here again anytime soon though it's good to have a backup location in case one of our preferred spots isn't available. read more

For the price point, the food portion is right, but as for the presentation, the plates need a bit more finesse and color. Ok... so full disclosure.... Mom and I met Chef Allen and Joe at a VGK game a couple weeks ago. They were super friendly and just the kind of guys you want to hang out with. They told us about Maxie's and that we should stop by some time. So... naturally we did. Fast forward a couple weeks... it's now Mom's birthday month, and we do fun stuff all month, almost every day of the month. So, to mix it up we went to Maxie's. So glad we did! Location: Super easy to find at the LINQ - right near the ferris wheel and across from Yard House. Service: We were sat right away. Our server Dee was great. Very nice and has lots of colored pens. Ask her about them. hahahahaha! Seating: you have the option of indoor or patio. We opted for patio since it was such a nice day out. Plus you can people watch. :) Let me start with telling you about my drink (bloody mary).... Their BM is ON POINT! I'm super picky about my bloodys. This had the right amount of tomato to spice to horseradish to vodka to bloody mary-ness. Now to make it the best ever.... All it needed was a marinated green bean and a celery stick. I'm weird... I don't think anyone does this, but I actually eat the bloody soaked celery. I forgot to mention that to Chef. (I'll have to remember to mention that to the guys if I get to see them again.) I had the Chicken Blueberry which was a savory, sweet, spicy, scrumptious sandwich! The chicken was fried yet still super juicy. And the blueberry jam... and the jalapenos.... what a combo! Oh and let's not forget the melt in your mouth brioche bun. SO GOOD! If you're thinking, oh no, that's too spicy for me. It really wasn't super spicy.... just a hint of heat since the blueberries help curb "the heat". Normally, I would cut this bad boy in half and save half for lunch tomorrow. I couldn't help myself... I was a glutton for punishment. I mowed down the whole sandwich minus 1/3 of the bun as I thought that would save 10 calories. The fries were also plentiful and really good. I think they were the twice fried kind because they were nice and crispy on the outside but still soft and potato-y on the inside. Mom had the Kevin Pastrami and it was loaded with pastrami so much she had to take it apart to eat it. She too probably should have saved half for tomorrow's lunch but she decided she'd eat the whole thing for lunch and skip dinner. She upgraded her fries to onion rings and I'm so glad she did. I snagged a few of the onion rings and enjoyed the crispy outside and the sweet onions on the inside. No bite to the onions. Really nice! Our good friend was literally the "good one"... in that she ordered the monster Arugula salad with chicken. She couldn't finish all of it, but she said if it was really good and that the white balsamic dressing was fantastic! (Note, she's kinda a picky eater, so I took this as a good sign.) We went and had a late lunch on 5/8/25 and was seated quick. The place was not busy, maybe half full, or less. There was another party that was seated about a minute after us at the table right behind us. We noticed the table behind us had already been greeted by there server, got there drinks, and placed their order before our server had even came over to take our drink order or even introduce herself. And we arrived first! Finally our server came over and said she didn't see us. We told her the other table had already had their drinks and had their order taken she said sorry and that she was really busy and didn't know she had our table. She told us her name was Brooklyn. She took our order and said thank you and enjoy. We watched, she did have three or four other tables, one of them was a large party of 10, the rest were standard 2, and 4 person parties. She paid alot of attention to the other tables checking to see if they needed anything, checking on their drinks, the table behind us, their server checked on them and amazing 6 times! Someone from the kitchen brought our food out, and we started to enjoy the food, we needed ketchup, we grabbed the ketchup bottle and got enough out for two fries, before you get the familiar sound of a spitting bottle of being empty. We tried to wave her down to ask for another bottle, but no success, we finally just got up and grabbed a bottle from another table and that one was empty too. So we ate our fries without ketchup. (Actually we didn't end up eating them, we got a to go box and brought them back to the hotel) we never did see our server through out our entire meal. But she was sure checking on the 10 top and the other 3 tables. When she finally did came by and asked how everything was, I responded it was just okay she walked away. Never asked what was wrong or why it was only just ok, but I think she knew we were not happy with her service. We had already been done with our meal when she had stopped by, we did not see her again for almost 10 minutes, she walks by, and as she is walking by she looks and says "everything ok"? And starts walking off, I had to say "um, excuse me, can we get a to go box and our check", she said, "oh, your ready? Sure." She came over and got us our box and ticket, i still gave a tip, even thought she did not deserve one, she asked how everything was, and I said it was just just ok and we are ready to leave and I had a tone of dissatisfaction. She is either clueless, or just is not a anti good server. We have gone to Marie's every time we come to Vegas, 2 to 3 times each trip, it was one of our favorite spots for breakfast and lunch. Brooklyn lost our business for Maxi's. It is very unfortunate but Brooklyn, you need some training on customer service and how to treat customers and talk to them to turn things around when you screw up. I can't give this place more than three stars because the coffee was absolutely horrible and tasted burnt. The eggs Benedict was interesting in that it was served in a toast basket. They could save some money if they cut the toast in half and had less bread. The original eggs Benedict was edible. I prefer a more lemony hollandaise sauce. If you're a bacon, eggs, toast or pancakes or waffle kind of person this would probably be a good place to go.
