We went and had a late lunch on 5/8/25 and was seated quick. The place was not busy, maybe half full, or less. There was another party that was seated about a minute after us at the table right behind us. We noticed the table behind us had already been greeted by there server, got there drinks, and placed their order before our server had even came over to take our drink order or even introduce herself. And we arrived first! Finally our server came over and said she didn't see us. We told her the other table had already had their drinks and had their order taken she said sorry and that she was really busy and didn't know she had our table. She told us her name was Brooklyn. She took our order and said thank you and enjoy. We watched, she did have three or four other tables, one of them was a large party of 10, the rest were standard 2, and 4 person parties. She paid alot of attention to the other tables checking to see if they needed anything, checking on their drinks, the table behind us, their server checked on them and amazing 6 times! Someone from the kitchen brought our food out, and we started to enjoy the food, we needed ketchup, we grabbed the ketchup bottle and got enough out for two fries, before you get the familiar sound of a spitting bottle of being empty. We tried to wave her down to ask for another bottle, but no success, we finally just got up and grabbed a bottle from another table and that one was empty too. So we ate our fries without ketchup. (Actually we didn't end up eating them, we got a to go box and brought them back to the hotel) we never did see our server through out our entire meal. But she was sure checking on the 10 top and the other 3 tables. When she finally did came by and asked how everything was, I responded it was just okay she walked away. Never asked what was wrong or why it was only just ok, but I think she knew we were not happy with her service. We had already been done with our meal when she had stopped by, we did not see her again for almost 10 minutes, she walks by, and as she is walking by she looks and says "everything ok"? And starts walking off, I had to say "um, excuse me, can we get a to go box and our check", she said, "oh, your ready? Sure." She came over and got us our box and ticket, i still gave a tip, even thought she did not deserve one, she asked how everything was, and I said it was just just ok and we are ready to leave and I had a tone of dissatisfaction. She is either clueless, or just is not a anti good server. We have gone to Marie's every time we come to Vegas, 2 to 3 times each trip, it was one of our favorite spots for breakfast and lunch. Brooklyn lost our business for Maxi's. It is very unfortunate but Brooklyn, you need some training on customer service and how to treat customers and talk to them to turn things around when you screw up. When we go into town a couple weeks ago and our room wasn't ready we decided to embark on a mission for food. All my wife said was she wanted a deli sandwich. Luckily we found Maxie's (after asking the concierge at The Linq because GPS kept taking us inside). We arrived and they weren't too busy for 9ish on Mothership Day which is a win for us. I opted for the pepperoni pizza grilled cheese. Both were served with housemade chips. The waitress came back and advised they were out of turkey. No big deal as my wife subbed ham...crisis averted. At the end of the LINQ alley is a nice out of the hustle and bustle breakfast / lunch joint. Covid rules pretty much mandate to have a reservation but I was able to walk up and get a table. After roughly 20 minutes the place was crowded so I lucked out. I ordered my standard Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs. Had to ask for salt and pepper and an extra small bowl of gravy. Both were good, but I liked his better--it's hard to go wrong with BBQ in my opinion. Personally, I could have done with less bread, but the benedict box is a cool/unique concept. My mimosa was a little light on champagne, and my husband didn't love his old fashioned. Interestingly, the restaurant doesn't have a bathroom, so we were told we'd have to walk three doors down the Promenade to the nearest one. My bf got the burger with no bun because gluten free buns are pretty blah and prob a good thing he did.
