The basic nachos I had were simply not good: toppings of bland beef, tomatoes,too much sour cream and cheese that tasted far too much like American. I felt like this was something a non-chef child would put together at home. My burger also lacked seasoning and was cooked beyond the medium that I requested. Fries were probably the best part of the meal. I was so unimpressed that I didn't even look at the dessert menu, which is not my custom. No interest in returning, even if I'm missing out on some good music acts.

During one of the last games however, we asked if the sound could be switched to the soccer match like it had been before. The server refused to lower the music and would only let us hear the TV's own speakers, which were impossible to hear over the loud music. It felt like customer experience was no longer a priority. Yesterday was the final straw. I came in with a friend, and the server was sitting at the front scrolling through her phone. She didn't acknowledged us until the bartender noticed we were trying to get someone's attention. I've supported this restaurant for over a decade, so it's disappointing to see the level of service decline like this. Is there new management? I truly hope someone addresses these issues because the food is still excellent, but the customer service no longer matches the quality of the restaurant.

Its been around since the mid 70's. Not too long ago I ran a half marathon up in Rye along with a friend of mine running in her 100th half. She had a post race celebration party here which was catered and on their back patio. Nicely done, the food was tasty and the beer nice and cold. It's a true locals spot that those in the neighborhood patronize as while there I saw a bunch of them getting their day drinking on during early afternoon. It's an old school working mans bar with a bit of a worn look but in a good way.
