The shrimp is super tender. Order it spicy if you can handle heat. Service: Staff is always very attentive and hospitable. We have always been checked on often. Ambiance: Very cute patio restaurant with bar seating, high tables, and traditional height tables. The layout is great. Great food and fun vibe! You would not know from the front or the neighborhood that it's such a cute place. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the food was genuinely delicious, but the service and cleanliness concerns make it difficult for me to do so. The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly one of the better Mexican meals I've had in a while. I do wish they were a little more generous with the chips, though. Unlike most Mexican restaurants, you only get a very small complimentary portion and have to pay for additional chips after that. Not a huge deal, but definitely something worth noting. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. To start, there were flies everywhere. I understand this is an outdoor seating restaurant, so seeing a few flies is expected. However, the amount of flies constantly buzzing around our table was excessive and made the dining experience pretty unpleasant. The service was another issue. Our server was friendly enough, but he was extremely slow and not very attentive. The restaurant was not busy at all, with only a couple of other tables occupied, yet every request seemed to take forever. When I asked for a water refill, he would go do several other tasks before bringing it. The same thing happened when we needed utensils. We constantly found ourselves waiting several minutes for simple requests, which became frustrating as the meal went on. The biggest issue for me, and the reason I'm writing this review, was what I observed regarding cleanliness. I watched our server use the same pair of gloves while taking out the trash, clearing dirty dishes from other tables, and then serving food and drinks. Seeing that completely changed my perception of the restaurant and honestly made me second guess the food we were eating. What makes this so disappointing is that the food is actually amazing. I would love to become a regular here, but management really needs to pay more attention to service and sanitation standards. This is not a cheap sit down restaurant, and with the prices they charge, customers should be able to expect a higher level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Its been a minute but finally made it back to this awesome Mexican Seafood Restaurant. Everything we had was fresh and had great flavor. The Michelada with Prawns was great and the Sex on the Beach also tasty. Maza's Shrimp Wrapped with Bacon and the melted cheddar cheese was amazing, one of the best I've ever had cooked perfectly. Oyster Ajillo with special recipe of olive oil, spices and melted cheese was fresh and tasty. Parmesan Garlic Fries with the Cilantro Sauce was good and the fries were crispy. Tostadas Aguachiles Verde with Prawns with their serrano lime juice was so good and fresh, also one of the best we ever had!!! This restaurant is so fun! I love the rustic feel like it's a backyard. It feels so homey and I love all the bright colors. Whenever I think of Mexican food, I want some Maza. Their food is delicious. My favorites are their ceviche, shrimp tacos, and oysters. Their flavors taste so authentic. I love me some seafood which Maza doesn't disappoint. Except for my only mild complaint, sometimes they BLAST music on giant PA speakers so loud you can't even hear the person 1 foot away from you. There is such a thing as "too loud". Other than the music sometimes being far too loud this place is amazing and even with the loud music I'm still coming back lol. When we drove by, I initially thought it was the little place next door which didn't look like a restaurant at all. So we decided to just get out and discovered it was actually next door. (It was night so it was dark.) We go in and walk down a long hallway, which is also a sitting area, until you get to the hostess station and the seating area. They have a small bar with two TVs where you can watch soccer. They have a very cool octopus mural on the wall that had lights. They have a semi outdoors seating area which it seemed to me that you're not completely out in the open, but I could be wrong since it was somewhat dark. To look at the menu, you scan a QR code on the napkin holder. It just so happens to be $1 Taco Tuesdays all day. So I got myself three tacos, pollo, asada and carnitas. Very, very good. My son got the Super Quesadilla. It was so big he didn't even finish the other half, and he normally has a healthy appetite. They have Japanese style Mexican sushi but I wanted to take advantage of the $1 Taco Tuesdays. Next time I'm in the area I'll have to check out their "sushi." read more

I've never had a bad taco in my life until I ate the tacos here. The meat was hella dry and had no flavors. I honestly had better tacos at my white neighbors house. came here to celebrate my sisters birthday and let me pick where to eat. I asked the "YELP community" and they sent me here. I am glad the food was so good. The reviews did mention that parking would be a bit tricky since it is all street parking. we found some pretty quick. There is also one bathroom so don't wait last min to use it since you might have to wait to use it. The way the restaurant is set up you feel like you are outside on vacation. I would have liked at least one paper menu since we have older people who couldn't see well with out glasses but we made it work. I got a fried fish appetizer and the guac/salsa app as well. Fried fish appetizer was over cooked horribly and had zero seasoning. Yes ZERO! Customer service was mediocre at best. The waitress thought that flirting with the other employees was more important than seeing if the customer needed refills on drinks. Why two stars? Actually a cute place if You want to watch a game and have a few beers. I don't think the food is good but I've had worse. I've heard the sushi was good by other people but when they tell me the calamari is frozen, I don't trust the rest of the seafood isn't frozen. This was my second time coming to this spot, and I love it just as much as the first. There isn't a designated parking lot that I noticed, but we had no trouble finding street parking. Also, keep in mind that this place is outdoor seating only. They do offer blankets, heat lamps, and overhead covering, which makes it comfortable even when it's chilly. My husband and I came this past Saturday to enjoy some drinks and food while watching the football games. They have several TVs at the bar, so that's where we settled in. We were given complimentary chips and salsa to start, which was a nice touch. We decided to order margaritas, and apparently we came on the best day for them--they offer double margaritas for only $8! According to their website, this deal is available on Saturdays and Sundays. The margaritas are made with 3 oz. of Jose Cuervo, and they freshly squeeze the limes while making them. We asked for Tajín on the rim with chamoy, which was absolutely delicious. We shared the super quesadilla, which was more than enough for the two of us. It comes with your choice of meat, and we opted for the carne asada, which I highly recommend. The servers are always friendly and efficient. We really enjoy coming here and are excited to check out their $2 Taco Tuesday, available all day! read more

The vibe instantly puts you in a different frame of mind -- relaxed, happy, and ready to enjoy. The customer service was absolutely top-notch. I lost count of how many times we were checked on! The staff made sure we had everything we needed, and our waters were constantly refilled without even asking. They made us feel so welcomed, cared for, and appreciated -- it truly elevated the entire experience. Now for the food... It speaks for itself! Everything we ordered was amazing. We tried three different types of Mexican sushi rolls, two appetizers, and every single bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made to order. I saw an IG reel of this place and thought it looked like a super cute place to eat outdoors and it was!!! I loved the ambience out here and it's refreshing and unique from the restaurants I usually go to. The cachichurris, mexican sushi, was actually pretty good, it was more of a deep fried california roll basically. The sauce was a sort of ponzu sauce? I loved the tostada!!! The shrimp, veggies all tasted so fresh and went so well on top of the crispy tortillas. I would get this again. The camarones cucaracha (spicy shrimp) was amazing!! The waiter warned us that this was spicy and we tried it and it really was. But I have a pretty good spice tolerance so I enjoyed it as a good level. It's a good kick and definitely builds up over time after eating more. The horchata was really refreshing too, same with the pineapple mango drink!! We decided to visit this place based on this soup that I have seen on Instagram. I wish we didn't come. My experience is only about the food, because the service with these guys were fantastic, despite the fact that English was a bit challenging for them and they took my sprite every time when I finished it like it was refill, but they charged me nearly $5 each time. So the soup....it was terrible. So disappointing because we came here for only to eat the soup. Everyone knows who cooks that only beef is ok to reheat chicken or pork is terrible taste different if it's not freshly cooked, and this dish wasn't fresh at all. It wasn't even flavorful either. Hubby caught wind of this place via an ad on IG and my entire family gathered together and met here on a Tuesday. Parking is real shoddy and basically street only so be sure to allot yourself time for that! You enter into their back patio area and essentially find yourself a seat if it isn't too busy. If it is busy, there's a waitlist. We sat under an awning in the back and there were flies and trash everywhere and only one server who was working really hard to accommodate over 10 tables on her own on a taco Tuesday. The menu is scannable via QR code and you just peruse the menu and order in person with the waitress. For the dollar taco deal, you're required to purchase one drink per person but it can be alcohol or non. I got a mango agua fresca which was really sugary but tasty. We ordered forty tacos between the 7 or 8 of us and the flavors were: chorizo, pollo, bistec, and birria. The chorizo was really salty and oily and the steak didn't have much flavor. But for a dollar it isn't terrible. Somehow with forty tacos and drinks for everyone our bill was still over $150. Don't expect too much service wise but it's still a good opportunity maybe for a smaller group! read more

I've been wanting to try this place out for a while! Stopped by at around noon on a hot Sunday and found parking on the street. The entrance is somewhat hidden and you have to walk through the side of the building into the back (this restaurant is outdoors). We were quickly greeted and told to sit wherever we pleased. There were fans and misters to keep people cool which was definitely a plus. Service was quick and attentive. Onto the food/drinks. Ugh, one of the best micheladas I've had. The chips/salsa were great and so were the taquitos! My boyfriend got the tostada perrona and it was amazing (I'm ordering that one next time). I ordered the tostada de mango with shrimp and I felt like they did skimp out on the shrimp a bit.. and was too salty for my liking.
