I really enjoyed my choice since they have a protein section, which is good to maximize your protein intake! It was so good with saucy, tangy, and crispy texture of the shrimp. I order from here least twice a week. This is on the workers I ordered additional bread on the side. They hide the bread away, for anyone ordering Togo , make sure you check your orders. They will not hesitate to skim off you. The other thing is on the app itself there are things where you could get free if you order above $30 and they will say you don't have or get it. Unfortunately I had a really bad experience on my first visit to this location. My Wife and I ordered to-go on their kiosk at 8:44pm. When ready, we pick it up and checked my food to found the smallest, burnt and driest piece of salmon in my Combo. Talked to a lady with pink face then to an hispanic guy on the register and both tried to convince me it was the right portion, but portion wasn't the only problem, seems to me they were careless about sending out quality food and just giving customers leftover pieces because they wanted to go home. I went here with my co-workers for lunch today. (It was busy / crowded today) We all ordered the same thing. (Fish Tacos) My co-workers orders came out quickly. But mines took 45 minutes! This was my first time at this location and I've been to this plaza before for H-Mart and Hawaiian Ono, just never noticed the fish grill. Hee. The lady at the counter was INCREDIBLY helpful, I forgot her name! She was a college aged Asian lady with some faint artsy arm tattoos. Very elegant and cute artwork. She was incredibly helpful, since I suck at computers and didn't realize I could order my wine from the kiosk! Hahaha Then as the food came out, this louder Spanish speaking gentleman yelled my Boyfriend's name, and since he had an accent, we didn't hear it..... suddenly the lady showed up with our tray and she said there was another tray at the front, so my Boyfriend quickly ran up to grab it. The lady came back two seconds later with my wine I ordered and two chilled wine glasses! Sooooo sweet of her since it was a hot day and a white wine was just perfect pairing with fish! I got the 2 fish combo tacos, but I should've just keep the fish the standard way. The Cajun fish was tasty, but I wish those spices could have been on the fish battered tacos instead. The Cajun fish didn't have much flavor-it's self. The seabass was delicious as always and the lobster roll was jam packed with lobster! My Mediterranean salad had a ton of bread crumbs on top, didn't realize it was on there but didn't see the option to remove it. My family and I enjoy the food here. It has many selections of seafood and my fav is the grilled mahi mahi, or the ahi poke. You can customize the sides with rice, cauliflower rice, salad, fries, or add premium sides like grilled asparagus, corn, Brussels sprouts. If you have kids with you they have options for kids meal like chicken tenders with fries, or chicken teriyaki with rice. I feel like this is one of the places where we can go and everyone can find something they'd like here. Oh and their fresh juices are really good like mango or strawberry lemonade. If you like soft drinks they have a more premium soda that I feel like it's sweet but not artificial which I enjoyed and I don't drink regular sodas because it's too sweet and way too much carbonation. When you first entered you go straight to the kiosk and if you're overwhelmed or need help with their digital menu, you can ask for help and an employee are very kind and take their time helping you navigate and find what you're looking for. You pay and they call your order once it's ready and you can pick up the food and either dine or take it to go. There is seating available and we tried to reserve for a table of 10 but they only have first come first serve (they don't reserve tables it's not a restaurant). However their foods taste like restaurant quality and I appreciate that in their delicious and customizable food. I got there and it wasn't a problem finding seats and I asked for help moving some tables so we can sit together and the employee was nice enough to help me. I've been here many times and Alfredo was very helpful and I forgot some other employees names since we used to come more regularly like once to twice a week. I ended up eating at the restaurant, a server checked up on me once which was totally unexpected. (This is more like a quick fast food type of restaurant). The roasted corn was missing a lil spice. We stopped by California Grill and tried a couple of their bowls, and overall it was a great experience! I ordered the new island teriyaki fried wild rockfish bowl, and it was delicious. The fish was crispy and flavorful, but the real star of the dish was the grilled pineapple - it added such a bright, sweet contrast to the savory flavors. The portion was generous, and honestly, it was a little heavy for me to finish on my own, but luckily my husband helped out. Next time, I think I'd go for the grilled version instead of fried, just to keep it lighter. My husband got the tilapia bowl with garlic butter sauce along with a side of sweet potato fries. This is a fast casual place that reminder me a bit of Hawaii. The focus is on various fishes, though they do have chicken available if seafood isn't your thing. I'll talk about the ahi tuna dish since that is what I ordered, it's a good combination of food with the salad, tuna, sauce, and etc. but upon taking a first bite of the tuna it was frozen !!!! it hurt my back teeth so badly it made me not want to even eat anything anymore. There were only a few pieces of the tuna that was not frozen. The edamame that was supposed to be included(?)... there was like 4 pieces of. The sauce was good at first but then once I was getting through my bowl it became too much and super overwhelming I couldn't finish what was left because of how much sauce there was. A friend recently told us about Taco Tuesday, so we decided to try out some of their tacos. Cajun Salmon Taco: Spicy Roasted Corn, Green Goddess Dressing (4/5). Not too spicy, but what you would expect in a griddled seasoned Salmon. Good! Battered Fish Taco: Battered fish, cream sauce (4.5/5). Crispy outside and flakey fish on the inside. Picked up dinner here on a Monday night. Ordering online was easy, and service was friendly and helpful at arrival. There was plenty of parking, as well as both indoor and outdoor seating available, and the restaurant setting was clean and inviting. I got the grilled branzino (sea bass) plate with white rice, brussel sprouts, and seasoned olive oil, as well as an additional side of garlic butter which they don't charge extra for. They do charge extra for the brussel sprouts though. I don't even mind cuz this entire dish was phenomenal. The brussel sprouts mix was tasty, the fish was buttery (and even better with a bit of garlic butter), and the rice blended nicely with the fish and seasoning, lots of flavor and yet not too filling. It was just right. I cleaned my plate, fully satisfied. It was so good, I will probably become a regular at CFG just for this, though I may give other tantalizing items a try too, like their lobster rolls! read more

Short Story: An above average place for fish and chips! Long Story: I came here on a Saturday afternoon and bought fish and chips to go (with an extra piece). The staff here are warm and friendly. The restaurant itself is quite sizeable with tall ceilings and large windows for natural lighting. You order food mostly at a kiosk and the food is made when you order. So it does take a bit of time. You can actually taste the fish and you could tell that the oil used to fry the fish was clean compared to how some fish and chips can taste at other places. It was honestly nothing spectacular because this place is an order first and then get your food later kind of a deal. What sold it for me was the salad that I got. Absolutely delightful and further details below. Fairly healthy option for a simple meal. Food: Kale Salad with Green Goddess Dressing: 4.7/5 First, I actually don't know if this is the legit name for it. I don't see it on the menu, but yes, this is essentially what it is. Just a simple kale salad with some dressing. This salad seems so simple, but such a delight. 70% sure that it's from the sauce, but I digress. The kale is nice and crunchy fresh with lots of crunch to it. I can't say that this happens for everyone, but for me, the pieces of kale were cut to nice sizes. Kale stems and leaves can be really hard, so my mouth gets tired of chewing through large pieces of it. Here, they cut it to small sizes and that helps with some of the masticating. Corn is sweet and adds another component to the bowl. This bowl was customizable, so you can pick and choose what you want and don't want in the bowl. Tomato is not to my liking, so I chose to leave it out today. All other items were added in. The avocado on top is nice and ripe and added some richness to the bowl. Something else I enjoyed was the feta cheese on top. There was just a light sprinkle of it on top, so nothing crazy and not too overpowering. This cheese does have a sharp and salty flavor too it, so you can overdo it. Nice contribution overall. Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Fries: X/5.0 My friend got this item today and I didn't try it. The fries appeared crispy and the sandwich itself looked quite juicy for a grilled chicken. Salmon Power Bowl: x/5.0 Also my friend's dish that I did not try today. Kale salad at the bottom and a nice piece of salmon on top, garnished with a cream sauce and sprinkle of minced tomatoes and parsley. Note: Something I like about these places is the bowls and plates that they use. It's not just a simple white plate or bowl. Their bowls and plates are very nice pieces of ceramics and I'm here for that. --------- Quality: Crispy veggies Quality of the foods appear optimal. With the salad, all of the items appeared freshly cut and assembled. The onions still had a nice crunch and flavor to it when I was eating it. If this were precut, they would probably lose some of that crispy from just sitting there. The kale was nice and crispy. Veggies were nice and green with little to no oxidation observed. Price: Affordable to fair This statement goes for most places, but it's going to depend on what you get. The price range is from $10 to $18 for a salad, plate, or bowl. My salad was about $11 today and my friends food items were about $15 to $18. Looking at the items we received though, the price appears fair. Nice hearty meal and we were all satisfied after finishing our food. Service: Limited interactions The ordering is done through a kiosk, so there was really limited employee interaction. The only time I spoke to them was when I went to go get the food tray. They place the items onto the food tray and you just take it to your table when it's all ready. Nothing really significant to note here. Ambiance: Open space with some natural light This spot has quite the open space. The layout is interesting to me because of how it's divided. Short wall dividers section off each spot. The first row is where you line up and order, second is two rows of seating and then there's a section where the drinks are and more seating near the back area. I like how spaced out the tables and seats are. There wasn't many people who were there at the time, but there would still be optimal space in between each group of people if there was a crowd. The lighting might not be the best because of where the windows are and how the restaurant itself is positioned relative to the sunlight coming in. A lot of the light is from natural light shining in, but again, there's not a significant amount of it. Location/Parking: Slightly hidden Location seems optimal. This plaza has quite a few different restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. It's located on one of the corners of Murphy Avenue and Oakland Road. There's quite a bit to do in all 4 corners of this intersection. While the plaza might be busy, the location of the restaurant itself might be a little more hidden because it's not actually facing the road or anything. It's more on the side. Quite easy to spot though with their sign. Parking is alright. The parking in front of HMart is usually busier because people are grocery shopping there. There are spots available around the area though. I've personally never had a concern with parking here. read more

I've been here many times and the food is usually piping hot, which I appreciate. My usual choices are fish and chips, swai, or salmon. Aside from once or twice, the fish is hot and fresh. The service is usually friendly and quick whether I'm eating there or taking out. The reason for just 1 star is both the app and their in-store ordering kiosk solicit tips. Tips are for places where you are seated and beverages and meals are brought to you. As a former server, I find these tip screens offensive. Rule of thumb... if I pay before I eat, no tip. Oh man this place was so good I went back Two more times before my trip was over! Each time I got the swai fish with the garlic butter sauce, seasoned tomato's and the dynamite fries (they had peppers and a sauce). I really loved how light and flaky the fish was, I'd never had Swai before and it was prepared great! The tomatoes and Ferrante was a tasty fresh side that came with about 6-7 slices of tomatoes and then like I mentioned the dynamite fries packed a lot of amazing flavor! The interior of this place was clean -- there was a short line as people were ordering on iPads but someone ended up taking my order in person to ease the line. The wait for the food wasn't too long, it felt fresh. On my second visit I did try a tea there which was standard and I also got chips and "salsa" which was actually cocktail sauce ... kind of a weird combo that I couldn't finish. As someone who loves Mexican food, I wasn't expecting an amazing salsa but I definitely didn't want cocktail sauce, it just didn't work. The chips were also super seasoned with a red powder but there wasn't much salt in them so they kinda fell a little flat.
