I felt badly that she had to deal with my party, which included two rowdy preschoolers and one messy toddler. Four stars across the board for quality of food, portion size (which was enough for two easily), friendliness and attentiveness of staff, and cleanliness of the restaurant. Great job to the staff! I had the carnitas de pollo and couldn't believe the size of the portion and the variety of vegetables was really great. The restaurant was very close to the hotel I was staying at (well within walking distance) and the reviews on Yelp and Rewards Dining reeled me in to give it a try; and really glad I did. I came here with a friend @ 5:30pm on Saturday. They don't seat two people except at the bar so we were directed there. We sat there for at least ten minutes before being acknowledged. Don't eat in this place. (Go to Avocados!) They lost 14 people in one table. There was only 3 kids among us. They didn't allowed us to sit together. there was a group of people with the same amount and they didn't separate them nor asked them to sit separately, just cause there was a little kid on the arms. Food was ok, we were there for 2.5 hours the first hour waiting for our food we only saw our waitress 3 times during the whole 2.5 hours. We had to flag other staff to get refills on drinks and chips while we waited. Then when we finally got our food it was ok but for the price you would think it would be better. The food: i have been back there several times. The food tasted very fresh, seasoned well, typical portions size, and average priced. The service: every time we have gone the wait staff has been friendly and attentive. Parking is tight. They have some spots to park in the garage but they are small spots that are almost always full. and parking is very scarce on the streets. However due to the freshness and flavor of the food, this is our new go-to for Mexican, and we don't even live in Everett. read more

The atmosphere is nice, the waitress was kind, and they let us use two of our Restaurant.com certificates for one table, since we were splitting the bill between two parties. So there's one star, if I must. Six of us went to celebrate my best friend's birthday, but she didn't get a song, hat, free dessert, nothin', even though that was the first thing we told our waitress. She mixed up our dishes, plus two of the orders were altogether wrong, the refried beans were very very watery, the portion sizes inconsistent, and when we asked for water, we were only given 2; there were 6 of us. All of our $12 margaritas were EXTREMELY weak and an absolute waste of good money. Getting the bill was a shock when we saw that the children's small milks were $3, and the refills were NOT free. Usually kids drinks are, and it would have been nice to know they weren't. So we were charged $12 for 4 small milks. Could have gotten 4 GALLONS at my corner store for that outrageous price. I did complain to the waitress about that and she got approval from her manager to cut that price in half. Still, dang. The food tasted fine, but it certainly wasn't anything exciting. Even with $30 off because of our certificates, it wasn't anywhere near worth what we paid. We won't ever return, and we won't miss it at all. There are far better options in Everett. I highly recommend Tampicos and El Paraiso. : ) read more

I like this place alot. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food and drink are very good! Taco Tuesday prices have gone up. All you can eat crunchy tacos were $7 when I was there yesterday. I usually go to el pariso for Mexican food in Everett, and have been nervous to go somewhere else out of fear of being disappointed....well I finally ventured here with some friends and let me say it was sadly very disappointing! The margaritas were sooo sweet, its hard to believe there was any tequila in them. Our friends ordered tequila shots that were half full. I got different fish tacos than what was listed on the menu and different than what my friend received. I wanted the breaded fried cod, and instead got fishy-smelling chopped fish that tasted like bad canned tuna. When we asked our waitress about it she told me I ordered the wrong thing and refused to do anything about it....that's not the way I remember handling customers when I worked in the customer service industry? Washington is not very well known for Mexican food, especially as you go further up the border to Canada! In Everett, you are pretty far away from Seattle. Mazatlan was one of the few places near a Hampton Inn that I stayed at that was within walking distance. The chips, salsa, guacamole, and fish tacos were very homemade in flavors. Wish I could give 0 stars! We ordered the fiesta platter today and it was missing the quesadilla that should have come with it! The nachos were so so, taquitos were ok but not fully flavorful. Bean dip was good and the chicken wings were the best item which was crispy and tasty. Also, a side of salsa would have helped this platter. I'm more than willing to order salsa separate but was not given the option. My rating is based on Uber eats. We were hoping for an amazing Mexican food experience but were sadly disappointed. In addition, the customer service was extremely lacking and better described as offensive. When I raised my concerns they were very snarky!!!! I will not be returning to this restaurant. There drinks are so small compared to other Mexican restaurants. I was expecting a larger drink. The salsa was sooooo chunky that I had to take my knife and fork and cut the salsa. I ordered, my dish (vegetarian) and they give me chicken and steak. I politely tell them its nor what I ordered and the server argued with me. He laughed and walked away. Had lunch with coworkers during a break from software training last Saturday, the food was good. However the service was the worst. There was a group of 6 of us, and nobody else in the restaurant. There was only one person working, and he was really slow. He also kept disappearing for extended periods of time. It took a really long time for us to get our drinks and food. Then when it came time for us to pay our bill the waiter was MIA. I got the spinach enchiladas which were actually really good, I was really satisfied with my food choices I just wish that it would not have taken so long for literally everything. Took my Mom there for dinner. Easy parking behind the building in a garage. Was noisy so not the best for an older lady who was hard of hearing. The service was prompt and friendly. The chips...just ok, not as crisp or fresh tasting as i'd prefer (but I'm picky). My hubby had the bacon wrapped shrimp. The bacon was nicely crisp, the shrimp a bit over cooked but they tasted good. The dish was smothered in 1/2 inch of gloopy cheese...so if you're not a true cheese addict, would avoid this dish or ask them to scale back a bit. I had the supposedly slow cooed pork, which had been fried and was dry as a bone, but the flavor was good. Came with the usual accompaniments...nothing to write home about here. Mom had the steak salad. She liked it, but for $12 bucks, I would have wanted more than just unseasoned steak strips on a bed of 'bag-o-salad' lettuce and nothing else. Compared to other standard 'bad Mexican' restaurants (you know the refried beans, rice, lettuce garnish, smother in cheese type Mexican), this isn't bad. About the same as Azteca, etc. And the portions are gigantic...to the point of being almost terrifying. But if you're looking for real Mexican, this isn't it. read more

I love coming to this place anytime I am in Everett. They are very kind and have excellent service. The place is well kept and clean, I love a clean bathroom!! The food is served timely and always hot. I usually order the fajitas which are absolutely delicious. My husband always gets a large combo which is large enough to feed two maybe even three. Actually everything we have ever ordered has always had a large portion size. The food is prepared with care and everything always looks fresh. My experience here was just a mudslide after another. My husband and I walked into the restaurant were served by a woman that looked to be just standing around and not doing anything but leaning against the wall most of the time. Then a tall waiter named Ricardo came and took our order and went away. Time and time went by and we never got our food. As I sat there my daughter asked me to take her to the bathroom so I did. As I came back from there I saw Ricardo and the girl just chit chatting away and not paying attention to any of the tables. They looked like they were dating just by looking at the way they touched each other hands and kissed each other at one point. I've been to this place a few times with friends and have always had a good experience. I've ordered the veggie fajitas, and they were some of the best veggie fajitas I've had. There's a lady there who makes fresh homemade corn tortillas! Another occasion I ordered the veggie enchiladas, and they were delish. I've also been to the late night happy hour on Fridays and their drink/appetizer specials are great. There's a DJ who plays good music from latin to Top 40 Friday nights which is hard to fine in Everett. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I plan to go back again. read more

Excellent Mexican restaurant in Everett. Had dinner here last night and I couldn't be more than pleased with the food, service and the cleanliness of the place. Perhaps because it was a Tuesday night with only a few customers but the food was fantastic and the staff was both friendly and very accommodating. They even allowed me to take photos of the place and gave a little free education of the paintings of famous artists on the walls. I am from Los Angeles on a business trip here in Everett and this place is a rare gem. Coming from Los Angeles where there is a vast Mexican and Latino population with all their best restaurants, the food at Mazatlan is not only delicious but lives up to all the traditional flavors south of the border. No Bueno. Menu was very large, and everything sounded the same so I asked the server to explain the differences. He couldnt. So I asked for a suggestion, and he says "it just depends on what you like." Well the whole menu is basically the same thing kiddo, just pick one for me and we'll call it good.. The food came out. I got a "chalupa", which is just a taco with a fluffy fried shell. It was a bit cold and for some reason there were little chunks of potato in everything... the beans, the rice, the meat on the chalupa... what gives?? And word to the wise, if youre nervous, calling someone "Amigo" 12billion times won't make things better... I would give this 2 1/2 stars if possible. Stopped in here for the 1st time tonight, we were driving around trying to figure out what we wanted for dinner. The parking garage was handy but tight spaces, pillars everywhere, hard for a large vehicle to park. Very friendly staff, was greeted by about 5 different people that brought different things to the table. They also bought us a sample to that nights meat from the special. It was real tasty pork, no spices or anything, you could actually taste the meat. I ordered the pollo a la crema which is my FAVORITE thing at Tampicos, I always order it at new places to compare. I still haven't found anyone that can meet or beat them. It came out with a brown sauce that was more like a gravy, this is supposed to be a cheesy cream sauce. It only had chicken & mushrooms, most usually have onions & green pepper's too. Not something I would order here again but I would try other things. My companion had a shrimp meal that looked good, he said it was OK. I also had a margarita, again it was OK, tasted like a premixed you could buy at the store. read more
