Love the food, but will only order to go or through doordash due to the persistent dirty mop water smell that permeates the entire restaurant. Definitely ruins your appetite. Typical deli fare. I usually eat the chili, which is probably out of a can, but I like the seasonings effect on the mystery meat. I've also eaten the Turkey sandwich with cranberry, which is good. I almost always order the Reuben to go and potato salad. This is not a toasted sandwich but the bread is almost always tough and stale. The Russian dressing was bland as was the potato salad. No dill pickle spear included which was usual in the past. Thank goodness I had some in the frig. If I knew another place in Arlington where I could get a Reuben I would try it. I love McAllister's! so the 3 stars are not for poor food quality, it's for the hit and miss experience...If you go when it's busy, like lunch time, expect to wait for a table because it's packed...but when you go at a less busy time, then your harassed by bored employees making rounds the dining area..I was here today and there were three employees walking in circles and I kid you not, each one of them asked me if I needed a refill and I became annoyed by the 3rd time asked because it's not like it was busy...I'm sure they heard and saw me tell the other two that came and asked me within minutes of eachother! They have gone SO downhill. It used to be good. I loved their wild berry lemonade and turkey club. They also had old Arlington memorabilia so it was fun to be at. Then I got an email saying that they would be closed to remodel. After they remodeled it sucked. No more memorabilia no more wild berry lemonade no more regular chips. Now the only have blackberry lemonade, McAllisters kettle chips with no salt and they freak out about tea. I am not a fan of tea but I have heard good things about it there so I will give that to them. And their cookies are AMAZING. Other than that it's been dirty in the store abound food has gone way downhill. I would recommend going to Jason's Deli or Which Wich instead. read more

I am a huge fan of McAlister's! They have the best sweet tea anywhere! I have fallen in love with most of their food. I have yet to find a bad soup or bad sandwich. Everything is very yummy. They are crazy busy at times, so you must be a little patient. The staff is very attentive and always in a hurry. They do their best to accommodate every need. The bathrooms are nice and clean (I think this is VERY important for a restaurant!). The atmosphere is fun and friendly. People of all ages seem to be enjoying themselves there. Their French Dip sandwich is excellent! The Chicken Panini is to die for. Oh, and don't forget about their giant chocolate chip cookies. This is good food you don't want to miss! read more

This McAlister's location is always my go to place! I've been coming for years. Great customer service. They always get my order correct. I've never been disappointed! I worked at a restaurant all throughout high school, so I'm all for giving younger folks the opportunity to gain essential work experience. However, if I had ever acted the way these employees did today I would have been fired immediately. The moment we walked in the door we were both being rushed and being neglected at the same time. It was my first time coming to this place, so I had a few questions about the menu and none of them were answered. Blank stares and snappy responses. Sure, you're busy- I get it, but I'm also a customer that deserves at least a little respect. I'm super thankful for the grown woman that took the time to clean our seating area and for apologizing about the mess. She deserves a raise. To the young ladies at the counter, I asked for a togo box, not for you to do a backflip. I spent almost 50 bucks on lunch, so I don't think it woulda killed you to hand me the box with a smile on your face instead of throwing it at me with your attention directed at your coworker. Customer service basics need to be addressed here before I will ever go back. We didn't receive one thank you, a smile, or even the slightest bit effort from anyone but the nice woman that cleans tables. Great first impression. read more

I ordered 4 assorted sandwich trays for a work event and quickly realized that we under-ordered. I called and spoke with the manager (I believe his name was Ricky). Anyways, I asked him if it would be possible to make 4 more trays ASAP and he told me that he would make it happen. When I walked into the shop about 30 minutes later, my 4 sandwich trays were prepared, bagged and ready to go! And on top of the quick service, he also helped me carry the trays to my car. I've only been once (a visitor on business) but I got the steak and cheese sandwich and it tasted fantastic! I would certainly buy this again. My coworkers had other dishes and they also enjoyed their orders. Went here for lunch today, was in a rush and it was beyond packed. There was a line just to get a seat so my coworkers and I sat outside. My thought was "well crap they sure as hell won't find us out here". Wrong. The servers delivered our meal in a timely manner, checked on us exactly when needed...ultimately the service when this place was super busy was fantastic. Walking in the employees greet you with big smiles and the place looks clean. Food was absolutely amazing! Ordered the southwestern turkey sandwich and my husband had the French dip sandwich. Best sandwiches I have had. The lemonade was so good. Not too sweet and not too sour. The sides we had were really good too. I have never had gravy like that for my mashed potatoes. My coworkers and I frequently make purchases from this location and usually we order the same thing. However today I opted for a fruit cup instead of my typical side of potato salad. Once it was time from my lunch I was surprised by the amount of fruit in my fruit cup. There was a total of 4 blueberries, 2 slices of strawberry and 4 medium sized pineapple chunks. As you may know there is an up charge of a dollar for a fruit cup. I called to make a complaint about the amount of fruit. I spoke with the shift manager by the name Laura or Laurel. She was extremely condescending, unprofessional and rude over the phone. She made it seem as if that is the normal size portion of fruit given as a side. I then requested a refund for the up charge for the fruit. She stated she can not process the refund over the phone because the refund amount would have to be more than a dollar and I would have to come in store for the refund. Which is completely absurd. I drove to the location to return my order. To only have to deal with her unprofessionalism again. Bottom line is do not order from this location. I have order from the NRH and Fort Worth location and I have never received that small of a ration fruit or I can assure you I would not be ordering it. I wish I would have taken a picture of the lack of fruit in my fruit cup before I returned my food. read more

Ive been to this location before and they used to be nice and attentive and clean but when I went in yesterday that was not the case :( The food is always awesome! But the place was very dirty and the whole time we were there no one came by to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything and when we ordered the cashier didn't look to happy and I asked for sweet tea no lemon and I received unsweet tea and a lemon :( usually I love going for their sweet tea and I would usually get a refill but like I said before no one came to check up on our table. This Mcalister's is probably the worst one in regards to the quality of the food. Staff and the atmosphere is nice but the food is a grade F compared to other Mcalister's I've been to. I don't know what type of training the Arlington cooks received but they need more. My spud ole never has enough chili even when I pay extra for extra chili. They completely left out the dressing for my club making it all dry. They ALWAYS mess up on to go orders (make sure to double check before you leave). If this is the only location (Arlington) you've been to, I encourage you to go another Mcalister's and see for yourself. You'll see how you'll been cheating on spending $12-$14 on a meal. read more
