Stopped in after landing at dfw. Food was really good. We a few different things. Ham steak & potatoes was cooked really well and had great flavor. Fried green tomatoes were so good. Now the biscuits they were dry like you need to have a drink ready when you eat them. Pancakes were soooo good. And my Bloody Mary tasted great. Our server was also very nice & attentive cannot remember her name but she was from Florida.

The line? Long. The wait? Short. The food? Heaven on Earth. I got the French Quarter Platter because I couldn't decide on sweet or savoy. So like, porque no los dos? It came with a Belgium waffle smoother in ACTUAL HUCKLEBERRY PRESERVES. (I'm obsessed with huckleberries.), 2 bacon, 2 egg, and this lovely potato side: country reds (& I will never settle for hash browns again!). Tip: don't even bother with the syrup. I ate in complete silence and cleared my plate. Chef kiss. No notes. Amazing.

My family originally tried to eat here on Mother's Day, but there was a two hour wait. My daughter and I finally went on a Friday afternoon. The Louisiana decor was very inviting being from New Orleans. Our server, Evelyn was super sweet very honest with menu suggestions. Unfortunately, the food options were not exactly what I expected for a Louisiana-themed restaurant. So much so, I ended up getting pancake, eggs and bacon. My daughter got the catfish and jambalaya. We also tried the "beignets." It immediately made me want to run, not walk to New Orleans to Cafe du Monde for the real thing! They were doughy in the middle and all of that fruit sauce was just too much. This was a really disappointing experience!

I'll preface by saying that I will return to give it another try, based on the way the business handled my concern during my visit. I will update my rating after my second visit. November 2025 1:20/30ish (they close at 2:30) Wednesday Parking : there is a parking lot for the business, and I saw street parking. If I'm not mistaken, Babes restaurant may share the same parking lot, so I could see this place being packed on the weekends during brunch. Pricing : average/high end. The breakfast platter was $17ish. A drink $4ish. Staff: the hostess greeted me and guided me to my booth, explained the menu, and let me know my server would be over shortly. My server was nice / bubbly. I had no concerns with staff during my visit. Cleanliness : they were cleaning up in preparation to close when I arrived, but I did not note any concerns with cleanliness. What I ordered : I kept it simple because I did hear that for a Cajun-inspired restaurant, they lacked the flavor. I ordered the Spiced Pumpkin Pie Pancake Platter (under "what's new"-- this item may be seasonal). It comes with eggs, which I ordered scrambled, hash browns (you have the choice between those or country reds. I asked which would be the most flavorful and she suggested the hash browns) and the andouille sausage (you have the choice of ham, bacon, or sausage). I'll start positively. The pancakes were SO good! I would definitely have that again. Unfortunately, I did not get to eat it all. My waitress did notice the pancakes were a little dry and offered to get me syrup. I would say ask for some extra salted caramel on the side as needed. 4.5/5 for the pancakes. The andouille sausage was good!! 4/5. Would reorder. The eggs were just eggs... even with the salt and pepper I added? I wouldn't have to have them again- very bland. 2/5 The hash browns were season-less as well. 2/5. I would not have to have those again. (She did ask me if I wanted to add peppers and onions, I believe, to the hash browns, but that would've been an up charge of 75 cents, and I personally do not believe the rating would have budged much, and I don't usually spruce up my hash browns in that way. The reason why I didn't get to eat my favorite thing on the plate : I cut into my pancake and found a hair. I pushed the plate aside and when she came back around and asked me if I needed a box, I politely let her know that I found a hair in my food, and she could just bring me the check. She came back and let me know that the bill was taken care of for the inconvenience, but I still wanted to tip her, so I asked her to ring me up a drink, and I added gratuity to that. I would say that based on other reviews, and the experience I've had so far, I project that this is a place where you'd have to bring your own Cajun seasoning for the food if you want the flavor, but I'll know for sure next visit. Personally, if that is the verdict, I won't be patronizing for a 3rd visit. It's truly a bummer because their menu has so much potential, and when you SEE the dish, you'd expect the flavor. Hopefully, next year when I return they implement the feedback. I would like for this to become a staple for me.

I went here during the week of their soft opening & just recently. Both times the service was awesome, the staff really runs the place well. Maintaining a fun atmosphere in a fast paced environment, speedy yet still delivering great dishes! It can get busy but they worked through the wait quickly, food comes out fast but is still made to order. Chico (I hope I got his name right), was our waiter one of the times... he's knows how to work his tables & keep them smiling. No complaints on the food, the first my friend had a sandwich & I had the Mississippi skillet. Huge portions, the skillet I ate some but also took a home a full box! The huckleberry muffins are a win! Second time around, omelets & a monte cristo. I have missed monte cristos so much, there's a few places here that serve them but this will be my go to place. Clean restaurant, prices are more than fair, excellent experience each time. Parking is a bit of a hassle but that's downtown Arlington for you. We'll be back!

When I walked in I immediately loved the cozy vibe. It definitely feels like a great spot for a family brunch. The atmosphere set the tone, and I was genuinely excited to try the food. I really wanted to love this place... but I left contemplating whether I'll be back. We started with the Mardi Gras Beignets. They were a little too doughy for me and lacked powdered sugar. I also wasn't a fan of the huckleberry, strawberry, and peach toppings as they were a bit overbearing. I think I was expecting more of a true New Orleans-style beignet, so maybe I set my expectations too high. I ordered the Mississippi Skillet (ham, bacon, sausage, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms topped with Monterey Jack cheese). It wasn't bad, but I've definitely had better. The skillet had potential, but it lacked flavor. The Huckleberry biscuit on the side was dry, which was disappointing. My friend ordered the medium-well 1/2 lb Ribeye Steak platter because the waitress mentioned it was a favorite. They requested scrambled hard eggs, potatoes in a separate bowl, and pancakes. Unfortunately, the ribeye was extremely thin, dry, and had absolutely no flavor. The eggs came out scrambled soft, and the potatoes were not separated as requested. Overall, based on the menu and the cozy atmosphere, I had high hopes. The ambiance delivered, but the food just didn't meet expectations. I left feeling disappointed, especially because I truly wanted this to be a new brunch favorite. Would I try it again? Maybe but it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

The service here is amazing! I tried their andouille sausage platter. It was a bit too salty but the eggs and potatoes helped with it. For the crab Benedict, the flavors were good. The food portion was huge and the price was affordable.

I came here for a solo breakfast date . The food was amazing and they have a hefty menu ! They also have nice size portions. The service provided was great. The waitress was very tentative

So apparently this is the spot everyone in Arlington Foodies has been raving about. I walked in ready for a food epiphany... walked out like, "eh." Service? A+. Food? B- with extra credit needed. They claim "Cajun roots," but then our server explained it as "Cali style with Texas portions." I'm still trying to figure out what that means besides big plates, mild vibes. Beignets - 3/5. Not even close to NOLA-level magic. More doughy than fluffy, but at least the fruit purées (strawberry, peach, huckleberry) and custard gave them a little glow-up. "Nawlins Breakfast Platter" - 3/5. Bacon, eggs, potatoes, and pancakes. Sounds foolproof, right? Pancakes actually slapped with the salted caramel + candied pecans combo, but the potatoes showed up bland and under-seasoned like they forgot what "Cajun roots" even means. Huck's Gator Juice - 2/5. Supposed to "have a bite." Honey, this had less bite than a teething baby. Basically just fruit juice with a splash of regret. Overall: Go for the friendly service and Insta-worthy menu names, but if you're expecting full-on Cajun flavor... New Orleans called and said, "Try again."

Nice atmosphere. We came on opening weekend so they were still working out some kinks. The music is a little silly and very much a caricature one their theme. The food was pretty good, the standout being the pancake. My spouse had the crab cakes benedicts. He said they were fine but he'll probably order something different if we come back

They've found a way to keep me from wanting to try out any other brunch establishments. I believe their waffles have me under a spell. And why is the iced caramel macchiato so good? I'm drooling just thinking about this place. No seriously, you cannot go wrong here. They even gave my 10month old baby the cutest water cup with little fishes on it. I cannot wait to go back. You will feel so welcome from the moment you walk in. Please keep it up, I enjoy coming here!

Great Mother's Day breakfast! Great waitress, wonderful decor and the menu was full of large portion dishes. Will be coming back.

A delicious brunch spot i will be frequenting. They have a good selection of foods to chose from offering Barajas dishes as well. The iced latte is good and and the fried pickles were cooked perfectly and lightly breaded but crunchy
