Overpriced and it's a joke the food you get for what you pay . And food tatstes like straight from a freezer . Shame on them !

We used to grab takeout from this location quite a bit and stopped going for a while because the orders were always incorrect (no chicken on the chicken caesar salad, no dressings, etc). I had to go to this Restaurant because my work group was going. I was dreading it because I haven't eaten at one single one that I have liked. I decided I couldn't go wrong with a salad. Wrong! The dirt on the lettuce was visible so I knew the salad leaves hadn't been washed. Black gross dirt was on the salad leaf so I made a comment to the coworker that wanted to go here and made it very visible for all of them to see. Ugh!!! Their tea is good. read more

We stopped coming here eons ago and couldn't remember why. We decided to give it a go and now remember why we may have stopped coming. In the time it took me to get my sammich, my wife birthed three children. It shouldn't take that long to get a sammich. Probably won't come back again. It took so long, I haven't even eaten the sammich. I'm typing this as we wait...it's been about 25 minutes now. I don't care how good it may be, no sammich is worth a 30 minute wait. You may wonder, why not go somewhere else?? We've already paid... so we are committed......................................................................................Sorry about that. I love McAlister's! They have a great variety on their menu so everyone can find something. The tea is out of this world and employees will stop by every now and then to ask if anyone needs refills. Their desserts are really good too! It's a great lunch spot after shopping and it's great for a more casual dinner too. read more

The time I visited this deli the sandwiches were great and the staff were very friendly. No complaints.

I travel through Columbia a lot and have stopped here to eat about 4-5 times. The food is good and the service is nice, however the restrooms are always in bad shape. I eat lunch at 11:30 so only a few customers have arrived since opening that morning. But the trash can is always overflowing with paper towels onto the floor, the toilets are visibly dirty (inside and out) , and the floor is filthy. Today it was the same once again and with a large section of smeared, dried around the floor in the toilet area. Clearly this room had not been mopped in days. I thought maybe it was just the ladies restrooms, but my husband said it's the same thing in the men's facilities too. The manager really needs to check the restrooms before they open each morning to make sure they have been cleaned. This totally makes you loose your appetite if you have to wash up before you eat. Don't think that I'll be dining there again. read more

Great service. Had great conversation with a young gentleman while my friend and I were waiting for our food to go. We had been traveling from the beach back home to Asheville and found the conversation a great break from our long drive. Also, there was another male worker who took my friend's order who offered to through my cups away while I was getting into our car. Very helpful employees which for me goes a long way. As I sit here and try to enjoy my salad that sounded ever so great, I am thinking of all of the chances I have given McAllisters. The customer service is absolutely fantastic and that's probably why I keep coming back to find something I like, I ordered the new southwest bbq salad today and I am so unimpressed. The chicken resembles plastic and is extremely cold. Not what I expected for an $8 salad. I will say however the hot sandwiches can be delicious. Whatever you do, steer clear of ordering anything with chicken in it at all. Come on McAllisters, I'm sure you can afford to bring decent chicken into your booming business. read more

Love McAllister's food but won't eat at this one anymore. The quality has really gone down on the food, never served the same way twice (i.e., no cheese, no salad dressing on the side, bread not toasted, old-tasting potato salad) Our work used to order for 20+ people and we stopped since they could never get the orders correct and we had to run back to get missed orders or corrected orders. Also, too much turn over in staffing, if the manager is out of sight, they will stand around talking to each other while customer's wait to order. No thanks. read more

The service here is terrible. The food is hit or miss. While I've had good things here, it's so hit or mess, I rarely have the urge to go back. I usually get the macaroni and cheese and a salad. Sometimes a salad comes with cucumbers and tomatoes and croutons, and sometimes the salad comes with only cucumbers and cheese. Often the wait is long, and it's just not worth it. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. I've been going to this location for years and have always gotten the bacon and cheese spud. Today I got it to go because I've been craving it for days. When I got home I saw that my potato that I paid almost $9 for only has cheese on about 50% of it and it's a pretty small spud as it is. I had to add my own cheese and put it back in the oven. I'm probably just going to be making my own at home for awhile. That's way too much for a small potato with barely anything on it. read more

Needed a quick lunch and to go. Used Yelp to find McAlister's. We drove up, walked in an ordered. Since we didn't know the menu, I thought the choices were overwhelming. The counter help was courteous and explained the sandwiches and other options. We ended up with four sandwiches. The Memphian had roast beef,ham,turkey&provolone cheese with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard on a whole wheat roll. The grilled chicken club with bacon, lettuce & tomato. The spicy southwestern chicken club had a sweet peach and chipotle sauce and cheddar cheese. The turkey club with bacon lettuce and tomato. All was very fresh and well made. All came with a choice of side dish. We got old fashion potato salad, mac&cheese, pasta salsa and a bag of Lays chips. Packaged well to travel. Our order came in less than ten minutes. While waiting I looked over the dining room. The dishes I saw the other diners eating all looked appetizing. I gave it four stars because I wish the sandwiches had a choice of size and bread. Extremely awkward!! I went there with my daughter before she left to go back to college and I felt like I was in a library and couldn't have a conversation with her without everyone listening because there wasn't any music playing and you could hear everyone else's conversation around you! This place is crap. First they like to mix there veggie chili with there regularly chili but still serve it as vegetarian. We decided to give them one more chance and got the chili nachos when we got home it was a cup if cheese with chunks of tomato. My fiance got mac and cheese and turned out it was nothing but cheese there was no noodles. We will never go back here read more

ordered a spud max - found a hair in the sour cream. my girlfriend ordered a king club - found 2 blond hairs in it as well. ordered the french dip - disappointed considering the price. don't think i will be going back there anytime soon. read more
