    Cuban Sandwich
    Andrew G.

I placed a delivery order for a Cuban Sandwich from the McAlister's Deli in Hilliard. The sandwich itself looked great when I opened the takeout box. The bread looked fresh. When I bit into it, the sandwich was very tasty. The top half of the bread was very crunchy on the top and soft after the crust. Unfortunately, the bottom half of the bread got soggy from the pulled sour pork they used. The portion of the meat and cheese were not bad, but at the price paid, seemed a bit light. Overall, the sandwich was good. I wish the pork was sliced, rather than pulled, like other Cuban sandwiches I have had. But, I will be ordering again as I want to try their other sandwiches.

The Italian Sandwich and Savannah Chopped Salad

We could have made our meal at home... nothing special about it. Meat in the Italian sandwich was cut way too thick, and the dressing made it soggy unlike other sandwich places, probably because the bread isn't toasted. It also appeared that instead of the grilled chicken that you can see in the savannah salad on the website, I was given shredded lunch meat instead! It was my first time here but I don't think I'll be back to try something else considering my experience. The iced tea was good.

The food was mediocre, somewhat cold in the middle of the sandwich. The service was unbelievably poor. There were only 2 clean tables in the place, and I had asked a guy for napkins and he literally brought out 10 napkins wadded up in a ball.

    People waiting

Well over 20 minutes and still no food. Place was not busy at all when we walked in. Maybe three couples in here. I think 9 of us are now standing here waiting for our food. 3.4 stars is far too generous. Panda across the street smelled so good when I walked in. I should have listened to my nose...

I love this place. Okay Keto people run to this place. They are not fooling around. Any sandwich on this menu will work, just be aware of the sauces. I ordered the BLT-A. Bacon about a pound, Lettuce Sliced tomatoes No bun They threw in ranch dressing on the side. This was a lot of food for the price. Give them a try, I recommend it. The ladies in the back do a great job. One of my favorite places to go.

So close to 5 stars... So close... McAllister's King Club is the biggest, best value for a club sandwich anywhere. I purposely took a picture of the back side of the sandwich, because most pictures are that perfect shot of the middle, where every sandwich looks amazing. But this is the worst angle of the sandwich and it's still so pretty... I outlined one HALF of the sandwich. Yeah -- That's one half. The other side looks smaller because of the way it's crammed into the to-go box, because it's so gigantic. This thing is a beast. I've also had the New Yorker, which is pretty good. And I should mention that the potato salad is a great side. The only reason I took away one star is because I've also ordered the Memphian which is also awesome--when it's made right. But, two times I've had to send it back when it came to me with literally just bread and meat (no lettuce, tomato, onion, or cheese), and another time the bread was too stale to eat. This should be a smaller deduction, but Yelp doesn't allow partial stars, and I can't give it 5 in good conscious knowing they've gotten my order wrong a few times. But if the King Club sounds good to you, you are going to get a 5+ star sandwich every time. Again, that's HALF of the sandwich I outlined...

$14 dollars for a French dip sandwich that was smaller than my fist and it was tough.

Eh. Salad portion is huge- sandwich portions are better than panera- prices are high in my opinion. Just a mediocre deli.

I opted for the Por que no el Puerco on the cashier-recommended pretzel bun. The flavors and the layers were sensational. A great bite without being too heavy or too greasy. The pretzel bun was also a great choice - some salt but not trying to actively dehydrate you with every bite. The Bear bottled latte was also quite good. It was a very unique flavor profile with obviously lots of banana but it took a little getting used to being mixed with the bitterness of the coffee and some of the nuttiness of the hazelnut and oat milk. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to get it again, but with the limited coffee options here, I wouldn't not get it either. Overall, a really solid place to stop. Not necessarily the best place to go if you're looking for breakfast AND coffee, but certainly a great local joint to check out!

There is a vendor out in the parking lot that offers limited coffee options. The line in Bear Bagels was long. You can tell they are a favorite. I ordered the lox bagel. It was tasty and filling. There were some delicious sounding bagel sandwich options, it was hard to pick.
