Inside total redone since the last time we were in. Tea is now self serve as well as soda. Lemonade is still served by an employee. I got a pecanberry salad with raspberry vinaigrette. It was a big salad. Love the candied pecans. Husband got half ham and cheese and nacho basket. Again the nacho cheese was thick and could have used some cream or milk to thin it out a bit. Service was ok not great. To be honest surprised this location is still open. Never busy when we've been here.

The Veggie sandwich with added spring mix

I love coming to McAlisters for the Veggie sandwich! As someone who doesn't eat meat, I appreciate this veggie option that is filling and has fresh produce. Other places have vegetarian sandwiches that are simply sad. I used the app to place a pickup order and when I picked it up, the place was packed for a Wednesday afternoon! I've never seen this place so crowded. Although my order wasn't ready by the estimated time, I only waited about 5 minutes for my food. Considering how busy they were, I didn't mind at all. P.s. I highly recommend downloading the McAlister's app since they constantly send me coupons and deals!

Ranch cup less than half filled

My sister and I each got grilled chicken salads with ranch. Our bill was $23. We both noticed the ranch cups were not even half filled and not enough for a large salad. I asked for more. He said he could give me one but he would have to charge if I needed more. I am not a drown my salad kind of girl. I understand restaurants charge for extra dressing, but at least at McDonalds the sauce cups are filled consistently. Twenty three bucks is a lot for two salads when you have to pay for dressing. If filling the dressing cups to the 1/3 line is a cost saving measure, Wendy's is a WAY better value if you don't want to just eat naked lettuce.

My boyfriend was fond of a different location from many years back when he lived in the area so we came for lunch. They're located in a shopping center with tons of parking. It's very large and cleans inside. They have plenty of seating both inside and out. It's really cold inside, even though it was so hot outside I had to get my sweater after being inside for only a few minutes. The lady working at the counter had a bit of an attitude...she wasn't friendly at all, didn't smile and didn't make any eye contact. It felt uncomfortable. It was a Monday afternoon and not busy at all. My boyfriend and I both order the loaded spuds. They were just o-k. We didn't finish and had no desire to take the leftovers. The food was underwhelming and the vibe inside was just weird and uncomfortable. The food came out fast so I think if you work nearby, it could make sense to come here for lunch.

This location has a huge outdoor dining area, 12 large tables with 4 chairs per table and they are not placed close together. The indoor dining room seems larger than other locations as well. I arrived around 11:45 am before the lunch rush and parking spots were a premium but a few were still available near the restaurant. The parking lot shares itself with other businesses and buildings nearby. Most people stood in line (there was a sign where to line up if you came in the side door through the outdoor seating area) to order from the five cashiers at the counter. There is an option to go ahead and sit down at a table and use their app to order but I didn't see anyone choosing that option. The line moved very quickly since there were five cashiers separate from the To Go area. I discovered their Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich at the Columbus, IN location in April of this year and ordered it again today. I LOVE this sandwich. The croissant is light and fluffy. The grilled chicken is thoroughly cooked. I was never a fan of honey mustard until I tried it unbeknownst to me on this sandwich and now I'm a fan of the sauce if it's lightly spread which it is on this particular sandwich. I've never particularly liked mayonnaise so honey mustard is a great substitute and compliments the grilled chicken very well. Now I know why it is always offered as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders. The restroom was spotless and extremely clean. All the modern hands free updates were in place on all the equipment.

The lunch is filling and service efficient. This was my first visit and I arrived army before the busy lunch crowd. I was a little confused, where and how to order and the clerks were not very friendly or helpful. They preferred that I download the app and order from my table but I chose to order from the counter and wait. I ordered the pick 2 lunch for $9.29 with the McAlister Club and tortilla soup. The food did come out quickly. The sandwich, served on whole wheat toast, was lackluster with little flavor. It was filling. The tortilla soup was tasty/spicy but it was more of a sauce than a soup. They also served bagged tortilla chips on the side which were overly salty. The pickle was good. The dining area is very clean with plenty of seating. There was plenty of parking outside.

    Savannah chopped salad

Ordered pick up order ahead of time chicken tortilla soup cup came with approximately 4 chips- if you go in and sit down they definitely give you more as well as the salad dressing with the Savannah chopped. Food is great but you'll get jipped if you don't order in.

It has been a while since I have been to a McAllister's Deli, and always enjoyed their food and iced tea. Their ambiance is very nice and upscale compared to Panera bread. I have always been impressed with the service at McAlister's. They treat the customers right and with respect. The staff are very professional, friendly, and always willing to help you out with a suggestion on the menu. For dinner, I decided to try the home style lasagna soup and the pecanberry salad. Both were fantastic and very fresh! The lasagna soup was incredible and probably the best soup I have had in a while. The pecanberry salad was healthy and delicious. The vinaigrette dressing was perfect with the salad. The chicken on the salad was perfect and extremely fresh! I had the unsweetened iced tea to drink which McAllister's is known for their iced tea. It was refreshing and very good! The iced tea is amazing and highly recommended if you go to McAllister's. Everything is good at McAllister's Deli, so you will not be disappointed if you dine here for lunch or dinner. It is price worthy and healthy depending on what you order. You will love it!

We waited 15 minutes while being the only people in the store. Our sandwiches were pitiful. I didn't even try to eat mine out of fear of getting sick. The guy was kind but unfortunately nothing else was decent. We paid $23 for nothing.

Veggie Club on Gluten-Free bread (& the rotten avocado)

I wish I could give zero stars. This McAlister's is near my workplace so I used to place pickup orders here often & take it back to work to eat. Not anymore after my experience today. I thought my veggie club tasted bad today, so after eating a couple of bites, I took off the bread only to discover a completely rotten avocado underneath. There is no way the person making this sandwich didn't notice this. Health inspectors need to check this place out asap. I wonder how many customers were also served completely rotten avocados today. Unacceptable. I called them immediately & they were very nice about it, but I was surprised that they seemed so unfazed about the extent of the rot. This never should've been served in the first place. Horrible quality control.

Although this isn't my first time at this location, I really enjoy going to this McAllisters. I eat fairly healthy (on the weekdays.. that is.. lol) and I just got done studying and wanted something yummy and light to eat. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken club and it was good! I probably will order it again. This is the perfect place to go when you want warm and light food.. I avoid going to fast food restaurants so this fits my lifestyle perfectly. My other favorite meals to get here is the Spuds, salads, and the McAllisters club! You will not be disappointed if you order any of those. I got my food to go tonight as it was fairly late and the manager was extremely nice to me. She ensured that my order was correct and also greeted me by my name several times.. which I thought was very personable. I will be back at this location

A huge variety of vegetarian options (plus meat add ons, for the meat eaters), and everything we tried was delicious. The forbidden rice bowl was a particular favorite. Prices are reasonable too. The interior is bright and fun. They're in the strip mall at 86th with the Noral Target, so there was plenty of parking. We each ordered separately, but they nicely put our order on the same overall table ticket so that it was delivered at roughly the same time. I hadn't been here before, and was excited to try it. You order at the front counter then they bring it to our table. The menu can be a little daunting if you aren't sure what you want. I chose a chicken enchilada bowl, but was then told they were out of cheese. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so I just ordered the avocado toast. (see pics) Our food came fairly quickly. I will say, my coworkers' dishes looked good. I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. For $9, it was a sinlgle slice of bread, only very lightly toasted. The jammy egg was maybe 1 hard boiled egg, chopped up on top, and it was cold. It did have shredded cheese over it (not sure why that couldn't have been used in my enchilada bowl?) . It also tased like it had a lot of "everything bagel" spices on it, and was overall fairly salty. So it was a little disappoining. And I left hungry. But I wasn't in the mood to order anything else. My coworkers had sweet potato fries (I tried some - really good!), and different bowls that looked good, so I would give them another try sometime, but the avocado toast did not live up to expectations. #ReviewsByRL

We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

However the last three visits I have had three different dishes (including ones I had order previously) and all three have tasted like cooking oil. Today I had the caprese toast. I decided to add salmon for added protein. Ya'll, when you see the word 'caprese', you think fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, right? Not cooked, right? Well every item except some mint was cooked. Mushy apples, mushy tomatoes.... coated in a fowl smelling oil. The mushy-ness of it all got to the bread underneath. Then the salmon on top.... it was salmon but it was very, very smoky and it was shredded to appear like.... hate to say it.... cat food. Cat food instantly popped in my mind when I saw my plate. The item I used to love the sweet potato hash but it now has the same problem as the caprese toast. No flavor except that of cooking oil. I also ordered a kids plate with scrambled eggs. Eggs arrived with obvious signs of being over cooked with brown burn marks. Fine for a fried rice at a Chinese restaurant, maybe. But really? This is a brunch place that is supposedly 'health minded'. Eggs shouldn't be dry. I'm sure they also tasted like cooking oil but I didn't try them. I agree with another reviewer that the descriptions of dishes could be better. A cooked caprese??? I wouldn't have ordered it. Two stars are only beause the service here is decent.
