I ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup, ice tea and a brownie. Only thing good was the brownie and it was not prepared there. Anyway, I go here quite often for a fairly inexpensive alternative to fast food. I've tried most everything on the menu and it's all really tasty. I recommend getting salad dressings on the side because they tend to overdress them. This is by far the WORST McAlister's in the area. Head over to Castleton for way better service. Unfortunately this is the closest to our office. We used to spend hundreds of dollars a month on this place a month. Well they lost our business and did not care at all. The last time we called in (9/11/2018) we requested that they write the names on each order because they will mess it up EVERY time and/or forget something. The first person we talked to told us they don't do that. Then told us that they charge a dollar per person to write a name on each order. We asked to speak to a manager and they refused to take care of us even tho we explained that they mess up our order every time we don't name it, we shouldn't be punished because they can't simply get a 8-10 person order correct! The manager refused to help us and claimed this is a "company policy" there is nothing she can do which is a lie because we have ordered and had it named before and did not have to pay. I have to fight with them every time I call in. So we finally cave and only because getting an order together for a whole office is time consuming and if we didn't order then, we wouldn't be able to get another order in somewhere else in time for our lunch hour! Then when they gave the phone to a new person to take our order, they told us it was going to be 50 cents per order! When we asked why someone just told us it was a dollar at first they said uhhh I don't know!? Well we get our food and guess what, THEY MESSED UP. Shocker... so we paid extra money so that they could royally mess up our order. The time before that was even worse. I asked for the same thing. For our names to be on each order (8 people). And when I asked to speak to the manager the woman hung up on me. I called back 6 times and I could hear her, then she would slam the phone back to hang up on me. So my employee called from her cell phone and surprise she answered. She handed the phone to me and pretended to be the manager. I asked to speak to the manager and she pretended so I went along and told her the "employee" kept hanging up on me. And she lied and said there's something must wrong with OUR phones.. I told her our phones are just fine. Grrr. Well you get the point, nightmare. AVOID. They need to restaff. Do some training. And remember, you're in the damn service industry. This review is for this location only. All other locations get 4 stars. You're better off using your time to go to a nearby restaurant. DO NOT go between the hours of 12 and 2 (nightmare!!!). On more than one occasion I have waited in line for over 20 minutes and then waited 30-35 minutes for my food. There was a man that placed a larger "to go" order on the phone and still had to wait 40 minutes!! I walked in there today (last time I will ever come back) and was in the regular line for over 10 minutes, and I was told to go order my "to go" food over in that line and it was faster. WRONG!!!! The people behind me in the other line was already ordering (do I go cut in the line where I should have been?????). I waited for over 20 minutes and got nowhere. Long story short - my daughter and I left without placing our order. I usually do not leave bad reviews, but this location is lacking something to make it as efficient as their other locations. Yet another terrible McAlisters experience. We tried to order online for curbside. Only ordering 2 sandwiches. The online ordering system was very slow in loading but we were already committed and several minutes into the process. We continued for 25 minutes only to enter payment info to then let the order process for another 3 minutes. Of course we got an error message that it couldn't be completed. Tried again. Same error. It's frustrating as this is the first time we've ordered from there in a year. read more

Have always been a fan of McAlister's when I'm in the mood for soup and sandwich. Dined in with my family and we should have left when the employees were arguing with who had to take our order. My husbands sandwich had so much mustard it was all over the bottom and oozing out he couldn't eat it. Wow, their standard drink size is really big! Clean, fast service, with those little pagers that let you know when your food is ready. I got a veggie club, which was tasty if a little bland (they could have used more avocado, or mustard, or something) and a chocolate chip cookie, and the cookie was quite nice. The food is good, the service is quick, and the tea is always better than I expect. It's a clean place, it's got (mostly) reasonable prices (my wife and I spent $18 for the two of us, so definitely not an everyday type place, but good for Sunday lunch.) I always think the portions are too small for the prices, but I always leave feeling full, so I guess I can't complain. The sandwiches are smaller and flatter than the pictures (as in every restaurant) but again, they're enough to fill you up. I always enter feeling vaguely anxious, and leave feeling satisfied and pleasantly surprised. I don't know why I always have such low expectations for McAllister's, but clearly it deserves better, and it's never let me down. read more

This place is wonderful. I base my reviews on the quality of the food and the service provided. Although McAlister's is not a "sit-down to be served" restaurant (you order at the counter and they bring your meal to you) the service here is wonderful. They are very attentive to getting you whatever you need. Kids eat free on Monday and the management seems to love having the kids around. They play and joke with our boys and make it really comfortable to be there. Although McAlisters is a chain, it feels like a family run place to me. The food is also very good. My faves are the French Dip and the Orange Cranberry Club. The iced tea is great and the cookies/brownies are not bad either. read more

Went to McAlister's for the first time in December, Never heard of one but it was just down the road that my hotel was at. Thought i'd give it a try. Good sized menu and the prices seemed fair. The people working at this location were very nice when i said i've never been here before. Sandwiches were good sized and very filling. The drinks were huge! The place itself was nice, I was kind of baffled by the fast food style ordering, yet having people ask how the meal was and to get refills. It was a good stop and a nice place to try if youre in the market for a good sandwich and don't want to go to your typical sub sandwhich shop. read more

We had the great fortune of being served by a lovely young man, Chaz. Anyone who comes here would be lucky to meet him. Over a rainy lunch, a few of my coworkers and I went out for a quick lunch. Chaz was the kindest and warmest person I've encountered. He worked with our big group seamlessly and even threw in a complimentary cookie - just to brighten my day! Went 4 days in a row for lunch. The first day had muffuletta which was by far my best lunch here. Also tried the southwest turkey, Italian salad, chopped salad and various Rice Krispies. This place is pretty good. Their half and half combo gives you the best of two worlds, a sandwich, spud, soup, or salad whatever you choose. We are here two days in a row, due to being at a hotel very close, thus being convenient. The first day we ate there we both did a choose two, one with a 1/2 salad (southwest) and 1/2 sandwich (Rueben) and the other 1/2 salad (southwest) 1/2 soup (vegetable). Both were delicious, food came out quickly and the staff were super attentive and helpful. The second day, one persons did a choose two 1/2 salad (Savannah chopped) and 1/2 soup (vegetable) and the other had a bowl of the potato soup. The salad was ok, but not as good as the southwest. The vegetable soup was overly thick this time around. The potato soup was too thick, nothing like a soup, very weird. The potato soup was ordered in a bread bowl, but the person working the register was repeatedly not listening to our order and read nothing back to us, so we're weren't terribly surprised when the soup came out and wasn't in a bread bowl. Based on our experience the service and food isn't consistent. Judging on the first day, I'd eat there regularly, based on the second day alone I'd never eat there again. I would like to think the second day was a fluke and will eat at the restaurant again. read more

I much prefer McAlister's to their main competition--Panera. The McAlister's menu is MUCH more diverse, with more salad and sandwich options, bread that isn't as fatty and nut-filled, plus baked potatoes--yum! I have a special place in my heart for McAlister's sweet tea. Preferably peach-flavored! But back to the review...I love this McAlister's. Although the location makes it a busy lunch spot, it's easy to pre-order and pick up, without fear of them getting the order wrong. My food is always prepared well, and my salad today was fresh and tasty! They have tables outside if you have time to enjoy a longer meal, and the staff is always courteous and friendly while being efficient. I eat here all the time because I can walk from my office. The service has fallen drastically as of late. Several new team members here that seem not to care. So I send it back now I've been sitting here another 10 minutes. apparently their service is not a priority. If you plan to go anywhere for lunch, I would not go to this place, because you will be late and everything you do for the rest of the day. I give this one star because the service sucks!!!!! Even though the service was very slow, the manager came out and compensated us with a VIP card. This means the next time I come in, me and the person I am with eat for free I think I will give the place a 3 for the delay. Awful experience. My friend and I went for lunch (which, granted, is busy). The line went all the way to the door, and they had 2 people at registers. After we ordered, we sat at a table for forty minutes without receiving our food. We finally went to the counter to ask what was going on. They said that they didn't have the soup we ordered. So... were they ever going to tell us? Or would we have sat there even longer? We waited another 10 minutes, and no one came to the table. Then we finally stood by the counter until we caught someone's attention and they finally got us our food (all the while telling us that this wasn't their fault).
