The service is friendly, the food is okay, the tea is good but overall it isn't worth the price. 7.49 for a 6" sandwich and a bit of plain chips is just too expensive in my opinion. It wasn't anything I couldn't make myself at home (that is how I justify to my husband to eat at a sandwich place) To get soup with your sandwich look at paying an extra 2.39. It was alright but for the amount of food and their prices lately there are other good options in the area. read more

I have complained about this place in the past, but as of late it's been great, the food, the management and all the staff. One employee who stood out today was Keri. The place was packed when we walked in and in the past that seemed to always spell a bad experience, but not today. We had a clean table and our food was brought out as ordered promptly by Keri with a smile. As we sat there eating, I couldn't help from noticing that she seemed to be everywhere and doing the work of several. These days, it's rare to see employees work like what I witnessed today and it was refreshing to see. Another employee who has been impressive is Zaehya, great attitude and nice smile. Like I said, I have complained about this place in the past, but not now, seems like everything is on the up and up and with two people like Keri and Zaehya I feel like it will only get better. read more

If at first service does not succeed, try, try, upper management, and win! McAlister's is '5 Star Food', in the 'quick food' category of establishments! Some like myself, when really hungry, call it this because it is as healthy and non stomach upsetting food as you can get, quickly! But what REALLY impresses me about McAlister's is their response to service, in particular, with an issue I had recently with some poor service. Keeping in mind I have employed people in my business for over 40 years, I understood their predicament. When I first had my issue, I tried calling the store to bring the constant situation to their attention and the response to my issue was on the verge of insulting (I'm really not hard to please). But it was corporate management that reached out to me quickly and speedily and rectified the situation much as I would do, and this my 'hungry for service' loving friends, is what it's all about! Management at the store level SHOULD have done more, and SHOULD have trained and given their employees more latitude on fixing an order than what they provided (from what I surmised). I can only hope my notes and review can be used to improve on the resolving of customer issues, such as mine. If their customer service can match their food, consistently, they will be unstoppable in their quest for 5 Star Status in everyone's sky-dine! Even with service not up to par, not on one occasion, but several occasions, I would continue to visit our McAlister's in Longview, because the food is that good. When upper management decided to get involved, things started to happen. You've heard it said, 'good help is hard to find'. This is SO true. Fortunately upper management still has a heartfelt concern for issues, in this case 'Amy', and addressed my concern and assured me the issue would be looked at. My issue in a recap. The food at McAlister's is one of my favorites, in particular the Savanna Chop Salad. Just the best! It's ALWAYS great, and NEVER upsets my stomach like some restraint food does. Even their Cesar (anything) puts a smile on my face without a gurgle in my belly! Over some time put take out orders would miss the important parts of the order. I finally had enough and Yelped my dissatisfaction and low and behold I got an email. Several correspondences later, I felt a part of the McAlister's family and continue to patronize the place as I'm as forgiving as I've been graced with the same in my life. Did I mention their food is BAM! AWESOME? Thank you for the great response to an issue that made me a ' Star' supporter of one of my favorite quality, quick and quelicious food establishments in our town! Their food has always been five star! Even if it is not, a quick comment will draw notice and the round will be corrected! It's just great when the service matches the food at a place like McAllister's. It's not just fast food, because it is fast, it's good food, fast! Great job McAlister's Deli! read more

One of my favorite spots! I love their salads, especially the Pecan Berry Salad. Their nacho basket is a great appetizer for the family, not that you'll be waiting long. Favorite sandwich is the Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller. read more

I used to be a huge fan of McAlister's Deli, well the one here in Longview I always looked as the "best" one of the chain, very energetic, positive attitudes, best "Tea Freaks" well that has all went downhill fairly quickly. I moved to the DFW area and was shocked that when I come back to Longview occasionally how much the restaurant has went down. For example, I usually get the Sweet Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, which would back then always be crispy pressed panini bread, always hot and warm and tasty! I kid you not, the past 10 times I've been the bread looks like they didn't even put it in a panini maker, the bread is cold, wilted, and due to that the chicken is fairly warm if that. One MAJOR thing, besides the food being lazy and poorly made. The restaurant is disgusting. No, not the tables. Not the floor, every single wall of the building is filthy. This place has had this issue since 2015 I've asked them to at least get a wet towel or something and they just don't do anything about it, that right there is absolute laziness and sad, if I worked there I'd be embarrassed that customers are eating next to lord knows what on the wall. Until management gets this establishment fixed I'll just eat at different locations. This place has lost my interest and b. I miss how every visit I would be promised a smile and great service. Not as advertised !!!!! HORRIBLE !!!!!!! Ordered a BLACK ANGUS ROAST BEEF SPUD Black angus roast beef, topped with caramelized onions, cheddar-jack cheese and au jus. Big potato, ok! TOPPINGS: almost no butter, less than a table spoon of cheese that was gone in two bites, roast beef was gone in three bites and no onions or au jus at all. Very disappointed. Portions have shrunk significantly. Shrimp po boy had 5 small cocktail shrimp. Was mostly bread, sauce and lettuce. Full sized French dip sandwich was about the size a half used to be. Did not receive guacamole I paid for. Exceptional food and friendly service. Yes the tea lives up to the hype. The service is very fast compared to other deli type restaurants. I went there last night for supper with 3 of my friends and had an excellent meal for about 9 dollars. I highly recommend it!

My first and last visit. First there is no clear line to order and its a mess. Second when i made my order the cashier assumed the nachos i wanted and did not clarify which one he added... And of course he added the wrong one. I ask why the receipt says its a basket and he says its the same thing but different prizes... It's NOT one is only cheese and the other one has all the fixings. We tell him the error and he fixes it by getting us the correct one at ni additional cost ( at least)... Third.... We made 2 separate orders one for each person... The second order arrived first and the first order we actually had to ask for it and guess what...??? NO NACHOS!!! They arrived after both of us had finished eating the other plate... And you would guess that due to all the inconveniences they would bring us an above average nachos plate.. But no. Those nachos looked like the ones you get at the gas stations... All fixing thrown in without care and the chilli on top tasted like those you get in a can at the supermarket. To make it even worst the sandwich we ordered was salty and the coleslaw tasteless. I haven't eaten at this restaurant in awhile. I usually don"t order salads at this restaurant but tonight I thought I would try one. I got a chef salad to go. Once I got home, I took about 3 bites and threw it away. Quite possibly the blandest taste I have ever had. What I did taste was an overpowering of tomato and cucumber. Had to search to find any meat in this salad. My husband reminded me that neither one of us order salads at mcallisters. I could make a better one at home for less price. read more
