This location is better than the one on Eldorado in west Frisco. That one always smells like moldy dog for some reason. This location actually smells like a clean restaurant, go figure...but I digress. Salads and sandwiches are fine. You can make substitutions, and they usually get it right. I typically get the savannah chopped salad, without tomatoes because tomatoes are squishy, icky, and gross. I also get the chipotle ranch dressing (and usually order an extra one at that) because when I get salad, I like to go full fat over the top on the dressing. That's how I roll, yo. We've tried many other salads, sandwiches, and soups, and they're all fine. They fix your drink behind the counter, which I always thought was weird. Who doesn't trust folks to fix their own drinks these days?!? Luckily, your drink cup is just shy of a gallon in total volume, and it's filled to the top, so you get to try to get the lid on without spilling all over the place. If you can, you probably deserve more than a salad. read more

I have never been here before but it seems pretty good to me. I don't really easy processed lunch meats but I tried the chicken salad on the nine grain chiabati. Tasty and the bread was really fresh. Came in late on a Saturday night and I am happy I did. I have never tried food from this or any of the other locations and it seems like I have been missing out! I ordered the King Club Sandwich with a side of potato salad and it was delicious. The sandwich was fresh, tasted great and was filling. The potato salad was also very good and a good portion to compliment the sandwich that I ordered. The service that I got was also very good and everyone was very friendly which I didn't expect walking in shortly before they close. One of my favorite places of all time! Delicious $3 huge sweet tea, fresh sandwiches & salads! The staff is always friendly and their rewards program is pretty cool as well! No complaints here. The employees are super friendly and helpful. BUT the MANAGER is so rude! My order was wrong and I returned to fix it. I was polite and explained the situation. The employee was kind and quick to help. When he stepped in he was rude and blamed me for the wrong order. I still attempted to be polite and thank him and wished him a goodnight. He dismissed me with an irritated look and no response. While I waited for my new order other employees offered me water and asked if I needed anything else. This is my second time eating at McAlisters in the past 2 weeks. Although my food has been very good and tasty. I have gotten home to realize that my to-go order was wrong both times! The first time I ordered a Spud Max and came home to realize I had some sort of tangy chicken chipotle spud (it was good so I didn't complain). This time I ordered the chicken chipotle spud and a sandwich and came home to two sandwiches. (Neither was the kind that I ordered) and my chips were missing completely. I didn't think to look in the box because the cashier did and called the order back to me before handing it I me. I came here on a Friday around 12:30pm. Their parking lot gets filled up quickly, so you might have to circle around a few times. There was only one person ahead of me - no line during lunch rush! I got their loaded roast beef spud: Baked potato loaded with roast beef and cheese with a side of butter and sour cream. Sprinkle salt and pepper on it, it's so filling and good. Oh, their fountain drinks and teas are really big, which is great because I never need to ask for a refill. UPDATE Sep 2017 When traffic is heavy on Preston Rd it is hard to approach from south to crossover in front of oncoming southbound traffic. Suggestion: take light at Headquarters and go left (west) on Headquarters Dr for about a block. Turn right on Belleview Dr which is road behind (west) of restaurant, continue to Towne Square and turn right which will put you very close to restaurant. This route is also good when traveling east on Headquarters Dr, no need to go out onto Preston Rd. read more

The only reason I am giving them three stars is because my food was good. But like the location that used to be near me and has since closed down, their service stinks. I ordered a sandwich to go and a sweet tea to sip on while I waited. (Their sweet tea is my favorite of all time) I waited way too long for my food. I literally watched my meal and others' meals sit in the window just waiting for delivery at least a good 10 minutes. No wonder I see all these complaints about cold food. Horrible 1st and last time here! I ordered the jalapeño crunch sandwich to go with a side of Mac and cheese and a cookie. The Mac and cheese was warm at best and not very good at all. No flavor and tasted like it was made in the microwave. The sandwich was worse! 1st off I asked for no mayo and my receipt it says no mayo...guess what was on my sandwich? MAYO! The sandwich was cold and the sticker from the avocado was in my sandwich!! I threw the whole thing away and wasted $12 and now I'm without a lunch. I will NEVER order from here again. I came in today for lunch. The line was long but moved quickly. Today was free day! Tomorrow is the grand opening, but today was a special preview day. I ordered the reuben. It had tons of meat and was on that marble bread that I love. I had potato salad as my side, very good. I had a large wildberry tea unsweetened, and a large chocolate chip cookie. After many disappointing sandwiches from various other chains, whether it be poor quality cold cuts, poor quality bread, too little of this or that, I became a huge McAlister fan from my very first sandwich. I took my order to go, but the dining room looked well-kept and inviting. They had a few tables that rock back and forth which is annoying. The service was pleasant but I would definitely order ahead next time to avoid the wait. Very reasonable prices. I like to stop by here when I need a quick lunch. It's a good alternative to Panera bread. The food is slightly above average. Being in the business district.. lunch time can get pretty hectic. I dropped by to get a baked potato and soup and basically waited close to an hour for my to-go order. It was a bit frustrating waiting but I can tell the employees were very tired but working their best! It didn't help that most of the customers were taking it out on them.. like their order should be top priority against everyone else's. My food was sitting out opened for about 20 minutes until the manager finally got a break and was able to help me. I told him that it was fine because I had a microwave back at the office anyways. He instead went to the back and personally re-made my order fresh! He then came back and thanked me for my patience and offered a coupon to make it up to me :') Customer service is a big factor when I go out to eat, and the employees here go above and beyond and genuinely values your business! I wasn't able to catch the name of the manager, but I'll definitely be back for lunch sometime. I think they're still working out a few kinks since they've recently opened. The Arlington location runs more efficiently during peak hours, but they've been opened for awhile! I think they'll figure it out eventually :) read more

I decided to give Mcalisters another try after being disappointed with how dirty it was every time I went in. This time the restaurant was clean. No more food on the floors with dirt tables as had been the case everytime I went in. The food was very good ( always has been) I am glad management listened and took my last review seriously.
