I've been to other Lazy Dog locations for dinner but this was my first time for brunch, and it was a pretty mediocre experience when it came to the food. The overall menu is very extensive with items ranging from burgers to sandwiches to Asian-inspired bowls and more. On top of their regular menu, they also have a brunch menu that is served until 2pm, so both my fiance and I ordered brunch dishes (as I'm a HUGE fan of breakfast foods). I got the lumberjack pancake tacos which were solid. It's a unique take on regular tacos in that the tortillas get replaced by pancakes enclosing a breakfast filling (bacon, fried egg, cheese, and potatoes). The dish comes with a side of tater tots and a cajun gravy sauce. The pancake tacos were a bit hard to eat like regular tacos so I ended up just using fork & knife which worked out great. I enjoyed the cajun gravy as well and really liked the overall mix of flavors and textures! My fiance got the breakfast club which was a big miss... He described it as an avocado & egg biscuit sandwich because there was barely any bacon to be found, and what little bacon there was looked more like bacon bits as opposed to actual bacon strips. We ate dinner at the Lazy Dog in Plano on 8/1. We had the Cuban sandwich and the club sandwich both of which were excellent. Our server was fantastic as well. Before we left we purchased 2 of the Chicken Pot Pies off of the TV dinner menu. Monday night we ate them. Popped them in the oven for an hour, when they came out they looked and smelled so good. At first bite we discovered they were delicious. Absolutely delicious. The price was fair for the amount of food received. I was surprised to see such large chinks of chicken. I'm not a fan of white meat chicken because it's always dry, but the chicken wasn't dry at all. I'm anxious to try the other TV dinners. Oh and the TV dinners are a brilliant idea. read more

Ordered medium rare. More on the rare side, but that's fine - I like it that way. Unfortunately, it was so greasy I couldn't hardly pick it up for all the grease dripping off. A pool of grease on the plate. And saturating the bun so badly it turned to mush. Had to eat the burger with a fork. Tasted good, though. Eight of us together. They brought everyone's food out, almost together, but not my wife's - had to wait several more minutes for hers to come, making it very awkward, while some of us politely waited to start (letting our food get cold), while others dug in. She finally received her blackened chicken burrito bowl. The chicken was pretty sparse, and it was grilled, but sure didn't appear blackened. She said it tasted OK, though. They brought a credit card machine to each person paying individually, four at once, which was an excellent feature. Kudos on that. The food is definitely a hit or miss, same goes for their cocktails. Not always consistent, but it makes sense since the menu is so big. The food there is basically glorified bar food, which is still good. Definitely recommend the cajun fries; I believe this item is always consistent as far as I know. I've tried the crispy tuna rice once and it was great. I tried the cheese curds once and it was extremely over cooked, super hard and stiff. The desserts weren't that great either. The all American burgers are good as well-my party ordered one well done and the other med well, but once we got the food, the server told us it doesn't really matter because they have thin slices. So far, only one server stood out to us the most (we don't remember his name, but he was so sweet and funny), whereas the other ones are just averagely good. Ambiance is casual and chill.
