OK, after 11 yrs we got back to this new location. Lots and lots of competition for casual lunches in Collin county. Pretty sure this McAlister's was located several blocks north of current location. I think they occupy to old Container Store location. Anyway great food and service. We both got the pick two and it was plenty of food. Lots of other customers there for lunch and take out. Don't be concerned about ratings on Yelp. Google reviews much better and higher star rating. Very nice interior layout. Just like before but with new stuff. See photos. Hot sunny days try to park on north side for shade without blocking take out parking spots.

This is my second attempt to get my wrap... I have ordered the same thing a few times and have gotten something different each time. They greet you when you walk in, but then are kind of half checked-out.

Been here twice and I've really enjoyed both times! They have decent deals on the app which is why I went. Was super yummy and lots of flavor. I've not typically a baked potato girl but WOW theirs is really yummy and flavorful. Service is fantastic, there's one guy at this location that doesn't even look like he works there but he's so chill and nice. Inside it's clean and I like the no contact order idea, helps when the line is long.

No fries! Ah, what a nice change for a fast food eatery. You can actually have your sandwich with steamed vegetables or salad. Don't get me wrong, you can still find fattening options here (potato chips anyone?), but you might be more likely to choose something healthy and delicious. We don't normally visit this location in Plano, but we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. I think we must have just missed the lunch crowd because a few of the tables still hadn't been cleared of debris. Thankfully there were still lots of clean tables to choose from, including one by the window. It's mostly just parking lot and freeway to look at, but that is pretty much par for the course in the DFW metroplex. I ordered a Jalapeño Turkey Crunch with a side tomato and cucumber salad. The sandwich was fantastic! I was tempted to return to the deli today and get the same thing again. It had just the right balance of each ingredient. The jalapeños provided a bit of heat. The avocado chunks were cool and creamy. At first I thought the crunch was the super thin layer of bacon on the sandwich, but it turned out to be perfectly placed potato chips that didn't overwhelm the sandwich. Even the bread was scrumptious. It was super soft and easy to tear off with every bite. The jalapeño cooked into the bread complemented the sandwich. Sadly my tomato and cucumber salad was not as good. There were too few tomato chunks, and the pieces that were there, were quite large. The oil/vinegar/balsamic sauce that they were swimming in did not seem fresh. I immediately regretted not getting the steamed broccoli like my hubby or even a soup instead. My husband's french dip looked amazing. He had no complaints. Matter of fact there was no conversation because he was busy enjoying his meal too. The young man at the register was helpful during our meal selection and afterwards when we asked for drink refills of tea before departing. While we might not return to this particular location, I will definitely return to McAlisters to order this sandwich.

    A close up.

Good stuff. 13 layer club sandwich and carrot cake. Delivered by Uber Eats ahead of schedule.

When I went I ordered a Reuben, but the person who brought it to my table called it a New Yorker, which has ham in it, causing some confusion (I do not eat ham). It was a Reuben but I was freaked out for a minute or two. I also asked for spicy brown mustard and received yellow mustard, so some quality issues.... but the sandwich itself was good. Also, this may be a tad nit-picky, but my plate and bowl hadn't been wiped and looked dirty when they were served to me. I'm sure it wasn't dirty, but maybe the person who was plating could be more careful and try to be neater? It just didn't look appealing.

The food was shockingly better than expected. My caprese warm rice bowl was worth the money. The guac and chips I got as a side were a bit stale and mid but nothing bad. My bf got the crunch wraps and noted they were dry and needed sauce, but that chorizo was a good addition. The dining room is a bit dirty, but that's to be expected when the concept is the populace cleaning up after themselves. When we were there, it wasn't crazy dirty, just not pristine. My soda from the soda machine was bad (missing lots of syrup), but I just got a different soda. Overall, it's nothing amazing, but a good more budget friendly option IMO. I don't regret that we tried it.

What trumps it for me is the fried cod, they are outstanding. The fries are just meh. The deduction in point is the melted butter dispensed in plastic baglets. It does something to the taste. ATMOSPHERE: This place looks like a clean, stripped down diner. As it should because they need to keep prices down. I have been 3 times, each time expecting my fellow patrons to not clean up after themselves but not true! It is always clean. SERVICE: The service people are behind the front working their rear off to put out great food. There is no tip jar. They are friendly and hard-working. This is where they shine! TIP: Order the extra portion lobster meat, take it home and use your own melted butter or better yet, the cod!

They offer a pretty good selection of salads, like Greek, Thai, Cobb, Caesar, and Ranch, as well as dressings of your choice. I like their Thai salad, which has cucumber slices, shredded carrots, romaine lettuce, and red cabbage. They are all very fresh. The dressing is actually what I like the most. It's peanuty, spicy but not too strong, with a subtle tangy and sour note. For my protein option, I've tried their chicken and tofu. The chicken is fine. I like the tofu better though, which is moist, tender, and savory. They also offer seasonal lemonade drink. I've had their cucumber mint lemonade, which is super refreshing especially on a hot Texas summer day! The service is fast. I was there one time during the peak lunch hour. The vehicle line was long, but it moved pretty quick. Give it a try if you want a quality salad at a great price!

Check their socials because they were also running a year end special for $6 entrees. I liked it and would come back again.

It was a Tuesday night, yet the restaurant was completely packed all the way through closing at 11 pm. We instantly knew that we picked the right place if it was this busy on a random weekday. Everything we ordered was incredible. The entire menu is halal. The beef kebab was tender and full of flavor, the chicken kebab was perfectly cooked, and the steak was just as good. But the real standout for us was the baklava. It's made in-house and served fresh and warm with ice cream, and honestly, I still crave it to this day. We ended up coming back several times during our two-month stay in Texas, and every visit was just as good as the first. I can't wait to try this again the next time I'm in Dallas!
