Ok, today I ordered "curbside" pickup and gave them my vehicle description. I arrived and sat in the parking lot for approximately 10 minutes waiting for someone to bring my order. So I went inside and asked if my order was ready and the smart a** behind the counter pointed to a shelf and said it's over there. I asked him if that was "curbside" and he said yes. I've ordered curbside pickup from other places and they bring it to you. I gave two stars because the sandwich was good but their attitude was not. This was my first time at a McAlister's Deli. They have over 300 location. But none of them are near where I live. It's a fast casual deli that bring the food to your table. The vegetarian options seemed limited to me. The veggie club I ordered lacked any compelling flavor. So it was kinda like eating alot of bread with underwhelming veggies. To try and add some heat to it, I requested hot sauce. They only had tabasco, which is the condiment equivalent of Nickelback. read more

I like lighter meats, like turkey and chicken, so have never tried the New Yorker until a couple weeks ago. I gave in to son's request to try his and was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. The rye bread had a lighter flavor than I've experienced in the past which I think makes this sandwich work. Yesterday I ordered it on country white, thinking the bread was what I wouldn't like for a whole sandwich. Turns out it was the mustard that I didn't like. The country white turns gummy - I do not recommend it. Will have to order it with rye and no mustard next time. I may have just found a new favorite here! Customer service at this location is always top notch, other than the occasional extra that is missed (like a cookie) on take outs. Check your order before leaving. Always clean. I've been a long time fan of McAllisters Deli. They won me over after several occasions where I'd measure them against Panera and Jason's. When I moved to Durant in 2011, I knew I'd miss a lot about the DFW metroplex, with McAllisters being at the top of that long list. Hearing they were bringing one to Sherman, I couldn't wait to try it out. I've noticed in my time in this great area that new businesses have many challenges; tight-knit communities who love tradition, expectations of perfection, and vocal critics. A colleague had a chance to eat at the newly opened site before I did, and her opinion was mediocre at best. Simply put - I was worried My first visit was during the middle of the week in the early afternoon. I found the place well staffed, and my specific and enthusiastic order led the cashier to remark that I must be a fan. The food here was as delicious as any of the others I'd eaten at. It was a great experience. I've been back a half dozen times, and the only time I could honestly say I noticed anything less the excellent was during a major lunch time rush. I have to say after being a patron at many of these restaurant, the Sherman's store layout is very odd. Traffic patterns converge awkwardly and the ordering counter t the back with the takeout was not good planning in my opinion. However the store employees have made the best of a less than ideal layout. I also wish this site had outside seating - they had adequate space on the lot if they'd considered it, and North TX/Southern OK residents enjoy the option. My concern is contaminated ice. While in the restaurant 7/3/21, I watched as the manager was filling the ice bins behind the counter with bags of ice. She dropped the bag on the ground to break ice up. She then picked up the bag, opened it and put the bag into the bin to dump in the ice. As I watched her do it the third time and after another customer to a video of it, I asked her if she realized that she was contaminating the ice with the bags. She sighed and said that she would empty the bins and replace the ice. SHE DIDN'T. She picked up the other two bags that were on the ground and continued to fill the bins. read more

I come in a few times a year and usually have good food and excellent service. Today the food was great but service was seriously lacking. No table service follow up, dirty tables and trash on the floor that managers ignored as they delivered food. They were out of broccoli cheddar soup and out of broccoli and coleslaw on the sides. I will hesitate before coming here again. Panera Bread can provide the same type of food but for less money. read more

This place is terrible...stay away! We went for lunch and my beef sandwich not only looked like pig slop, I bit into a piece that was really chewy and tasted awful. I had to spit it out and rid myself of the plate. Even the chocolate chip cookie was old and stale. What a shame. read more

Best sandwiches in town. I've been back so many times already I was able to use the reward card they punch for each meal. I just wish the drink selection was better because they only seem to have sweet tea or coke. I'm also looking forward to the road construction being done some day because right now the bridge to cross the highway is closed. McAlister's and Firehouse Subs both have great sandwiches, of the two McAlister's is larger and has more variety than Firehouse. McAlister's also has many different ways to order a baked potato and a good variety of salads, their new Southwest Chicken and Avocado salad I had the other day was great. You can't go wrong with either place, if you're like me you will enjoy both because they're each different but each one is very good and the employees also do a very good job. read more

There are lots of sandwich/Deli's to choose from in Sherman and I was a bit apprehensive when I went in this one just off 75. I was very surprised. I was there for a late lunch and the place was clean with fast service. The food was very tasty and well worth the stop. I work in the area so I've tried almost all the fast (or mostly fast) food places north of 82 along 75 and when I want a sandwich, this will be my first choice. read more
