This is a picture of r old greasy fries that was served in 2 of r to go orders

I will share a picture of our French fries that are old and saturated in grease...not eatable at all...the cook should be ashamed of him self for even serving such a thing...r order unfortunately was to go...but this is 2 out of 3 times that have been terrible. So this local won't be going back... I was hoping with new owners that it would of been a different experience

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy little brew pub located in the heart of McCall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a great variety of beers available and the option to take some home too. I tried the Wobbily Man Smoked Scotch Ale and the Tangle Foot English Ale. Both were quite tasty and went down smooth. There's a good food menu too with pub grub. I ordered the bangers and mash. It was a very hearty portion and it paired nicely with my beer choices. The bratwurst was very flavorful. The place is crowded but the servers do their best to provide good table service.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really enjoyed the upstairs patio with a perfect view of downtown and the lake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered steak fingers which were cooked perfectly although a little on the skinnier side compared to some I had before. However, more than enough for me and my friend to share!

The KO burger while it looks good it was flavorless and so overcooked

What an utter disappointment and should've known better but took the benefit of the doubt and trusted my Yelpers! The only extra star was the ok service despite having to ask for every condiment to go with our food. Inside typical brewhouse vibe and was looking forward to trying it out. Now while they do have a good local beer selection we are taking a break from alcohol so we didn't try any. That might've been the high point. For food we started with the spicy wings. I asked for them crispy and well done. Out they came really fast and I knew from the get go they wouldn't be as ordered. Sure enough they were as expected gummy and not well done. Plus even though we asked for ranch and blue cheese we had to wait another 5 mins to get some. For food I had the KO burger which could've doubled as a hockey puck between 2 buns. It also lacked any seasoning at all on the patty. Plus the fries were right out of a frozen bag. My wife ordered the fish and chips and despite being next to one of the top 10 biggest fresh water lakes in Idaho this was the worst display of fish and chips. Tasted like frozen fish with some I am not sure what breading. For a brewer my how are these not beer battered? Same frozen tasteless fries as well. The fish was so inedible my wife didn't even eat it. This is a once and done place for me and very disappointing. In a town with very limited options for good place they have fallen to just that short!

The tasty Say Whut Coconut Porter.

McCall Brewing Company was a brewery I got to try out a little while ago in neighboring Idaho . I got the Say Whut Coconut Porter. I do really enjoy a good Coconut Porter and this one wasn't too bad. Dark and smooth in body this Porter does a good job with that. Also sweet and as I would hope with Coconut flavors made this porter fairly likeable for me. Not the best Coconut Porter I've ever had but definitely formidable and gets the job done nicely.

We were visiting McCall and decided to stop in to eat at this restaurant. We got seated and everyone decided to use the restroom, as we had been on an ATV for a few hours. The waitress seemed impatient when only 2 people were seated and the others walked off to the restroom. We did give her our drink orders, but she kept showing up when not everyone was at the table. She did answer some questions that we had regarding the menu. My husband ordered the buger with fries. He said it was pretty good, but a bit decent. I ordered the tenders and fries. I thought that the tenders were pretty good, but some pieces were really hard. I still enjoyed them, and loved them with ranch. My FIL loved the onion rings that came with his meal and said they were super tasty. Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was alright.

Chicken tenders

We came here for lunch on Saturday and had a couple beers and glasses of crappy champagne lol. (Noted for next time, skip the cooks champ). We were starving and ordered the bbq chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. The food was fine, nothing to brag about but it was a good meal and we cleared our plates. Service was good. Bill was pretty pricey spending $72 out the door with tip.

The food was great and the service was excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a great view from the patio[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Recommend you visit this place

Mimosa in a beer glass

I can now say that I had a mimosa in a beer glass haha. Mimosa was good, cider was great, near looking place, friendly staff. My husband got to taste a couple of their beers and e took a bottle home. I think I would enjoy coming back it is a neat place and we felt comfortable there.

Dined on the upstairs patio! It has amazing views and the fish tacos are stellar. We will go there again when back next summer!

Flat beer, pub favorites are not worth eating, and stay clear of the beer cheese soup.

The door at the back of the parking lot is where we entered into what appears to be an old dance hall/bar. One person was working the place, meaning she was the bar tender, waitress, bus person, and cook. Needless to say it took a very long time for the food to come out. She warned us though that it'd be a while. The food itself was outstanding. The sandwich was packed with meat and there was no skimping on my buddies salad either. Drinks are self serve. Overall a worthwhile stop if you have a bit of time. Hopefully they get the staffing thing all worked out.

No flights to be had but I started with a pint of "Let's Go Brandon" amber. I'm not sure who Brandon is but I wish he'd go... The amber was quite good and malty. I would have gone with a second pint of the same but switched it up. Meanwhile, SWPFTD had ordered a pint of the Angler amber which was quite different than mine but still tasty. The second pint I had was the He Devil IPA which wasn't bitter as IPA's go. Nice flavor though. Dinner was in order and we were thinking pizza but the ribeye came highly recommended. It was huge and perfectly cooked medium rare. Add a large loaded baked potato, a salad, and bread with herb butter and I was stuffed. We took quite a bit with us to have steak and eggs tomorrow morning. Heavens Gate is definitely worth your time if you're coming through town. The beer was great and so was the food! It has the feel of a locals bar, which it is. Folks were super friendly. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you!

Wife loved classic bison with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo on a fresh ciabatta bun. I loved the spicy Jack bison topped with charred, jalapeño, relish, Diablo sauce, pepper, jack, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. Big side salad with several choices of dressings. After sitting down, we realized there was no QR code so we had to go back and wait. The beer was underwhelming, the IPA in particular was disappointing. After ordering, we were told the food would take about 40 minutes, but it ended up taking an hour and 20 minutes. When it was finally ready, we had to go pick it up ourselves and carry it back across the creek. Given the lack of service, it's unclear why a tip is expected. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it, both the burger and BLT were mediocre, and everything arrived cold. Overall, takes a long time and there are much better options in town.
