Awesome restaurant with a great variety of food for even a picky eater. I had the Ruben and fries which was delicious. The wife had the Chicken Marcella which she loved. Prices are very reasonable and a great assortment of adult beverages. Great for kids with seating indoors and outdoors. Highly recommended!!!

Found this great spot hiding on a hill top in Carmel. Great family eatery!! A casual fun place with cold beer, nice cocktails, and great food. Place has charm and from what I hear they host so very cool events. The back patio complete with waterfall is absolutely adorable. Look, this is not fine dinning or anything fancy..it's a cool, come as you are type of place with friendly staff and nice clientele. If you find yourself in this beautiful town, definitely stop in for a nice drink and a great burger..ENJOY!!

Nice place. Searching Google for a local place to go, I came across "McCarthy's Grill House" and it looked interesting enough to try. For some reason on Yelp it's "McCarthy Family Eatery" - so not sure which one it's supposed to be. Once inside, it looks like an old school bar and pub, but there's booths and another room with plenty of tables. The place has a nice feel. There's a pool table, an old school arcade game, and just a generally comfortable feel. The menus looked good, was varied enough, and most of the prices were reasonable. The waiter was friendly enough. They put out a bowl of chips and water upon sitting. Be careful not to eat too much of the chips, as they may fill you up before the actual food comes. I always order a bacon cheeseburger when I come to a new place simply because I like it and it's an easy dish, that if the place messes that up then I won't be looking to try anything else. I ordered the French Onion soup, which was good. My companion ordered the Lobster Bisque - which I tried a little of and it was very good. The burger itself was good and cooked correctly, though I wasn't a fan of the poppy seed roll used as a bun. A roll as a bun is fine, but perhaps a heads up that it's a poppy seed roll. I'm not a fan of poppy seeds at all, but it wasn't the end of the world. The fries were fine. There's outdoor seating for when the weather gets nicer. The parking lot is ok enough. It's up a long hill, so drive fast enough and you may miss the turn into this place. Overall a nice place and I would come here again for sure.

A favorite destination. Solid people setving unpretentious, solid fare. Enjoy everything from zucchini sticks to steak, soups to burgers, wraps to shepherd's pie. Don't miss the flights of beer. Fun way to get acquainted with beers you've never had

A wonderful local bar tucked back on Route 52. Reasonably priced with excellent burgers and wings. The staff is warm, engaging, and a blast!

Fun place to be at night, younger crowd but the bartenders are always friendly and you can grab a decent bite to eat as well.

Five stars. One of the few places I have reviewed where I have given a full five-star review…read more Restaurant itself is beautiful. Great lighting, ambiance and bar. Casual but in a fancy way. I'm glad I glowed up for the occasion. Service was phenomenal. Can't say enough. From the hostess (her first day-nice job!!) to our server, bartender and busser. Owner came over a few times to chat. Food. Omg just look at the pics. Delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly, lamb was a tad overcooked but that was my friends' bad for asking for it medium. My salmon--perfection. I like my salmon on the medium-rare side wowsa. Loves every bite (and I do mean every bite 'cause I ate it all). Did I mention the creamed spinach? Best I have ever had. Anywhere. A smidge salty but still had to order a separate side of it as my friend was not sharing hers I nearly forgot the candied bacon. Enough said. Because it was, you guessed it, amazing. Hats off to the chef!! Drinks-my tolerance for a poorly made margarita is zero and the bartender, again-amazing. One of the best margaritas I have had in a restaurant. Cucumber martini, delicious. Only comment is that the bourbon was not cold enough. Then a bottle of Decoy, it was their 'house' wine-say what? You mean the house wine wasn't some obscure wine drastically over-priced? No Virginia, it was not. Dessert-tiramisu out of this world. The Italian ricotta was a little salty. Highly recommend. Make a reservation though.

I left the restaurant feeling immensely bloated, as if the food was just sitting like lead in my stomach. Shortly after feeling genuinely sick. This place is a nice place for a good meal. I've been twice and had two classics..the Corned beef…read moreand cabbage ( which is my favorite meal in the world ) personally, I do prefer it traditional meaning cabbage boiled not fried, served with carrots and with whole potatoes and not mashed and I dont need a gravy...yellow mustard is perfect. But it was a good meal. The Cottage Pie was pretty good..again, I prefer the classics so I would rather a Shepherd's Pie ( with seasoned ground lamb and not beer ), but it was still a nice comfort meal. The decor is cute..I miss the dim light and warm / dark woods and colors that you expect in an Irish pub. I met the owner on the first visit and she is very nice and I wish her great luck..but the kids who work there have very little passion or personality unfortunately. This really is a nice little place and I hope it succeeds..but it has a few up hill issues..first is its smack in the center of many already establishment great restaurants the other big one is this: 75% of people who live up here moved from Southern Westchester or the Bronx..what does that mean? ..it means we all grew up on Rorys!!! And that is what we are seeking up here. Anyway, nice little place for a comfort meal if you are tired of Good Chinese or Italian. Enjoy!
