READ THIS BEFORE YOU EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!!!!!!!! * This place is the worst customer service and staff I have ever experienced in my life. LET me summarize for you: 1. I go to the shop and pick out the new RV I want to purchase. 2. I show up to get the RV and they have it completely ready. My wife and I are so happy. THE GOT THE WRONG RV IS READY and THEY LOST MINE!!!! 3. So the find my RV and then asked me to do a walk through on a similar unit and mine will be ready some other day. 4. So we do the walk through and go home. 5. They deliver the RV and half the parts of the hitch are missing and they say OPPS we screwed up again. Really? 6. So we wait and they send out a couple of repair staff to fix it some days later. 7. So they tell me it may have some issue so I should take it camping and see what kind of issues we have and then bring it back and they will fix them. 8. Stupid me I should have learned by now. So we take it camping and we find several issues: door hook fell of, microwave does not work, flush is not working, table tops are in bad shape and need to be repaired. AND the biggest is the sunlight you can see a stress line in the canopy and it need to be replaced. So they also forgot to put the hanging lights in the camper when they did deliver it. 9. I bring the RV back with all the problems and leave it. 10. And I wait - 2 weeks - Calling saying check back 11. And I wait some more - 4 weeks - Calling saying check back 12. I finally call again today and ask what the hell is the problem. 13. Manger tells me that they are not replacing the canopy because it was most likely done by me as I did not point it out on the walk through!! See number 3 above. Morons!! 14. I have decided to get a lawyer and sue these ID10Ts!!!! FOLLOW UP ON THIS AMAZING CRAP FROM THESE LYING AHOLES They told me if I removed the above yelp they would fix my camper , these cuys actually blackmailed me. The guys name was Steve Dorgone that did teh blackmail. I have his email and will add it to YELP shortly So they do fix my camper and I get It back finally after 3 months. When I get it back they have damaged the side of the camper by letting the awning fall against it as it was being replaced. They may have even did this on purpose. Who knows anymore. When I told them they said I did that before I brang it in all those months ago. Said they had proof but lied about that as well. This really would be funny if it was not so true. My wife and I are getting flyer done up and will be handing them out at Mccleans as people enter these coming weeks. We recently bought a used 2006 26' Vortex Toy Hauler by Thor, from a private party. Finally, a shower that I can stand up straight in. I could tell, there would be some repairs in the near future... But, to what extent? It wasn't until our 3rd stop, that we saw the light. I wasn't just "hunting for bids" here. I was incredibly "uncomfortable" at the first shop. The guy in the Service Department gave my whole family and me, the creeps. On top of that, the quote was for $6500 (complete floor, bearings, leaf springs, re-wired electric and all new cushions, all around. Some I agreed, were necessary. But, the whole floor?!?!?! There was a soft spot near the restroom door, but that was it. A 24"x24" area. Now here's the kicker... The entire trailer, was only $3000.00!!! #2 was almost as bad, without the creepiness. Roughly, the same ballpark for price and condescending. "This is what happens, when you buy from Private Parties Buddy." ***Thanks for the words of wisdom there, Oh Travel Trailer God!!!*** After the last two encounters, we were preparing for the worst. Hoping that the 3rd time would be the charm, off to McClain's we went. We were greeted with a cheerful, friendly and energetic smile. "It's great to meet you, My name's Ramone." The wife and I looked at each other immediately acknowledging how cheery he was. Not some slimy "keep an eye on your wallet, around this guy, And, a closer one, on your kids" like we had, at the first place. I laid out the whole story and showed him the quotes. Ramone was shaking his head right away. Let's go take a look at this floor. As I mentioned earlier, there was only a small area of floor that seemed bad. Lucky for us, he agreed. Ramone went through the entire quote and kept "shaving away." Then came the wiring. I had already been told TWICE, that I was going to have to have the entire trailer re-wired. Come to find out, it was a faulty fuse. Everything else was fine. Already, this was shaping out to be a fraction of what we had already been quoted. He did discover that all of the plumbing was in pretty rough shape though, which the previous two guys completely missed. Needless to say, after it was all said and done, the cost of the trailer AND the repairs that were recommended by Ramone, combined to bring the total to "only a few hundred dollars more than what I had been quoted for the repairs alone!" No more shopping around for us! From Now On, it's going to be straight to McClain's and straight to Ramone. He's friendly, pleasant, detailed and honest. I'll recommend McClain's to anyone and will always be sure to mention "Ask for Ramone. You'll thank me later." read more

We looked around at several brands and models of travel trailers and decided we wanted a Winnebago and had it narrowed to a few different models. We talked with several of the local Winnebago dealers and the McClain's RV of Rockwall had some we could look at. We visited the dealer and were greeted by Ken Campbell. Ken listened to what we wanted and showed us the features we wanted to see as well as others available to us. He really was helpful and not pushy. Our final decisions were centered around which bed style and dinette and table design would work best for us. They offered to bring in the exact model we wanted from another McClains site. They offered a great price and within days we put down a deposit. When we went to pick up the Winnebago they did everything we wanted and then some. Their attitude was to make certain we were happy with the purchase. This was exactly the opposite of experiences we have had a car dealerships. We were not used to being treated so well. James Cofer was the manager that worked with us to complete the sale. He also was also very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. Even though, at this point it was obvious were making the purchase, he still was looking out for what was best for us. Not what I would have expected. Thus the reason for taking the time to do this review. Thank you Ken and James. We have only had the Winnebago home for about a week and are setting it up for our 1st trip. We are still finding useful tips that Ken made that are helpful. The documentation that comes with the Winnebago was really good. I am a hardware hands on type and I thought it would be difficult, if not impossible to get the wiring diagrams and plumbing details that might be helpful in the years to come, but it was all there. I went to their parts department to pick up a few things we would need and even the staff there was pleasant and knowledgeable. The whole experience at McClains was very positive. My wife and I bought a new KZ RV from McClains in early August of this year. Our sales rep Ken Campbell was very attentive and willing to help us find our new home. can't say enough about Ken's willingness to help us. Of course, with any new purchase you have some issues. McClains delivered our unit to the RV park and dropped it off. After going thru and getting it all set up, we noticed some flaws, nothing major but it was a brand-new RV, and we wanted those items repaired. After contacting Mike Robertson in service and letting him know what was wrong, he went to work. it took a few days to address all of our issues and get it cleared thru his boss but got it done. Mike was a service tech prior to his promotion to service advisor and actually came and addressed and repaired all the issues we had with our RV. YIKES. We should have known better. We bought a 2021 SOLITUDE 380 FL from here. Once they take your money and you pull it off the lot they don't care about the customer. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. No one knows who's in charge and we just been given the run around. BRAND NEW RV, not even a month old, and we have had to make 3 trips out here and they have had it half the time to fix issues that could have bene fixed by doing a proper pre-purchase inspection. So much more that I could go on and on. We understand things happen but you can tell the priority is definitely the new sells and not newly purchased warranty work. FYI this is not anything negative towards Grand Design. We love their products and will continue to buy and promote their RVs but will NO longer recommend McClains for purchase. From shopping to an RV to driving it off the lot in two days! Our experience started with the very pleasant receptionist and proceeded to the highly knowledgeable salesman to a personable GM to a very friendly finance manager We couldn't be happier with the service and attention we received. We did experience a major electrical issue the first day we had it home so had to haul it back to Rockwall. Everyone in the service department made it a priority to diagnose the issue and get us back on the road and in the process, provided the best customer service I've witnessed in a long time. I was looking to trade my 2008 RV away for a newer model. I checked McClain's website, saw at least one unit that I liked and filled out the "contact me sheet". I received a call early on Monday from Claudia, who is extremely nice by the way, and began to work on details for a new deal. Claudia was more than helpful and was able to answer any and all questions that I had. I also spoke to the finance manager, Rob, who was also very helpful with our financing. I could not be more pleased with our deal and my wife really loves the new (slightly used but new to us) Minnie Winnie. We purchased a beautiful 2015 class A Gas motorhome in June of 2018. During walkthrough we encountered a slide problem. They corrected it. Later discovered that the sofa/bed had been modified to be sofa only. We needed the sleeping space and they corrected it. Had a huge problem with the same slide a few months later. It took a lot of time (mostly because of excessive time to receive parts from suppliers) but they fixed it. On top of everything else, the dealership absorbed the expenses! I recently purchased my second travel trailer. This is the first time I purchased from McClain's RV. I've had an issue with my trailer that I caused. They were able to correct the problem within 45 minutes. The customer service is awesome. The other dealership (Fun Town RV) that I purchased my first travel trailer from could take lessons from McClains. The other dealership wouldn't know customer service if they fell over it.
