The employees were not engaging, but stuck to the basic required questions, "medium or large?" It has been years since I had a burger from Hardees. They were never my favorite. I went because I was interested to know how their "Mexican" food offered at this location compared to Taco Bell. Obviously, they're trying to compete. To their credit, the portions were generous, much more than expected. Their bean burrito is at least twice the size of Taco Bell's. The amount of meat in the tacos and on the nachos was impressive. However they don't have a good seasoning, so it lacks flavor. I asked for extra jalapeños since they only have one lumpy ketchup style "salsa" (very mild), and I never received the jalapeños. The "salsa" was a joke by any standard. The dining room was clean, but the bathroom needed attention. The building outside looks OK, but some landscaping would make it more welcoming.
