This is an order at the counter place where they give you a number and bring it out. Seat yourself. Surprised to come on a Friday night and be able to get a table for our large party right away. Live music on this night. Very casual vibe with great water views. We really enjoyed our alcoholic beverages. For food I ordered the mahi mahi. You could also do the fish of the day. I could pick two sides. I picked coconut rice and black beans. Food was decent. Fish was overcooked, Imo. Rice and beans were fine just nothing special. Overall it was decent. We had the absolute best time at North Beach Social! The indoor seating is perfect--you get to enjoy a gorgeous view of the bay and the white sand beach. I ordered from the daily specials board and had the blackened redfish and shrimp, which was incredibly flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and fresh.Chef Pierce actually brought our meals to us and checked on us after eating. He was so friendly and passionate about the new dishes for the specials menu each day, and he even brought out some of his newest additions for us to try! First restaurant we had on our first day visiting Santa Rosa! There's indoor and outdoor seating with games to occupy kids. Dogs are welcome which made it so fun to see the puppies. They played in the water and just brought a lighter ambiance to the establishment. There was a singer on the outside area near the bar which just made it a good time! Parents can relax and kids can run around in the sand. We ordered the nachos, tacos, shrimp and grits, and since it was Oktoberfest, they were offering the large pretzel... the pretzel was my favorite, not sure it was worth the $ bc it was pretty pricey considering you order at the counter and have trays like school lunch. We wanted to grab a local bite to eat and decided to try north beach social. Upon arrival, we realized that there was face painting and arts and crafts for the kids in celebration of Dia de los muertos, so of course we had to partake. Following that, little detour, we ordered our food at the counter and proceed it to our table. I noted that all silverware, condiments, napkins were also serve - I'm of a mixed opinion on this point, especially when weight staff is dependent upon tips did income. At any rate, they brought our food out in a relatively short amount of time. The items we ordered were pretty good in terms of flavor and plating. Lucky for us.They also had items on the menu for the picky littles, as well. They had both indoor and outdoor seating - part of the outdoor seating was at the bar and the rest was picnic-style tables in the sand along the bay shore. The weather was the perfect temperature of warmth, which made for a really good experience. Came here for dinner with family. This is a go up and order yourself type of place with no waiters or anything. This place is located on the water and there are yard games in the sand for the kids to play with. There was also live music so it's a nice vibe if looking to hang out for a while. All of our food was good but not amazing. We got the pretzel bites to start which was good and our kids enjoyed them too. For my entree, I had the shrimp po boy. It was huge so at least you got a lot of for the money. I defintley could've done with less. My husband's fish was dry. He did enjoy his alcoholic drink. This is owned by the same owner's as The Bay which is one of my favorite restaurants on 30A and their food always wows me. The food here didn't wow me. I would probably choose to eat at The Bay next time for almost the same price but I could see the appeal of coming here for the atmosphere, especially with kids. read more

Ther is a reason why some restaurants don't have long waits. NBS is on the water and that is the only redeeming quality. I had pork nachos which sat in 1/4 inch a grease that soaked all the nachos on the bottom and rendered them inedible. the nachos also had pickles on them....werid. outside of that they weren't that tasty. How do you mess up pork nachos? NBS figured out how? My 2 guests both got the fish sandwich. It was a small anemic dry sandwich with microwave crinkle fries for $28. There are dozens of other places in the area with better food and prices and service. Even McDonalds would score higher. read more

Awful experience, would never return or recommend. Less than fast food quality at full service prices. You order at a counter and they bring the food to your table with fast food condiment packets. When you pay $18 dollars for a burger they could at least not charge an extra dollar for cheese. Plus the minimum tip is 18%, for what? I had to get my own silverware at the bar, get ketchup packets and go to the bar for drinks! Their drinks have absolutely no alcohol. The whole place is a rip off. The food is edible. Great place if you have kids because they can run and play but the food is nothing to write home about. I ordered the Mahi. It looked to be about 4 oz only and was very dry. Water kept dropping on us from the patio above. I'm sure the drinks were good but I didn't try any. Stopped in after an art show with a group of 9 of us - love the food selection - I had simple dozen oysters and order of fries with some sparkling rose wine ! This is a great place to come eat on the deck and enjoy the bay breeze. Servers were friendly and prompt and even removed plates from table when you were done ! Enjoyed our afternoon. Only "dink" was the numerous water dripping from the upper deck in several locations - not sure what the cause was but would be nice to move the tables to avoid the drips. I have visited this establishment many times while visiting the area. Past experiences have been great, and the food has always been stellar. Yesterday, not so much. I ordered my go to blackened dolphin sandwich. The fish, which is usually tender and flavorful, was dry and tasted old. The tiny sliver from the end of a tomato left much to be desired, and the lettuce was the size of about 1/4 of a leaf of romaine. Time constraints did not allow me to discuss my disappointment with management, but I am hoping they read this review and step up their game. $26 for a fish sandwich, one expects much more. read more

The best meal we had in Florida. Stopped in on our way out of town. Super location, right on the bay, lots of outdoor seating. Order at the register and they'll bring it out to you. Only took us five years to finally come here and now it's one of my favorites. The ordering is smart in that you order first then jockey for a table. The prices are fair and the food is really solid. The order of cheese curds we got was massive and rivaled Northwoods pubs. Kids meals, burgers, and salads were also great. There are so many places in the area that gouge your wallet and this is not one of them. The other huge plus is that your kids can run around creating chaos with a hundred other kids as there are a ton of activities for them to keep busy. read more

They will modify any dish at your request as well--no pre-cooked or frozen entrees here to limit your options! The drinks are fun and interesting! I definitely want to go back and try their kombucha cocktail! Prices are about what you'd expect, three of us had dinner and drinks with no appetizers or desert for right at $40 a person. Service was exactly right and never too much or too pushy. The sand felt wonderful under my toes and we enjoyed watching some ospreys fly and fish over the beautiful water. The best thing here is the vibe and being right off the bay with boaters able to anchor down and walk up. The bar is extensive and your typical beach bar with good beer and spirit choices. A lot of outside tables and games for kids to play. The food I've had both times has been ok. The smoked fish dip, shrimp boil, and fried fish were fine but nothing special. We stopped at North Beach Social for lunch on our way to Destin. We were early for lunch, right around opening time. It did take some time to be greeted at the counter but we quickly ordered and made our way to a table outside. The venue is very cool and family-friendly - a great place to stretch your legs after being in the car for several hours! It's located on the water, so the tables outside are situated in the perfect spot to watch for fish! They have games set up for corn hole and a ton of space. We received our food after about a 15 minute wait. They have condiment stations set up inside / by the bar, so be prepared to walk to/from in the sand if you forget your ketchup!!
